First rat snakes of the season
I love handling these snakes. I think they can sense my intent and they are very cooperative with me. I always release them when I am done.

Spoiling the donkeys before turnout in the rain

I always have unsalted roasted peanuts in the shell with me when I am up on the farm. In the winter it is easy to carry them in the jacket pockets.
Vixen, our alpaca, enjoying a spray down !

Vixen does not like the heat and sometimes in the morning and evenings, I will spray her down and let her drink out of the hose. This was in the evening.
Twin fawns
Просмотров 618 месяцев назад
We have a twin fawns that hang around our house. When they were very young, their mother used to drop them off for a few hours. I managed to record their cute calls for their mother and now it is my Notification sound on my phone.
A rainy morning with the donkeys

Donkeys love watermelon. A short clip of the last round of watermelon pieces for their evening treat.
Putting up the donkeys in the evening
Просмотров 347Год назад
The donkeys get their minerals and vitamins every evening. I put some timothy pellets in it so they think it is feed. When they finish the feed, we give them a treat. Usually an apple and carrot sliced up between them all. Tonight, we had some cantaloupe instead.
White-tail deer in our yard... hanging out in the afternoon.
Просмотров 239Год назад
These deer are among the group of about 10 deer that hang out in our yard. These three were just laying around chewing cud. I kept pushing the limit as to how close I could get. I finally crossed over their safety zone and they had enough and stood and stretched and left back down our driveway.
Off-key frogs
Просмотров 2,3 тыс.Год назад
They sing off-key! But although we call them frogs, they are really Eastern Narrow-mouthed toads. We have heard them for years but never actually seen one. Ever. Them come out after a good rain that leaves puddles.
Tranquility

Three does taking a break before breakfast. This is taken from my sidewalk in front of my house. The deer are kept out of our garden by strategic electric fencing. But hang out and chew their cud most afternoons. One of these does has a fawn. Soon, when the fawns get a little bigger, their mothers will leave them with us for safe keeping and babysitting.

Such a lovely machine. Nicely filmed too. Lovely natural light.
Very helpful, thank you.
You make it look so simple! Wish me luck, I’m about to ply my first yarn.
You can do it!
Hi, Thank you for the video, planning to buy one of these to my sister, wondering if it is easy to use the cranck while sewing, I have no experience in sewing but I always thought they we need 2 hands to hold and direct the fabric. will it be easy to complete a project using one hand on the cranck and one hand on the fabric? thank you
Using a hand crank will require some practice, and certainly speed is not going to happen. You can control the fabric feed with one hand because you are going to be going slower.
@@KevinPinkerton thank you
Where can you get a manual? Recently purchased a machine. Thank you.
Needlebar was my source, but they no longer exist.. but here is a copy on my google drive drive.google.com/drive/folders/1cpNONWmhlAE1JhB1Obejt-YbyhHGCKgz?usp=sharing
And here is my remade part for the tension. The original part was also made of wood . photos.app.goo.gl/p61RcRQr2AYTyy99A

Is it possible to do free motion embroidery on this kind of machine?
My wife says: "My embroidery-experience is by solely letting the feed dogs of my chain-stitch machine move the fabric...I like the control I have in following the pattern, and also the even stitching that is produced this way."
I have 3 of these machines and I have been looking everywhere for a tutorial like this and yours is awesome
My wifes loves using this machine and I will pass along your praise!
Thank you very much for this awesome video! I enjoyed it so much watching it and got a lot of information! God Bless You! Please keep making your Accelent videos!
You are welcome. I have another camera video adaption in mind, but I have no idea when I will make it. It will be about how to remove lenses from older, folding cameras and getting them to fit onto a helicoid for use on a mirrorless.
Perhaps your ring tone is an insult in donkey talk, and your donkeys are taking exception to being disrespected. 🙂
I found this video that shows how to build a good "cop" on a drop and supported spindle... ruclips.net/video/XTd4Rt_Vaw0/видео.html
Best example of the drafting triangle that I've seen on any video!
Thanks. I will pass that along to her.
Thank you so much for this. Your video opens up a huge world of possibilities, & the technical material & your clear explanations are just fantastic. I've been looking for a video like this for quite a while. Also love the subject matter of your channel! You remind me of the farmers I knew in Indiana when I lived there.
Thank you! I hope to make a video sometime on how to pull lenses off of old rangefinder cameras and similar and show how I get them to work on my mirrorless. I just need to make the time.
@@KevinPinkerton I hope you realize how absolutely excellent your videos are. I know farmers don't have a lot of spare time. I've subscribed (loved the snakes video!), and look forward to seeing what you do in the future. Farmers were some of my best friends when I was in Seminary & pastoring rural churches. Great to get to know you. What state are you in?
@@stevencbradley thank you again. The farm is a true blessing to my wife and I. I'm in southern Maryland, south of DC on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay. My wife's father bought the farm back in the late 50's and my wife grew up farming and made a career out of it when she graduated from college. We are the current caretakers now.
Hey Friend, Im curious to know what the brand of those collars are to adapt the projector lens. The names or links would help tremendously. Thank you for your hard work brother.
There is an RAF Camera link in the description....:)
I bought a vivitar 28mm f2.8 in m42. It's a m42 mount but when i screwed it on a fix adapter ring i can't get any focus (close to me or to infinity). The back lens goes too deap around 12mm, it's too close to the sensor. It's seems to be a sort of "customised" lens. In this state it's unusable so i thought to use it as clipboard... But after watching your video, there is a new hope ! Thank you !!!
I have screwed up internal focusing helicoids myself (while taking them apart) and they are next to impossible to line back up. External helicoids can often solve that problem and fortunately M42 helicoids come in lots of lengths. Good luck!
@@KevinPinkerton I'll let you know if i solve my problem (i found external 9mm and 14mm helicoids, i hope to find the good length...)
@@KevinPinkerton Hello i received the hellicoids and the 9 mm length solved my problem !!! The lens is now 100% usable !!!
It looks like donkeys are more lovable than horses. Jeremiah is so sweet. Just adorable, all of them. Thanks for the video. 🌸🥰
Thank you. They are very much like big house dogs. Very polite most of the time too. I have never owned any horses..
And I even like the camera in Nikon yellow ...🦘
haha. That was my way of making sure I picked up the correct Z camera when I went out to shoot. I have had a full spectrum and a normal Z6 when I made he video.
I have one, 3-1 g 2492949. It was used as a sail maker and has a double foot tredle
Very cute ☺️ thank you for sharing a part of your life with us
You are welcome Eva !
They are all rotary hook machines, but not all gear driven. The 201k, made in Great Britain, were belt driven. This one is clearly not gear driven, unless you count the gears in the hand crank.
You are incorrect. This machine is gear driven and I am not talking about the hand crank. If you look underneath the machine you will see all of the gearing. Prior to the 201, all of the domestic Singer machines were cam driven. The gearing on the 201 is what makes this one of the best cast iron domestic Singer machines ever made.
thank you for this from someone who is just starting my vintage lens journey. trying to figure out how to get a petri breech mount lens onto my gh5m2😂
If you cannot find a fixed adapter for it (which you probably cannot), look for an old Petri camera, or perhaps extension tubes or bellows for the Petri and work some magic to get the camera side onto a M65 or M42 threading. For use in a helicoid. M42 helicoids come in shorter lengths than the M65 ones. Super glue is an alternative for adapting the camera mount to a M42 or M65 threaded ring...
@@KevinPinkertonthank you for the response. i have a couple of ideas including a sacrificial petri body already in my cart on ebay. the petri mount looks pretty straight forward to come off the body, I'm just trying to figure out the best way to adapt it to a helicoid. ideally i want a speedbooster involved somehow because the 2x crop on the m4/3 body. the petri lens is in the mail, ill have a better idea what I'm dealing with when it gets here
Amazing how she drinks from it, lol. Beautiful
She was a rescue and I suspect this was something she picked up from her first home.
You two and our donkeys are so cute
Sews even though it isn’t threaded properly!
What is wrong with the threading? I am sure I used a manual to figure it out
Tilt shift built into the huge adapter space is also a world of possibility. Better if you have an APS-C mirrorless, and use full frame lenses, so that you can still cover the whole sensor with the image while tilting etc. or medium format lenses on FF
That makes sense! I have never shot tilt/shift but I do have an M42 adapter for it. Perhaps someday...
Pivoting with the needle down is what Ive always done, I can’t see why you’d do it differently. Thanks, this is a lovely tutorial.
I have one. It has double foot al9ng with peddle. Sail maker, i believe. 3-1g2592949. Can anyone tell me about it?
Beautiful 🌹
This video is underrated.
Thank you. I am going to do another video sometime on how to adapt some old box camera, TLR and other type lenses to work with a mirrorless. I cannot promise when, but over the winter I hope

That can’t be good to breathe it in? I discovered you today, I too have a sewing machine by W&G, but hadn’t yet thought of using it for embroidery. It’s obvious now though. I’ve not had it for long. From Susanne in Richmond, Surrey UK.
I assume you have found the video on the W&G chainstitch... She uses it in hand crank mode when doing embroidery. I am pretty sure she does not use if for regular sewing. We have a Cornelly (Singer version) that she wants to spend time with and practice with. It does the chainstitch on top where you can see it. The W&G she uses came out of a treadle and we got the handcrank for it from somewhere in the UK. And to be honest, the W&G she uses is actually a National clone of the W&G. But it is identical. If you use FB, my page is facebook.com/kevins.donkeys and you will find Cheryl FB under my friends.

If there are pellets there, than they are poop pellets. The lambs drink only mother's milk for several weeks.
