Просмотров 4,5 тыс.5 месяцев назад
In this video, I walk you through step by step how we make custom stickers for thousands of businesses in the United States. From file prep to the actual printing and cutting to the shipping side to it. If you have any questions please let us know! Thanks!
Can you share your cut settings on the graphtec? Thanks!
Can you make one with dye cut this is love your content
Does using the cold laminator still have small bubbles in the stickers? I’m using oracal vinyl with 210 laminate
You don’t have to laminate it? When to laminate and when not? Thank you for the help
Thank you very much man your video help me through my first lamination project.
Hi what kind media are you printing the stickers on ? Thx
Love your video! Where did you get that banner stand?
I find not exposing all of the adhesive at once minimises the chances of dust and dirt getting between the laminate and the sticker
Do you also do heat lamination? Whats the purpose of doing heat vs cold lamination on stickers? For example, I hear some people use matte heat lamination for vinyl stickers.
Great video man, been trying to understand the sticker making process to make one for my tablet. Watched a bunch of videos, some of them sponsored by companies, but all they talk about is the quality or some unnecessary nonsense. Yours was the most precise and helped me understand the process somewhat decently. Thanks.
You know you could have printed the grommet placement on the banner in flexi
@@LucianGraphics yes I know this! It’s a great feature!
Is the double tape on the sides for the banner look good or we can hold or stick direct to window shop ?
For hemming. When I fold it over it makes a thicker border. So when I grommet the corners it’s more sturdy and less chance of ripping in severe weather.
@@stickershuttle thank you
great video, curious why the graphtec is used if the printer can also cut?
Because the print cuts very slowly and isn’t as accurate for perf cut.
@@stickershuttle ah thank you, I always wondered why people did that.
What vinyl do you use? Can it be used with a inkjet printer?
Eco solvent and UV only
@@stickershuttle what brand is the vinyl? I’m looking to make some signs on vinyl/pvc banner material and adding permanent vinyl to it.
what type media you use Sir ?
Are you using a generic ICC profile?
Depends on the material. Most of the time just Mimaki or 3M
@@stickershuttle so did you create your own ICC profile? Can you show how your profiles are made?
@@da_nk no you can download them from Mimaki’s website on the download page.
So an actual tech will come out and show you I’m thinking of buying this and wanna make sure I buy the right material and be able to know the software
Yes you can hire a tech!
My first plotter was 30 years ago. A Gerber. Doesn’t exist anymore. When technology changed I moved along, now I use 10’ Vutek UV, eco solvent print and cut, solvent 16’ printer, Dye sub 8’ all in 1 print and heat, dtf, and many more. This business is a milking Cow.
Pretty awesome work dude ... I really enjoyed watching the whole thing and hearing the whole story... I like that a lot. (commitment).
Thank you!!!!
You mentioned the laminate is GF402 - forgive me is that General Formulations? I’ve been wanting to experiment with cold lam. Secondly, any tips on figuring out contour Cut and perf settings on the cutter? I know this is a big ask. Thank you in advance.
Yes! general formulations! Biggest tip is making sure the blade is a credit card depth once inserted. Print 100 stickers. Then set force to like 10 and go up until it cuts thru with no rough edges.
@@stickershuttle thank you. I’ve been doing everything with a kiss it and contour cut for easy peeling, but I’m using a 3M vinyl without laminate. It’s flimsy. Your approach looks great. Thank you for sharing your content.
I’d love to know how to order one of these banners!
Just got it added! stickershuttle.com/products/x-banner
As a content creator and small business as I fell into this video and immediately went to look for your banners as I’m looking for one to be made annnd I don’t see it. I see you kinda new here and making your way and if you use your about area you can link your website and all your social medias so people can order and connect from here !
Hey! I am new to RUclips. Wasn’t sure there was a place for links. Our instagram is more engaging.
Super bro✊🏾✊🏾🫂
just wondering why even open Flexi when all you have to do in illustrator is name the color contourcut to cut?
Margins, cut pressures, syncing with my graphtec and Mimaki, presets, maximizing print space, step and repeat. I do a lot more than stickers so it’s nice to just use it for everything. My presets allow it to be quicker but I do it manually here to show the process a bit more.
Appreciate the video! On the graphtec, are you using a cut line pattern? It didn't look like it in the video but im not sure how they dont just fall out after cutting a straight line if not.
I have it dialed in almost perfectly so they don’t fall out.
I have a company in the netherlands and we do the same thing only a bit bigger. Your video reminds me of how fun and awesome it is what we do. Love your setup and workplace. Also your cat just chilling on the printer. Looks like a happy place. Keep up the good work! Love the content and the reminder of that what we do is awesome.
Sure love to hear that!!! Thank you!!
How do you get sticker business what kind of advertising?
No advertising, just word of mouth and Instagram.
What do you charge for 100 stickers ?
Around $92 for 3". The more you buy the bigger the discounts! Our website has a full online pricing calculator! stickershuttle.com
Nm, about answering my last question, you literally start this video answering it lol.
I have a question, did you start out with this printer and plotter combo? or did you work your way up to them? In other words is it best for me to invest that much into just getting started because its kinda futureproffing growth, or do you recommend something cheaper and then upgrade?
You can start with just the printer, but it needs to be a print-and-cut machine. This printer also can cut. But it became too slow for my production speed needed.
Great setup, please please please move the heat gun. They actually have flat backs so you can keep them vertical, and when it's turned off UNPLUG it! They will/can/have caught fire because of internals going bad. Even when turned off, thats why its best to unplug after use.
I definitely have it unplugged! I do need to find a better spot for it though... lol
I have a 24" graphtec, I don't know where to get a third pinch roller! Any suggestions ?
I ordered mine on eBay. It def takes some work to install it. You have to take a lot of it apart
Good stuff!! Thanks for sharing!!💪🏾💪🏾
no problem!! thanks for watching
that one cut cost in Germany 15€ + Tax
I Vancouver I pay 5 Canadian dollars, fair price
They charge customers $10 USD
and if you buy foil you must buy 6,12 or 25m
Great video The grommets press what is the name and where can i purchase it?
It’s a Stimpsom 405
What"s maintenance like on this printer?
Once a week clean around the head. It runs an auto cycle every hour.
Don't you normally have to wait for the print to outgas before touching it and laminating it??
Not with the Mimaki heaters and ss21 ink. It’s insanely cured.
Instantly*
Thank you
Thanks. Do u think eco solvents puts out a better quality than latex?
@@kingk5994 I don’t have much experience with latex so I’m not too sure!
Thanks for all these advices.
No problem!
Very nice setup. Thanks for sharing this with us. 🙂
You're welcome!! Thanks for watching
Do you let the stickers out gas?
You don’t need to with the Mimaki Eco Solvent SS21 ink. It’s instantly cured between that and the 3 heaters built into my printer.
I was wondering how much did you have to pay for your printer and for your cutter.
Around $16-20k combined
Cool video. I have a Roland BN2-20a. I’m using Flexi to add my cut line. But sometimes the but line is not all the way through. Any tips?
I’m not familiar with that machine. Try getting a 60 degree blade. And make sure its depth is sticking out the width of a credit card
Thank you
Wow, that's detailed. Great work. Your printer looks nice!
It’s awesome! It prints and cuts. Was great for starting out.
I don't have a sticker maker, I've never made a sticker, and I'm going on 62 but yet I found myself glued to this video. You're instruction method is very thorough and well paced. I've decided to subscribe as well. I'm alway looking for something new and you're never too old to start a new adventure. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and talent.
You can do it! Just gotta start. There machines that are much cheaper than can be good for starting out.
Hi, how do you calculate the ink consumption? thank you!
It’s a built in feature on Flexi design and production manager
Where did you get your website made?
I did it myself!
Is the printer ecosolvent?
Yes!
Why you dont cut on the mimaci
Because it’s slow and counterproductive to take it off and put it back on.
@@stickershuttle would you recommend just getting the regular one that doesn't cut??
@@terryw5500 I would, but I believe the JV, which is the non-cut, lack a few features that are important as well. I would recommend getting a UV printer also.
You recommend the uv over the one u currently have. What's the uv mobile. I'm trying to find one good machine I sold my roland bn20a

@stickershuttle what software do you use for it? I know roland uses versa works what do you use for this and is it hard to figure out how to outline to cut if we use the cut method
