Yes if it was automatic, my uncle had that issue.. mine is 10spd.. it was a ground cable behind my radio creating a bad contact

Sounds like your lifters are going bad and your rods are about to blow through the damn engine the rings are shot. You're beyond low on oil. Time for a tune-up. Valve job timing chain adjustment the whole nine yards
😂 no! Oil is fine. Rollers and lifters are fine also. Rings are fine it doesn’t burn any oil. Chain adjustment? 😂 now I know your joking. The valve cracked in half and with those miles it needs an overhaul.

I am driving down the road and all of the sudden i lose acceleration, gas pedal doesnt rev up the engine, when i pull over trucks turns off immediately. I turn it back on and it works normally for 50-100 miles then does it again. I replaced fuel/water separetor, it still does the same thing. All batteries are put new in june, you have any ideas that i should try myself before bringing it to the shop? No codes on the dashboard.
Check water temp sensor, also check if your getting any pressure in the expansion tank. Mine would do the same and I found out it was pressure going thru my injector cups. Injector tips are worn on mine
Ok, thanks for the quick reply. Additional discovery is that all of that was happening while pulling 44k load, today I was pulling 5k load and didn't have any problems on the same rd, talking about 90 between Buffalo and Boston. Will check it once I get home, I will replace sensor first thing tommorow. Thank you.
@@kimjong-un9255 you know why?…. Because it’s heavy and it heats up faster….. when hauling a lighter load there’s less pressure on the engine vs a heavy load.

@@kimjong-un9255 lol hope so and check your coolant levels… make sure you start the day with it leveled and before you shut it off check if it’s still leveled at the end of the day.
Some volvo trk if the temp sensor goes out, your trk will turn off. Check the temp gauge to see what the temperature reads around 210 to 225 it riding hot. This might be one reason the trk is turning off
Check your batteries, they might be damaged, i would loose power thinking it was the fuel filters, but it was not. The truck would loose power then shut off, I turned off the trk and restarted it right away and it would travel for couple mins then it start doing it again. Checked the batteries, two of them were damaged, replaced the damaged batteries. Im driving the truck and so far no problems, i also had the computer reset to remove all codes
I have the exact same problem, I would be riding and every 50-100 miles I would lose acceleration, when I stop truck goes off immediately, starts right back on and works normally, I replaced and cleaned fuel and water separator and its still doing the same thing, I have all new batteries put up in june, I checked connection on batteries it seems to be fine, I don't know what to do..
My first thought... It would be cracked intercooler Or loosing boost elsewhere

But your on point, Intercooler do make you lose power and lots of times you won’t know until you pressure test it.
Could of said that from start , you talk too much !

hey i have a 2007 volvo 670 10 speed my truck set about 2 years and my truck was running good when i originally park it....and it has about 1/2 tank of fuel in it ..so i got ready to start the truck up after 2 years of sitting and got some new batteries in it and it started right up idling beautiful i go to drive it and its if i dont have no power it takes along time to get to 50mph and i have the gas pedal to the floor ..i changed the two filters and put some additive in it i put howes and lucas injector cleaner and fuel conditioner in i went back out to test drive it .and it seemed to be alittle better i was able to get 60 mph but it still taking along time to get there i drove about 90 miles.but it still doing the same thing it is not smoking it but it is actually running good but i dont have no power...there is no code lights on..do you think i need to put somemore additive in it and drive it more..
Honestly I wouldn’t put anymore. I am no fan of additives. Now have you checked the speed sensor on the transmission? Also have you checked for any boost leaks?

There’s a lot that can cause this. I figured it out as I go….. low coolant, bad electrical connections. Truck goes into limp mode. You have to shut it off and restart it again to take off?
@@Rcaceres it started cutting out on a bumpy road up here in Canada .. works fine for few hour then acts up again .. gotta pump fuel pedal to get life back .. though it was fixed then started up again .. symptoms seem to be same as yours

@@Rcaceres yeah in shop now gonna see what they say .. they did steering alinement but that didn't work so I'll see what they come up with .. I sent this vid to them but no response yet ..

I did not, you know what I notice these Volvos fail when there’s some kind of short in the current. Especially with the negative wires.

Have you checked the speed sensor on the driver side transmission? Close to the shaft
Did you figure out what it was? Mine happened too everything in the dash works but not my speedometer

United brakes and clutch in newark Nj, ask for Adolfo. You can only go bob tail. Look them up and give them a call

It’s called United brakes and clutch, in newark nj. Ask for Adolfo he’s down the block to the left at the dead end

Hey man my truck is a 2012. It was running fine with check engine on. I went on vacation for a week and when I try to start it the lights would come on, but it won’t crank at all. The only message i get it Maintenance required vehicle Ecu. And j1939 Communication error with Engine ECU. Please help me out with this if you have any idea what could it be
That’s deff a corroded cable! Check all negative/power cables to ecu. There’s one on the battery too. Most likely it’s a bad negative wire

I drive a 2021 VNL760 with 59k miles. I can't control the heater after the cab reach 62 degrees. I can only get heat if I turn the temp to 80. The heat come out the vents @ 145 degrees. Volvo can't fix it.
Sounds like a temp sensor issue, where you located? I’m sure my boy can figure it out he’s a block away from where United brakes and clutch in newark is located.

I have the same problem is it safe to drive like this I just got my truck out of the shop and it's still giving the same problem losing power I was coming out of the truck stop and it lost power right as I was coming of the truck stop
It can be many things, it’s shutting off and you haven’t even applied pressure to the system Sounds like a sensor or big boost leak, does the truck shut off?

@@01.......... might be a negative cable running to the ecu, a cousin of mine had that issue also. It’s always something different not always the same problem to fix the same issue

Man, you need to Big Ups that shop! After all those other shops that did not find the issue.....that shop that fixed deserves to be shouted out. I looking to get me a Volvo - 780 as well. Will definitely want a good shop like that one.
