You don't like evangelicals, do you?
@russianchristianity You are not "evangelics" cos you skip parts of evangelion you don't like so to teach lies . You are protestants , you protest against teachings of Christs church , so you are heretics , sons of satan .
You got only one part right: I am not an evangelical. This is a video about them but I'm not one of them

I've seen other sources claiming that Rodnoveri also gets a pass on being 'authentically Russian'. Is that accurate?
Depends on who you ask, could be. Their very name roughly translates as "native faith"
The year 998 has never happened in ruzzia! Ot happened in Kyiv when Volodymyr, not wladimir 😅, baptised citizens of Kyiv, not even a hole Kyiv kingdom !He has never anything to do with so-called russians simply because they didn't exist at that time ! Volodymyr was a ruler in KYIV,not moscov ! Read the history writen by Karamsin. Do at least that before spreading the lies writen by Katherine the second!!!
Tell me you haven't watched the video just read the title without actually saying it. What I said in the beginning of the video: "It would not be correct to say that it was the Christianization of Russia exactly, because there was no Russia back then. What would become Russia 500 years later, was just a conglomerate of independent lands and cities ruled by local princes. Long before Moscow was even founded, the most powerful city-state was Kiev or Kievan Rus' with the same capital as today's Ukraine."
@russianchristianity I can't tell you that I have not watched, otherwise I wouldn't have mentioned the year. But you really put it all a very interesting way! And one thing more: the source of your information! It should be under every video, otherwise you just repeat what many before you have already said!
@@russianchristianity One thing more:if I'm not mistaken you pronounce the name "Volodymyr" as ruzzians do:"Vladimir". Talking about Ukrainian ruler and pronouncing his name in ruzzia manner you give the impression that you mean he was ruzzian. A don't think I'll be mistaken if I'll say that every ruzzian hearing the name pronunced as you do would think so. That goes for "kiev ", which should be "Kyiv" an other names.
No, he was not Volodymyr and he was not a Ukrainian ruler. You can look up how his name was spelled in the earliest chronicles. Most often it was something like "Володимѣръ". I follow the conventional spelling of his name both in Russian and in English. Ukrainians and Russians nowadays are both descendants of various Eastern Slavic tribes loosely united under the name Rus'. Saying Vladimir was Ukrainian is just anachronistic.
@russianchristianity 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That's why you are DEADLY wrong! Both :about the emergency of the languages and the pronunciation of the name! That's why I point you for your lack of CORRECT sources. To get more information about Ukrainian and their language you can try at least to look at the occupiers of the Kyiv kingdom. Take, for instance, Litvanian occupation of Kyiv kingdom and look up the dokuments written in Ukrainian! You can also travel to Kyiv any day, don't be afraid those drones and bombs, and visit Sofia church. In the basement of the church you can find writings on the walls. Ask linguists, who warked with those about how much they are simular to today's Ukrainian language! Well, you can also ask them about simularity to so-called ruzzian.I can almost swere that Ukrainians would be able to understand much of what is written on those walls, but I'm positively sure that so-called ruzzians won't! So, after thorough resurch try to analyse whether ruzzian "language" emerged from the same root as ukrainian! I feel that I have to point for you your lack of sources again by pointing for you your own ingnorens :when you say that ruzzia did not exist when the rush were baptised, how could something that did not exist suddenly have the language that emerged from the same slavonic root?!?!?! 🙄 😁 Ouu, those people, on those territories when moskovia and it's republic are now, existed, but what language the spoke?!?! 🙄 Arabs, travelling at that time to Bulgars, not Bolgars, can cast some light on it. Ibn Fadlan, Ibn Batuti... Well, if you're a Christian, so you have to understand that the truth is one of God's names! Be truthful you too. Do some more research and put more efforts if you want to teach something! And that pronunciation of the name Vladymyr, which I write as it is writen today, was writen in church-slavonic language developed by Macedonian munk for use of the slavonic speaking Christians on the brink of the millennium. Ukrainians will never say "vlAdImIr", simply because it's not how their pronunciation is!!!! 😁 The name means "the one who rules over peace" in Ukrainian "volodar myru"! For so-called ruzzians this word gives no meaning! 😁
Rus the term from where the name Russia comes from was applied to the vikings who were the ones who built the infrastructure from which Russia would come from.
The first rulers of Rus were also Scandinavians
Former Scandinavians, who lived for generations in eastern Rome as guardians. they hired them as muscle. Varangians they were called. noble bloodlines from the north and west all went to Constantinople to study and work
@ Yes, thanks for elaboration
Is Orthodoxy prevalent in Siberia and the more Asian areas of Russia?
It depends on the particular area. If it's predominantly inhabited by Russians, than yes. If indigenous populations, than no
A number of Catholics in Sibera too.
@ True, mostly of German origin
@@russianchristianity Yes, exactly. They were exiled there.
I wonder, why do you think Kirill is not declared as heretic by other patriarchs?
Because his Church is the most powerful, rich, and numerous among all other Orthodox Churches. Probably more than all others combined
John 13 v 35: "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another". Matthew 12 v 33: "Either you make the tree fine and its fruit fine or make the tree rotten and its fruit rotten, for by its fruit the tree is known. 34 Offspring of vipers, how can you speak good things when you are wicked? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 The good man out of his good treasure sends out good things, whereas the wicked man out of his wicked treasure sends out wicked things". Watching this makes me feel physically sick - you are without a shadow of a doubt doing the work of the devil. This organisation has the blood of countless men, women and children on their hands. God will bring to ruin those ruining the earth.
Agree. The only thing you got wrong is attributing what this bishop was saying to the author of this channel. I just wanted to demonstrate what some of the ROC bishops say on public and also provided a translation. I don't share any of his opinions expressed here.

in the long run russia is the state punished most severely due to this irrational and aggressive behaviour
Maybe so. When there's war, everybody loses. Maybe with the exception of some industries benefitting from the sales of weaponry and the like
Not accurate at all actually. My Grandparents and ancestors were from Russia. So I have many Russian friends. And used to live there over summer break. I am also Russian orthodox. But there are now many protestants and Catholics. My biggest thing is if they are so Christian why does Russia have so many no Christian allies.

I've recently started going to an orthodox church. It is very easy going, we can sit and not wear head scarfs or skirts etc but I'm thinking next time it would be better if I did even though we are very new and still kinda awkward and confused by all of this lol I'm a shy person, but I don't wanna be disrespectful even if they technically don't consider it to be so
Sure, thanks for sharing. I believe, you can always ask someone or talk to someone in private, like a church staff or a priest
Repentance means translated Change of mind and what saved ist IT to Trust Christ as saviour
I follow a young Russian man who has a U Tube channel and he visits Russian, American and other sites as tourists places to visit. One time He was in Ekantaninburg sp. and he came across a Russian lady who preached the Gospel to him. She said her brother was an evangelical church there in Russia. She told him we don't need the fancy onion shaped churches there now. I have been praying for her and her family as they serve Jesus
Interesting. Can you share the link please?
As someone who knows МСЦ ЕХБ and СЦ ЕХБ (basically the same thing, their differences are based on very superficial stuff, practical and theoretical life and beliefs are exactly the same), and as a kid of believers, i've never really experienced animosity from converted Christians. If anything, they always tell me "you are blessed for not going through thing we did go through". Their dislike may be targeted to ones who are either passive attenders or apostates, because they see it as a wasted potential. They see that child of a believer has the most potential to actually go level up from the most basic levels of preaching and actually learn to be a decent apologist or a leader. And every time someone disregards that potential, it's like pouring the salt on their wounds. They wish they had that chance, and seeing ones who have said chance not using it is hard for them. So it's not always "i went through real bad stuff, so i'm better/truer believer than you" or "you didn't go through the same stuff i did, so who you are to lecture me".
You're right, of course it's not always the case. This kind of tension is shunned upon and the leadership speaks up against it. As for СЦ, their whole community went through harsh persecutions so there's probably less of that tension there.
Do a video on Jehovah witnesses in Russia i would be interested in your opinion - i think it would get views as well

Evangelicals are a abomination to the Lord as are Latins and Protestants
Can you prove that?
@ Un equivocally YES ; 1 ) the Septuagint dates back to 250/300 BCE and the oldest copy is about 300 CE the Corrupt jew Masoretic text date to 900 CE ie the Leningrad codex , it is common knowledge that the NT was transferred to us in Greek and for the rest please read your Evangelion 😂😂😂😂☦️☦️☦️☦️ protestants are really dumb when reading Scripture as they only seem to read what the want the Scripture to say 😂😂😂😂😂
Why have you removed my other comment communist dog
Well, good manners apparently are not a part of your catechism. I haven't removed your comment, it's still here. RUclips messes out with comments sometimes, try different sorting. As for your comment, I don't see how it has anything to do with evangelicalism. Especially in Russia, where they use exactly the same translation as the Orthodox Church.
@ : well when you steel souls for satin don’t expect me to be nice and evangelicals read the Scripture and only understand what the want out of the Scriptures as soon as they read a chapter or vers that dose not agree with their version they they pass over it now did you read the Scriptures and do they not say what what i said and if they do repent and cry for forgiveness from him who created the Universe Amin ☦️☦️☦️
Sounds very much like our by baptist church. Shalom.
Yep, just like I said, very much recognizable but with a strong post-Soviet impact
Sadly, the Orthodox Church, like many established entities, has become self-satisfied and smug toward those who could become vibrant believers with the proper pastoral care. For the evangelical movement to thrive, alienation from historical Christianity is a pre-requisite.
You're right, but to be fair, there are many Orthodox believers and even priests who feel no animosity towards evangelicals. It's not systemic
It’s not your culture. You don’t belong there get out.
It is. It has been a part of Russian culture for 150 years.
@ heretical protestant ism
Are you the one to judge?
@ no , there is only one judge . But you have betrayed that judge.
@ a very small percentage of it.
Your comment about the arrogant attitude of "hardcore coverts" toward the children of Christian parents (ДВР) is very accurate. I experienced it myself in my life. It is a result of the focus on repentance for your sins as a turning point (event) in one's conversion. Your repentance becomes dependent on how serious your sins are. A former drug addict or a criminal (better if he/she has commited a serious crime) is always more welcome in the Russian evangelical church than a child of Christian parents. Russian baptists differentiate between genuine or superficial repentance. A repentant sinner is always viewed as more genuine. Another interesting fact is that evangelical Christians in Russia reject a concept of the original sin and prefer to talk about a sinful nature or our inclination to sin. As your rightly suggest, Russian evangelicals assign a great power and agency to a man.
Yes, thanks for sharing. I got this from my fieldwork with Russian Baptists. However, to be fair, there have been many voices against this division, even within the leadership
Do not allow this kind in russia
Why? What's wrong with sincere believers who help people in need?
@russianchristianity Protestantism is disruption
What do they disrupt in Russia? Can you give me specifics?
Why don't you evangelise in UK. , America, these are your base. You can't convert your own people. You are coming to steal from the russian church. You sold your flock to the demon. Now you want to destroy more.
@@russianchristianity how many protestant churches are there now 30000?
Tell me, are they as cringe and overbearing as they are in America?
No, I don't think they're the same. Simply because they're the minority in Russia and recently the state has put significant restriction on their evangelism
Ffffuuuuuuu, not in Russia!
150 years of history. Persecuted under the Soviet regime, unprecedented underground activity, etc, etc. They are a part of the Russian history now
Answer is by misled westerners who have no deep history or knowledge of the Christian faith handed down by the apostles but rely upon their understanding and interpolation of the Bible. Causing immense division by the tens of thousands now each one doing what they think is right in their own eyes.
Are you referring to the apostolic succession, and henceforth to the Orthodox Church?
Thank you for this.
Thank you for your support
The same way the Jews have suckered everyone to being Christian for the last 2000 years.
You mean the same Jews who were harshly persecuted by Christians throughout centuries?
Was not Lenin at first friendly to the so-called evangelicals? I heard that he invited them to the Kremlin. His idea was to first destroy the Russian Orthodox Church (with the help of evangelicals?) and then destroy them.
Yes, he even saw them as allies of sort. But by Stalin's era this all ended
@@russianchristianity Yes, Stalin was somewhat different from Lenin. Sadly they were also very similar in that they were lost souls.
Some historians make an argument that Lenin is responsible for much more blood and murder than Stalin but I'm not competent enough to judge.
There is no such word as glocal. Possibly some pseudo-socialogists use it, but it is not an English word.
There absolutely is. It has been introduced in the late 1980s by the sociologist Roland Robertson. Look it up.
@@russianchristianity Just because some pseudo-academic thinks that he can introduce something so corny, does not make it correct English.
Well, it's not a part of the everyday English but widely used in social research. You might not like it but it's still a word, at the very least a professional term.
@@russianchristianity Thanks, but I speak the Queen's English and I cannot think that our late dear Queen Elizabeth would have used that word.
@@stephanottawa7890 If she discussed sociology, she would. Anyways, please, suggest a better term for the phenomenon that has both global and local features.
Very interesting. Repentence is stressed in the Catholic and Orthodox churches, though they don't seem to be as active as Evangelicals in outreach to those on the margins of society. -- By the way, is the Salvation Army allowed/active in Russia?
It does exist but the community is quite small. Here in Finland SA is much more visible.

This subject needs much more coverage in the West ... to better understand Christianity in Russia today. Sadly, corruption is everywhere. Perhaps you can cover what the modern Orthodox Proffets have to say about our current difficult era? Thanks. 🎉
Thank you. Can you specify, who do you mean by modern Orthodox Prophets?
@russianchristianity Every sector of contemporary Christianity has active voices that deploy scripture and dreams/visions to provide warnings or directions for the trials of our day. Call them mystics or prophets, they have an uncanny ability to decipher the spiritual conditions of our era. There must be such mystics in the Russian Orthodox community, ( as there is in the Syrian, Coptic, Ethiopian, South African, Latin, Greek Orthodox Monasteries ) , and in other sister churches like those in the China Underground House Churches?
I believe, a prophet is a very particular concept in Orthodox theology. That's why I'm asking. As for active voices, startsty, etc, that's an interesting subject. I briefly mentioned it in one of my videos (ruclips.net/video/eRE5SGhlk5I/видео.html), yet you're right, more can be said about it.
really great and informative videos
Thank you for your support
The question you pose is applicable to literally every autocephalous Orthodox church in the world today, with respect to the nature of their relationship with each of the state governments they happen to fall under. So why are you posing it for the Russian Orthodox Church, only?
Absolute true. In some of my comments I mentioned BLESSED PATRIARCH PAVLE - who was accused of cooperation with Milisevic. God glorified him
@@alexandermarkus9587 it's true. And they conveniently "forgot" to apologise to him when he also faithfully cooperated with the regime which toppled Milosevic, afterwards!
And it seems that peoples pasts, in an inconceivable situation, are being held against them too strictly possibly.
@markeedeep, because this channel is about Christianity in Russia. But I also posed the same question about Russian Baptists: ruclips.net/video/lXAhEwaxjTQ/видео.html
They not splitted of(by them selves), they were splitted of. And they use for studying the scripture in modern Russian the official synodcale Bible translation, because it is the most accurate text in modern Russian(of course in other countries they read also in other translations). But for services and prayers they use the prereform textes of the Scripture
