weird, they make the most whale banner ever, and they lost revenue? maybe genshin fans finally understand there nothing but a cow being milked of there money... genshin has hardly been making the game more enjoyable for ,,, well everyone, they locked new movement behind a pay wall,,, technically there are sorans, but they feel worse then the charters... and they made mavwika un-useable on accounts that don't have any natlan characters,,, or well they have to pull for her c1 to be even useable without natlan characters. they give us the BARE MINIMUM, for quality of life, and are really stingy for giving us rewards... maybe people are finally sick of there bs? dunno... but I've been giving wuwa money because they have been treating me a lot better. and they put a lot more care into there content, and also allows me to skip s**t i don't care about.

what is that cheap genshin copy of a game you're playing?

It feels weird sometimes to see genshin's revenue still being so high despite so many complaints. Maybe its just because we only see it in EN community, and/or even in the EN those who are still fine is still the most in numbers. Idk how genshin is going in popularity in china, but at least in JP, its still bery popular somehow. Heck in EN a lot of people are dissapointed with mizuki's drip marketing, from being gooner bait to disrespecting japanese kimono, but genshin JP posts about mizuki habe more than 150k lol

No big drama...? There's been huge drama over Natlan's writing and lack of male characters You can also see it in just how well Love and Deepspace is doing. In November their mobile sales surpassed all three Hoyoverse game mobile sales put together. A lot of Genshin players like me went there - I prefer mixed gender gacha with no romance, but I'll play something with only guys and romance as long as it's aimed at women over something with only women but written for men like they have been doing in Genshin for the past year, and judging by the livestream lineup for the next year. I'm still playing HSR but my finger is hovering over the uninstall button if they shaft Phainon and Mydei and add more Firefly-like romance but just for the straight male players. I used to be a dolphin player with C6 Zhongli, C6 Alhaitham and several C2s, and every single Mondstadt and Sumeru character besides, and I even played and loved HI3 first half (it may have waifus but it also has Otto and Kevin as super important and powerful male story characters), but Genshin managed to completely destroy my trust in Hoyoverse. As you said, story and characters matter. Their playerbase used to be 44% women.

The game will continue until the story finishes. Game doesn't feel greedy to me, even if other games are more generous. I mainly just do welkin and sometimes battle pass, but I've never topped up and I have every character I want that has been released and several constellations on some of my favorites. I got mavuika to c3, citlai to c2 and both sig weapons. I simply saved 300+ wishes by skipping characters I didn't want that bad.

I quit the game 3 weeks ago and I’ve been playing since it was first released. Natlan was just really bad and the voice acting being absent really did not help

the spiral abyss these days is mainly geared towards the banner characters, so if you didn't pull for any of them, good luck 36 starring if you ain't ar 60 or something. people are tired of spiral abyss, not because its hard, but because its unnecessarily hard.

I firmly belive in the theory that mihoyo don't give a damn for Genshin, they want the game to be shitty. It's impossible that in 4 years they basically didn't do anything the players asked for, they treat all players just as money trees, nothing more, it's pathetic how greedy they are, and this current patch just show this. Why not give the 20 pulls at the start of the patch that have TWO new 5 stars, it will really drain their resoruces? Just 20 pulls when you need at least 140 to pull the two? This is just greed and it's plain for everyone to see. But then in July they will give a small improvement, Liu Wei will fake cry again and they think it's enough

Old players stopped paying money, and a lot of reasons why this happened. In next 2 patches after Lantern Rite it will be even worse.

Things that would have made Genshin better: 1- Skip button(At least for side quests...) 2- Not waiting 800+ days for a rerun character/weapon (PrimordialJadeCutter, Eula, Shenhe, Ganyu, kokomi) 3- Giving 5* to characters that aren't in the main story, weak or random(Sigewine, klee, chiori, emile, mizuki, qiqi) And 4* that should have been a 5* : ⚪The governor of Liyue "Ningguang" ⚪Fatui with a rough past and trained by arlechinno "Lynette" ⚪A general of the Watatsumi Army "Gorou" ⚪One of the 5 heroes of natlan "Ororon" 4- Improving QoL movement in the over world and revisiting extremely powercreped characters 5- Instead of random NPC, make events with characters/friends that we know. 6- Resin storage and unlock material maps domain dates. 7- If they didn't put our feedback into a shredder.

So are we going to see some of the muted dialogue restored? That would be fantastic but i don't see it happening. 😢

It's because they are not respected by the hoyo. Their policy towards VAs tells you the why they are missing

If the special program has devs in it, that has nothing to do with state of voice acting, everyone gets the same special program in chinese with subtitles. Yes it's on updates they consider important, and both new version and lantern rite fall in that category. Lack of voice acting in the trailer was sad, though. I hope it was because they wanted to meet the deadline in more important things, such as voice acting in new archon quest. I remember that when they decided to replace Tighnari's voice, they were able to do that quite fast. But that was just one voice actor, too.

Why just switch to Japanese or Chinese voice over, for example, since this is NOT on hoyo control and won't change any time soon Moreover, their Chinese VA are in house so don't need to deal with 3rd party deals Lastly, a gacha game doesn't need English voice over to get income

4:50 no it doesn't have to do with the studio being chinese It's just different approach and contractualisation. France, Japan, China do a lot of dubbing and are generally very well prepared and organised for it. US is sadly ... an amateur in voice acting relatively, the VA are not as respected as they are in aformentionned countries, the job is much less valued and paid and most importanly : it is poorly regulated. It's really just that US studios have decades less experience in dubbing than other countries...

Just a few things I feel should be said. The scheduling issues for Zenless and star rail are not huge issues. If I remember correctly correctly The VA’s were busy with other events. They have other things they have to dedicate time to. They can’t just sit still until their needed for one specific game. So these These things are bound to happen. It doesn’t mean it’s going to be the standard. Also it’s not just the English voice actors who experience this stuff. I believe Yanagi’s Japanese VA also got changed. Though if someone wants to confirm or deny. I’d appreciate it haha.

It's also stunning to me that they are not giving any apologems because of this. No matter the reason for the strike, it is an objective fact that the EN-community has an impaired experience in the game right now. If this was CN, they would've probably gotten 100 free wishes by now.

And I’m saying 30 minutes or maybe an hour because you’ll have multiple takes to find the right one. But it’s pretty weird reason no? I’ve never heard voice acting work being missed because of scheduling before. It feels very unprofessional.

i don't see the point in playing in any dub if i don't understand the language. it's the same if the dub is simply... well, NOT dubbed... quite the disapointement. i get the va want to protect their jobs, but the way hey did it affected much more the conssumers then the employers, which is simply stupid. it's as if they were telling us "give us your support or we'll make you wait much longuer... only reaction on my part it give me is to actualy wish they get substitute for ai... at least, ai won't be doing ultimatums alike freakin kids... there's much smarter ways they could have done their things that would only have affected their employers... using their office and cars as garbage disposal units... placing reccording device everywhere which would have repeated the same words nonstop... going in their office whenever they need to fart... all this sound childish, sure., but what they did also was, by affecting the players so much. at least, this wouldn't affect the community, and would only affect their employers... as such, as childish as this is, it would have been smarter then what they did. besides, going outside a building with sign and while scream their lines is far from the only way a group can do a strike.

Zzz I can understand just cuz it was everyone in the game which is like 15 playable that got voiced but genshin and star rails didn't uses the same amount of playable characters voices in more important roles like Robin, Dan Hung, and Himiko for HSR and Genshin with Inasan, Kinich, Kachina, and the Sumeru cast.

I think typically they do stuff 6 months in advance not cause it takes that long but that’s how progressed they are in development. They had some characters made for years before they came out. They should have them recording asap. I can’t stand the dead silence and I don’t want to listen to something I don’t understand just to not have silence

Doesn't help when the EN VA themselves are problematic as well. Half of them in the industry are just virtue signals crying out racism while being racist themselves with victim mentality. And then repeat the cycle with the western hoyo fanbase. This never happens to us in the eastern side.

I’m kinda glad that I finally got genshin on Xbox. Even though certain path have no voices. I’d I take my time, when I arrive at the pre mentioned content the voices have a good chance of being there.
