One of the best ice hockey games I ever had was simply called Ice Hockey for the Intellivision. That thing had analog controllers and it worked so well for that game.

I think the stick throwing skill might pair well with Johnny 3 sticks. He should be able to throw one, and have another one in reserve.

Just picked up Football Manager 2024 and it appears to have a lot of customization options. You can create a new team with new logos and uniforms, a new manager character, it has a ton of depth to it, and plays in a 3d model watch mode for a full game it seems. The game runs fast and pretty smooth in the gameplay, though the menus can be laggy. You can create a team with CPU generated players rather than current real world players, but I am not sure if you can edit their names or any other thing about them.

That’s the risk of having a single amazing player I reckon. If he is not playing well for whatever reason the team doesn’t perform either. Perhaps Heath was demoralised for playing in such team😅

Loving it. Look at it this way, at this stage, you got nowhere to go but up. You cleared out a massive albatross of a contract in Heath which freed up some finances. You have essentially a clean slate to make changes to your philosophy and roster. It looks like you have some promising young under 18 talent. I agree with you that I would like to see more action on the field so you can get a better read on what the issue is with your players. Are they too slow? What part of your defense is getting picked apart? Are your scorers not getting the ball, or are they getting it and losing it? I would also like to know what the deal is with your players not recovering fatigue all that well. Is that a facilities upgrade you can make, or get a better trainer or something? As for another option of game, I am afraid the only other one I know of and have personal experience with is PES which is now eFootball or something like that. I haven't played it since it converted. That one isn't really a "sim" game like a football manager game would be.
