Did you change the gasket on the cam cover or was it ok to use again.

My front driver side has gone I've rang the garage and no one wants to fix it because of some bolt there worrying about snapping and something about drop links i sont have a clue you look like a pro what's your thoughts on that brilliant video mate mine is the automatic version

What made you just change the boot and not the ball joint or whole driveshaft? If the boot was holed, wouldn't that have potentially damaged the ball joint?

Hi,I have a 2011 altea xl 1.6 tdi,from new,it’s been solid apart from a few repairs over the years and maintenance. But today it started to smoke a greyish smoke,no oil in the water tank or gunk in the oil ,idles fine,seems to have power,what could it be?

And did you use any sealant on the gasket between the flange and engine block, or new gaskets where the metal recirculation pipe meets the inlets?

Can you please help, Got a 2009 Altea tdi 2L 140 bkd and the throttle body valve was stuck due to cog had snapped inside so I replaced it for a new one and when I shut the car down sometimes it’s juddering still and sometimes it’s fine!, Using OBD2 scanner got a p2108 code: Throttle actuator control (TAC) module - performance problem Any idea what this could be? I’m pretty sure I can still hear the valve opening and closing though just sometimes it shudders on shut down and sometimes It doesn’t.

Hi! That's not really how this was designed to be done. This is a door trim module, which means that the door trim comes with all the mechanisms attached to it. You don't need to do that much. You need to loosen the screws to the body in white and the glass from the window lifting mechanism and then you need to pull up for the hooks on the perimeter to be free. Afterwards it takes a bit of coming up and down and out to allow the window lifter mechanism to come oir of the hole of the body in white. Once you have it all out in one piece, you can repair any of the mechanisms. Btw. The strange attachment is a buffer for crash. The cones collapse in a way that your spine isn't broken during a side crash. I hope that helps.
