Nelson Piquet overtakes Riccardo Patrese - 1982 Brazilian Grand Prix
Hunt was champion only because Lauda crashed at Nurburgring, otherwise he had no chance. A good pilote but not a great one. Only a great mouth, often disrespectfull against other pilots...
My guy was an absolute unit
Putting Hamilton in front of Schumacher is a bit of a joke to say the least...
RIP Patrick 😢❤
Legend
Perfect clean move from Dépailler who has the inside line, doesn’t push Hunt out or anything . The mercurial Hunt understeers in the barrier and publicly makes an arse of himself
This is bad the fórmula 1 is Real
It's a correct overtaking and Hunt is an idiot
This is so heartbreaking. Imagine how the mechanic was feeling in those last moments. Hope he’s resting easy 🕊️ Someone informed me that it was a different mechanic that died this weekend. Still extremely sad though, heartbreaking weekend.
he survived! had both his legs broken and cuts to his head but he actually recovered
@@applejuice4263 no he didn’t. Did plenty of research after.
@@applejuice4263 he died from his injuries
@@applejuice4263 unless we’re talking about 2 different situations??
@@zLusso the guy who died in practice was Giovanni amadeo. This is the Race start where siegfried stohr hit Dave Luckett, same weekend though
All the blame on the mechanic for this one. You know the race is about to begin and yet you get on track right before it starts?
HOW IS HE ALIVE!!??
Shoutout to the guy at 0:45 who pulls Siegfried aside. When a person is that distraught, they might wander into danger
Se puso muy mal el hombre por haber arruinado el auto😮
Wow
Was the mechanic ok??
he survived
He died
Ypud think officials on the side right there would have seen him waving his arms that dang whole time! 😡😢
Stupid driver
This is just another proof that humanity is hella dumb. If we ever get anything right is just because others before us have completely eff things up. Multiple times I might add.
Wtf
Thanks GOD the F1 it´s not the same!
If James Hunt was commentating he would of found a way to blame Patrasie for that too
O mecÂnico foi um débil mental
everybody saw that Riccardo Patrese had problems and could not start the race... I mean, ALMOST everybody to the poor mechanic fortune.
Very uncoordinated sport at that time
I didn't see it what happened
When he started braking it was too late, is the man ok?
the only time i've seen this much emotion on a race track was when david purley was desperately trying to save his friend from a firey wreck
The Roger Williamson crash. But you have not seen the aftermaths of Price, Cevert and Rindt's crashes then.
SENNA IN HUNT LEGEND FOREVER. TODAY 2023!
Still alive?
Objectives New F1: Finish behind Verstappen *optional* Old F1: Survive *optional*
I love how he physically fought off marshals and waited a whole lap just so he could shake his fist 😂 classic indignant English gent
Absolute legend 😂
Making an arse of himself really… depailler was super clean and had the inside line. Hunt understeered badly into the barrier probably locking his front wheel . Nothing gentlemanly there
What was going on with the number of cars being pushed into position? I thought formation laps were mandatory from the 1970s, so how come so many drivers were out of position or unable to park in their grid slots?
It's not dramatic it's sad
the sadness of the racer that hit would be scarred for life 😢
It affacted his performance and confidence, leading him to quit after the Season
U couldnt make a racing movie more surreal, this is fuckin CRAZY
Não é possível um nível de amadorismo desse tamanho. Que absurdo 😢
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
There is no way they would show either the man on the ground or a replay of that crash if this happened today
Esse cara foi muito idiota kk louco
he's dying
The mechanic? He actually survived the crash, and only died in 2021, 40 years after this incident!
Hunt acting like a prick
might bnot be a yellow flag by todays standarts
He dead?
He's dead now, but he actually survived the accident.
"The golden age"
hope the mechanic is ok
i was there and standing on the bank opposite Patrese. It was an awful weekend with tragedy and protests by the drivers. The race should never have been held. Was the worst weekend of my life
the 'golden age' of F1
who the f""k was in charger of the race !!
It's crazy how people had such little common sense back in those days...
I think it's the fault of the mechanic for running on without checking... BUT!!! The person who started the race is a complete idiot.
