Hi, nice comparison video!! But one thing regarding the pricing would be that you need to compare the top trims of both vehicles as that is where we get all the features mentioned and not in the lower trims.. Now the alcazar signature would be around 26.5 on road Bangalore whereas the Safari Adventure plus and Accomplished plus are 32 and 33 approx onroad Bangalore, so the Alcazar is more VFM in my opinion, as it is 6 to 7 lacs cheaper plus there is an ADAS feature that needs to be still be added through an update in the Safari, so i still consider it an incomplete product

Both will do well bro, these are the base variants. I think purely talking about engines and pricing, the Nexon makes more sense. Also, since it is less stressed than the TGDI, it should ideally be more reliable and long lasting.

@@hiran2016 Well, the Basalt is based on The C3 platform which has scored 0 stars in the GNCAP and it's a fair point that the Tata Curvv isn't tested yet. And I don't think Tata would bother making a 0 Star car. Boot space, yes, you're right. Even personally, it won't make a difference to me, but it is still a technical comparison. And despite the Basalt being the weaker proposition on paper, Its the car I'm choosing to put my imaginary money on 😛 That's what I've said in my outro

An owner's comment from Europe. Have had the ePower e4orce version for an year now. The overall refinement of the engine is beyond words. Accepted it's the lowest spec of the X-Trail brought to India (thank the government taxation for it) but the engine will more than make up for the lack of ADAS and some of the other features, which while nice to have, are OK to miss.
No doubt, the engine is what this car is all about!
What about the safety features? MG is always mischievous with those
Yes all there cars are comparable in terms of safety. 5 Star rated. The NG Gloster also gets ADAS. But the deal with NCAP rating is the cars are only tested at 64 Kmph. So even in this day and age, Volvo's are probably the the only safe cars out there.

Good explanation on the VCT tech. But this again will remain an enthusiast's car. Buyers in this segment will continue to gravitate towards Kodiak and other options. All of their cars till date has been a toned down version of their competitors and they are struggling to get a foot hold in India. Better marketing and more aggressive looking cars may do the job? Its yet to be seen.

No I won't buy, wait for a year see if Nissan is still present in Indian. Nissan had no commitment to India, xtrail is CBD and of previous generations which can't be sold is other developed market due to restrictions. That's why they send the remaining unsold unit to India, they know Indians won't buy in large once units are over they will discontinue it

@@ranamandal5064 Thank you for the kind words sir 🙏 Here are my thoughts on your question, from my limited understanding. When cylinders are deactivated, only the valves of the cylinders are closed. The piston still moves up and down and the pistons still add weight to the crank shaft. So even, say when 2 cylinders are active out of 4, the weight and momentum of the inactive cylinders are still a part of the equation. With the xtrail, I don't think that variable compression ratio would work well by itself. But it does because it is paired with A turbo, a mild hybrid system and a CVT.

Hands down Fronx is the better option. Exter road presence isn't great. I just wish Maruti redesigns the rear bumper on the Fronx to match the body color. Kudos to Maruti pulling off such a great car in this segment.
