Hey friends!
It's been 6 months since my last update and I am so excited to share that my hair loss has in fact subsided! I feel like I'm almost back to a "normal" amount of shedding. I no longer find hairs on my pillows or randomly around the house. I am so happy that things seem to be going in the right direction. Now to work on the next phase of this journey: growing the hairs back!
Thank you all for sticking through it with me as I document this hair progress.
I also wanted to let you guys in to a little about my career and the next steps for me as a future do...

Thank you. Your video was very helpful. I can totally relate. After much research, I realised my continuous hair loss/shedding, was as a result of using protein based products and, the strands that remained were straw-like and lifeless. Over the last two weeks I have been deep conditioning with moisture based products and in time, I will cautiously reintroduce protein for balance.

Rosemary didn’t work that well for me. Fenugreek oil and Pumpkin seed oil with Thyme drops made my hair grow like a weed! Unfortunately it kept falling out from Covid shed. I had to cut my waist length hair to my shoulder blades due to detangling pulling out more hair. Now it’s to the middle of my back. I take Fo-ti,Pumpkin seed oil and Fenugreek supplements. It’s hard to except that nothing will stop the shed but time. The Bosley shampoo is very nice. It leaves your hair very soft and not stripped. I had to stop conditioner’s except for leave in. It just seems like the hair falls more after conditioning. I’ve tried some of the scalp serums and they are nice. The best thing that has cut down on my stress is watching videos like this. Thanks for posting your journey!😊

Congratulations on your journey as a OBGYN 🙌🏾. When it comes to pots and pans I’d say look into cast-iron there’s some you can get from around 40-60 which is expensive but can’t complain because most are 100+. Bathing in bentonite clay is good for drawing out toxins etc. Taking Ashwaganda helps a lot with stress even when you feel you’re not stressed out you end up feeling more relaxed than usual.

I recently learned my hair does not like protein. I was actually using a diy oatmeal gel on my hair, leaving it in, and then using conditioner s with protein, then used the blueberry bliss leave in conditioner which is protein. My waves fell straight, hair was full and dry. I used the suave clarifying shampoo and a lot of protein left, my waves came back but my hair was still dry so I am now using Gardiner hydraulonic acid shampoo and the hydraulonic acid conditioner by suave...it's so moisturized, makes my waves limp but I'll do this for awhile to heal my hair from protein overload

idk if you have a marshalls store near you, but i see many marshalls have Green Pan at their stores and its ceramic based pots that are healthier. so thats something you can check out. also dont use metal on your pots bc it will scratch the surface and leech chemicals into the food, so your logic is sound there. ive been dealing with TE for 3 years now. I just finally got some rosemary oil and this shampoo and conditioner called Routine so I'm hopeful that they will help. I also am using a derma roller to help with the stimulation of growth. thanks for sharing your journey with us. your hair looks great. congrats of your doctor journey.

I’m trying to stay away from anything like that. Last thing I want is to take something which does help but now I have to continue taking for life or I’m going to be right back where I started. It really makes me mad all these products like this and they don’t tell you upfront. I was on Amazon reading reviews on Nutrifol and people asked if you stop taking it will your hair fall back out and there was SO Many people that said YES! Don’t take it. Don’t even start.

I appreciate you’re being vulnerable with us. Like you, I’ve gotten an illness but i didn’t think of working on it until it became chronic. One thing i wish someone told me is that my body was communicating with me and I wasn’t listening, i took painkillers and antibiotics which only concealed but didnt fix. Physical illness stems from mental or the guts, when the brain tries to communicate needing that attention, and we dont listen… it switches to physical illness. You’re committed to finding the cure, and I admire that very much!! Have you looked into whether your illness can be cured with a certain diet or anything natural (gut wise)? And how has your mental health been before the hair situation? No criticism in anything you’ve been doing, I’m just adding to it and I sincerely wish you the best❤

thank you for this. I was definitely always on high output work mode before and even after the hair loss. High stress just comes with medical school. Diet and exercise have been a focus for me. Eating anti inflammatory foods, and exercising to reduce stress. I just posted an updated video with everything I'm doing. I appreciate your kind words.

Hi your hair is beautiful so full and so shiny & healthy . I am dealing with TE now 17mths but less shedding thank god.. I'm now only using minoxidil 14wks & it is helping. I agree with you its not nice to use leaves your hair abit tacky but on the positive side it dose make your hair appear fuller..my dermatologist said women have far better results on minoxidil than men ^ eventually I can go to a maintenance level which probably be twice a wk so I good with that ..I'm very lucky my hair was naturally thick & long ..wishing you the best on your upcoming new career much love ❤ from Ireland 🇮🇪

Hey did you loose all over scalp? Like top also? I'm loosing all over. My hairloss reason was a chemical straightening😞 I'm dealing with it 6 months now. The shedding doesn't stop. 300-400 strands on wash day

@@kritikohli5466 yes I lost density all over no bald spots just thin all over ...its now looking so much better & healthy..thickness is coming back , I have no idea what actually caused mine as I had 3 major stressors happen at the one time , but I do belive all 3 contributed 100% Tip for you don't wash your hair with shampoo just was your scalp only ofcourse your hair will get shampoo through it that's fine but don't give your hair a wash...wash scalp twice my massage...leave conditioner in atleast 3/5 in a shower cap ..and most important use a leave in conditioner after you get out of the shower. This has really improved my hair you will find you need to wash less because your Scalp is cleaner and hence lasts longer between washes which is better for your hair while its fragile ...

@@cearilindubhlaoi9507 as you said you used minoxidil. So, any side effects? And do we have to use it lifetime once we start it? And chronic talogen effluvium, no sign of fphl?

@@kritikohli5466 yes I used minoxidil once a day now in the evening time , you can go on a maintenance dose twice a week when you feel happy with your hair , I had no side effects at all just tue initially shedding in the beginning but it did take 3 months to see & feel a difference in my hair as my hair texture had changed also.. I can style it now which I could not do before... minoxidil is a commitment but tbh I will continue with it to me its like I brush my teeth do my skincare massage minoxidil into my scalp at the top of my parting off to bed its now my routine , I will try the liquid nxt time it might be less tacky as I've alot of hair its hard to get into scalp so it leave my hair abit tacky , but you have yo wait 30mins to brush your hair so it's gets time to stimulate your scalp ..
