I think it’s a wonderful thing to do ❤️
Can’t believe how much the sports centre has changed. Has that little fair gone? Xx
The fun fair is still there but fully overgrown and deserted, looks like something from a low budget horror movie now, really sad, i did film it so i'll bring my camera later so you can see Ness. x
Another beautiful and deep video, Jason. Cannot wait to meet you in person, preferrable with a nice English cream tea😊 Good night to you from Germany
That's the spirit Jason, positivity all the way. Take good care mate.
Thank you mate, hope all is ok and thanks for watching as always.
Another masterpiece Jason, excellent work! :)
Thanks Tony.
Excellent work Jason, postive and hopeful, the best way forward.
Absolutely..Cheers mate.
The courage you display is an inspiration to us all. Additionally, your companionship is enjoyable. It is delightful to spend time with you and your musings about things that matter. Do you recall Paul Simon's "The Dangling Conversation"? If I was visiting in person today, I'd ask you to play it for us, just to see if it still has the magic...
Hi Dave, hope all is well. I do recall that song and have to say I am grateful to have discovered so much of their music in these late stages of my life. I can distinctly remember when I was in school (between the ages of 5 and 11), Simon & Garfunkel were played to us everyday in our morning assembly. At that age I was typically rebellious and would never entertain listening to anything my teachers would listen to..I was far too cool for that! or so I thought. Thankfully, I am less closed minded these days and now realise that this music that was being played was lyrically very clever and completley captivating. Ageing does have its benefits doesn't it? Thank you for watching and above all, your precious time.
@6:00 wow❤thank you for this parting gift to reflect/journal with🎉
It's lovely isn't it Reena. Thank you for watching. 🙏
Thank you for your expression
Wishing you a deep rich autumn of moments❤
Grateful this year compared to last i was in hospital with my dad too.
Your health took a toll from the long greif of sayong the long goodbye to your parent😮 I can't imagine at same time i relate.finding so much wisdom here from insights you have gathered from your unique life.lovely that a friend pops in❤
The reflecting🎉the tinge of sadness ,i can relate when i think of loss years later of people i once knew
It's a mixture of feelings I suppose. Grateful that we had them in our lives but obviously the sadness that follows their passing. We just have to forever hold onto those cherished memoried eh!
Jason you are so right on with time comes acceptance. You are the man.
Thank you mate, so appreciated.
You‘ve been through so much and you are so strong… such an inspiration 🌈 thank so much for sharing yourself with the world Jason ❤️ the poem in the end is also so beautiful 🌱
Thank you Nastja, likewise and I hope you realise that your own videos and creative exploits have made my own little world a more beautiful place to live in. The more I learn of your journey the more inspired I become. 🙏♥

Music always reminds me of certain memories. I refer to them as “anchor” songs. I have a whole playlist of them. Thanks for sharing ❤
Exactly the same things cross my mind. I don’t have the time or desire to create content regularly so I don’t worry about it anymore. I think what you talk about is different to the usual and even if you don’t have thousands of followers, the ones you do have will remain loyal and not expect regular content.
Thanks Martin. It does seem an impossible task at times. Happy anniversary for Yesterday by the way.

You absolutely went about it the right way Jason. I get what you mean by feeling a huge weight was lifted from your shoulders. Although it has an impact on your girls, you gave them the chance to make the most of their time with you. You are an inspiration mate ❤

Amazing. You are incredibly talented. I love the song with this video. I think you should do Adele and Taylor Swift they are so popular at the moment. You could be outside whilst they are on tour selling them. xx

@@DavidWiseman-f7e Yep and don't forget Richard Strauss.Although I kind of prefer his son Levi! 😆
I can relate Jason. For me the biggest factor is time, though. I have so little of it, but still feel the need to create for the sake of creating. Because there’s something about this routine that really nourishes me. But it’s a fine line… I think sometimes it’s necessary to take a step back in order to take a bigger leap forward. Our health is the most importantly thing. And if we feel that content creation is coming in the way, we should either work on our perfectionism and go with the flow (like you did in this video / not force a topic, but talk about what’s currently on our minds) or take a break. The algorithm won’t punish anyone for that (at least from my own experience) :) ❤ thank you again for being so honest and open. I think many can relate to you 🙏
Hi Nastja, I totally get what your saying and actually what you said to me on Monday about your time constraints really made me re-evaluate why I am on this RUclips journey and why I sometimes feel pressured to create whether I'm feeling creative or not. It made me realise that I am really the only one that is putting that pressure on myself. Going with the flow is the way forward! VM😉 🫂🙏
@@jasonbroadcastsinabuckethat yesss ✨☀️✨
The Muse to create doesn't happen for me on anybody's schedule, but when it arrives, I am at its mercy. There are times when I would rather not be swept along by burning creative urges and yet I have little power to resist. What comes out is not always what I want to share, but like a wave that hurls a surfer toward the shore, I am picked up and carried by an irresistible force. I am fascinated by why other creators produce content and by how they "burn out". I'm certainly no expert. My gut feeling, though, is that algorithms will change, and audiences will change but loyal friends will want to stay in touch. Subscriber count and views may be a distraction. Comparing television to what entertains me today, I am reminded that there was no way to 'like and subscribe' to shows that I loved to watch. I had no relationship with Seinfeld or Monk. The biggest difference was that there was no way that I could put myself on my TV. So I love being able to share some of what I create. And I love to visit with you and so many interesting and wonderful people around this globe. And I love the fact that I can post what the creative monsters inside me compel me to bring to life if I want to. The creative process is what I care about far more than what the algorithm thinks of it. So if I spend all week (or all month) on a project, I may or may not share it with RUclips. I also play music for no one but myself. Wow, I apologize for my rant. I guess you triggered some emotions in me. Isn't that partly what creativity is about? Please continue to share what you bring into existence and don't worry too much about what artificial intelligence thinks of it. Your friend, Dave.
Dave, I absolutely love this comment. I think you have really nailed it and please don't feel the need to apologise for 'your rant'. I do completely agree that subscribers may come and go but those that truely engage will still stay in touch. I guess I just could feel myself starting to get caught up in the whole subscriber/like thingy. Validation I suppose and I realised that that's not the reason why I started my channel in the first place. I started it for me & my family and if others join me on the journey then I am grateful for that. Thank you as always for your wonderful humble view point Dave. 🙏
@@humbleviewpoint oh wow...'when the creative monster arrives, I am at its mercy' exactly what happens to me. When I feel like editing a video. I will do it for hours without realizing that I am hungry and thirsty and how time is passing by... and when I am at a beautiful places, my hand automatically rises upwards with the phone camera on running... Wonderful to be in touch with y'all. 😀
@@jasonbroadcastsinabuckethat I am so glad you understood my motive and meaning. Wishing you the best as we figure out this strange and wonderful platform. 😄
@@jenniferk6632 Thank you, Jenny
Hey Jason, again you are talking about a topic I feel similar about. Having 2 chronic lung diseases, an infection with Covid could end fatal for me, quickly. So I have been pondering the topic of life and death a lot these past months. And I feel thankful to RUclips that if the worst case should happen, I would have left these Videos in the world for me children and possible grandchildren to watch. Of course, the thought of me watching them together with my grandchildren in 20 years or so would be much nicer😂. I have been creating 1 to 2 Videos a week for the past 5 months. I know about the algorithm thing that you should post 1 video a week. When I am travelling, there is always content. But honestly: it is a different experience walking a City just focussing on the experience than having the camera ready at all times and for the future, I would like to slow down, stay at a place l like longer and only take footage the second day. I experienced, that the content is what influnces the algorythm the words you put in the title really. When I was a solo womantraveller in Great Britain doing vanlife, the videos were shown like crazy. Without vanlife, it was less. Travelling as a solo female vanlifer in France is less shown than in England and not travelling alone or not doing vanlife is hardly distributed at all. This recognition for me is positive for it helps me to slow down and do it all in the speed that feels good to me. I was not well healthwise for a while so for the first time since I have started, it was more than a week inbetween 2 videos. Thank you again for this amazing video and sharing your thoughts on it. Much love from Germany Jenny
Hi Jenny, Yes I think it's a nice legacy to leave our loved ones. I would love to just hear my Mum's voice again. On the subject of your health, it must be tough and I can see why the coast is such an attraction to you. I can recall your videos showing up on my homepage much more when you were travelling around the UK. Are most of your subscribers from UK? Female Solo Vanlifer does seem to be a very popular niche. My Motorhome will be on the road shortly and it will be interesting to see if that results in an uplift in subscribers/views. Slowing down is good though so maybe it was meant to be, to allow you some healing time and build your strength. Keep doing what your doing Jenny. The vidoes are fab. x
@@jasonbroadcastsinabuckethat Thank you Jason, this means a lot to me. Yes, many subscribers are from the UK. I remember sitting in a Café in Swanage feeling pretty overwhelmed with all the views and messages my UK vanlife video got, it was such a surprise to me. How exciting that you will be travelling soon, your videos are a piece of art and I am really excited to follow along with your travel videos... take care and have a wonderful evening ( and by the way, I think you dealing with Leukemia is so tough and brave ❤️)
Hi Jason. I have just come across your broadcasts. I am sorry to hear your news. You are giving so much inspiration to so many people. Best wishes Paul (I used to walk to Somers Close in the early eighties, talk about all things Mod and listen to the Jam.
Hi Paul. How are you? Must be over 40 years since I've seen you. How weird is the RUclips algorithym eh!. I remember us walking to school every day. Such innocent times. Where are you these days? Are you still in Winchester. I hope your keeping well.
@@jasonbroadcastsinabuckethat Great to hear from you Jason. I’ve just PM’d you via messenger.
Excellent work Jason, it is good to hear how your favourite albums shaped your musical journey. My top ten would be... 1 . The Move - Message from the country 2. Wizzard - Eddy & The Falcons 3. ELO - On the third day 4. Kate Bush - Lionheart 5. Dave Edmunds - Get it 6. Nick Lowe - Labour of lust 7. The Divine Comedy - Absent friends 8. John Otway & Wild Willy Barrett (1st album) 9. Squeeze - East side story 10. Status Quo - Piledriver This list may be subject to change, as I remember others I have forgotten at this time. :) Keep up the good work!
Wow Tony you have some absolute belters in there. Loving seeing Nick Lowe & Dave Edmunds in there. Funnily enough I'd somehow missed John Otway and a work colleague in my NHS job kept nagging me to check him out. Couldn't believe what I'd missed all these years. 😆
@@jasonbroadcastsinabuckethat Thanks Jason, and I must search out some of your Top 10, as they are not all familar to me.I think I have a copy of one of The Chords 45s somewhere. Otway is quite unique I would say. I saw him a couple of times at The Joiners, once with Wild Wliiy Barrett. There was once a card there with the words "John Otway went through here (+ the date), and it pointed to a hole in the ceiling! A great entertainer, and he is still at it as far as I know.
@@litchfield1 Lol that story about the joiners is great. That place has some stories to tell on its own eh!
Wonderful video! Music is a gift from somewhere beyond our comprehension. Your love for all things music is equal to my own. I discovered the Jam while listening to an iconic Southern California independent FM station late at night. I will never forget the emotion(s) that discovering a quite obscure record for a California boy produced in me. I absolutely love their first album. I need to make time to listen again. Your enthusiasm for your choices makes me want to give them all a deep listen. Thank you. Additionally, I appreciate your reminder to people who watch RUclips to go ahead and comment. You explained it well.
Thank you and I absolutely love the fact that you heard The Jam on the radio in California! Paul Weller would love that I think. It a shame they never broke through more in the States. I think maybe lyrically they were a little 'too British', if that makes sense. Have you listened to Paul's Solo album 'On Sunset'? His solo work is gaining recognition over the pond. Hope your well and always value your input. 🙏
