Good video
Awesome video. Well done. Paul Harvey was a legend
Love it 😊
Be safe u all
I did this from 1995 to 2018; I was an Engine Captain with Humboldt Bay Fire in California. I went out with a blown out knee, a broken back, and c-PTSD at age 45. Even as I watch this video, I wish I could still do the job. If you’re watching this from the station tonight, whether you’re on an engine, a ladder truck, rescue, or a box, keep each other safe tonight, my brothers and sisters. IAFF Locals 652 and 1770
LOVE YA MY BOTHER... '86 I started as an explorer and went on the rig in 1990... Went out this year (just a couple of weeks ago actually). Was injured by two falling 20,000v power lines in 2020 due to an operator's grossly tremendous lack of knowledge... By the grace of God, I lived and was finally released from medical in Oct '22. Because of the politics and the ensuing lawsuit to actually receive the care I was in need of, I cannot get hired anywhere, so I just chalked it up to am thankful for it being a BIG part of God's plan. I lost my blood brother 10 years ago LODD and have lost far too many over the last 37 years. I love the profession and miss the job more than one could know... But I know that this is how it is supposed to be and I am comforted by the fact that I am alive, able to see my family, have learned such a great deal as a result of it all, and love my God... God bless you pal.
Thank you for your service sir. God bless from Indiana
@@William_HeathI’m 32 and looking to get started in the profession. I started this when I was 17 but life got in the way. Hopefully all of us our blessed
I was with scfd.3 for 15 years
Yes!
Unfortunately my father lt Ed Gallagher is on this video, he was 96 when he left this world to with with his wife for 72 years. And his fellow brothers from ifd. Lt Edward Gallagher of the old 29's truck, is finally out of service.
Are these firefighters from IFD only? My great grandfather died on duty in Lafayette '52 Wonderbread Bakery fire. I'm currently with BWTFD MI.
My father Lt Edward Gallagher passed away this morning his first day on the job was Nov 24 1947. Retired on Jan 1st 1976,from the old 29's truck. I still her him telling stories about the jobs he was on,and his fellow brothers who were with him. Now dad is in the firehouse in heaven with his brothers who have gone before him.
I remember working with almost all of you. God bless you all. We’ll meet again. Larry’s right, wouldn’t change a thing.
Only Paul Harvey could say it so well! 🚒💪🚒💪
Great video! Very impactful
CONGRATULATIONS, Tom!! Enjoy your retirement. Thanks for making the job better for my family and friends.
Thanks for your service Tom!
Thanks Tom for all you’ve done to help out Angola L3962 and all the Firefighters in the State of Indiana.

Be safe bros and sisters
Stay safe bros and sisters
Yes it is worth it
Would It Be Okay If I used the music and background sound from the beginning of the video for my Fire video?
Joel. 30 year firefighter from the UK, long retired! Really don't like most of these "tributes". Never worked with anyone who thought they were a hero!! Just doing our job. (Like our brothers and sisters in the front line of medical care in these troubled times). Loved your post, took me right back to mopping down the engine house floor.🚒
Respect from down south! Texas Fire fighters
Thank you!

I know this is a long shot. But you had a song to this video. What was it?
Evan, I think that was a different version of the video with other clips? May have been taken down or on another page.
Thank you to all the volunteer firefighters that all that you do thank you from Perry central school
God and higher power greater than just myself I have to rely on your hands. Dear God reach to disciple Ian And disciple Jacob God, if they are of your son's disciples please show them to walk with you God. Amen.
Thank you! 🚒🇺🇸💪🚒🇺🇸💪🚒💪🇺🇸
Might be your best yet. Well done Joel!

Incredible! From and Air Force Firefighter in Okinawa, Japan.
I was stationed in Oki back in '90-'91 at Camp Hansen and then Camp Foster; weekly we would take the bus to Kadena for the commissary. Ooh rah! From a USMC veteran
That smoke explosion at the small house proves the dangers of not wearing PPE even when "outside" the structure.
Couldn't have said it better myself....having been in those exact shoes before...
Congrats all retirees! God Bless Is there a site with list of IFD employees/retirees. Trying to find out status of Cousins Billy Martin (20's) and Davie Sauers (18).
Hi Melissa, I do not believe there is a site that has any kind of official list of retirees. What type of information are you looking to find out about your cousins? The Marion County Public Library has a site that has pictures of past FF's that you can search by name, and you can do a search for their names to see if they appear in any of those. Here is a link to that page, www.digitalindy.org/cdm/landingpage/collection/ffm
Got so emotional, just started to lose some tears. Thank you so much for your work, great Video.
Love your videos! Hope there is more helmet cam videos to come! IFD rocks!
What software was used to make this video?
Powerful words there at the end.
Photos such as this are priceless. The job is hard. It was harder then. Excellent job!
Brian Sanford was my dad's former firefighter's uncle and his name was Reggie Sanford
