Had the opportunity a few weeks ago to go up and deadwood a large sycamore tree next to a pub. i take out some other crossing limbs too in accordance with British Standards, however, it is important to note that this is currently a contested guide. some studies show that branches growing into the crown are actually a form of natural bracing, so its dealers choice. i chose to remove them because...

Glad that you are enjoying it.
So I understand you’re looking out for bears and moose(ies) but can you look for a ‘Mounty’ to bring back for me, please?❤
Could be titled one man’s quest for a sausage sandwich or a bacon sandwich ended up with a tuna melt
Poor baby Nelly fell over and you laughed!! You are a horrible big brother 😂
Young, white, stacked, tattooed, vest wearing guy.. sat outside a Majestic with a camera nothing weird about that!!!😅
What is the green rope that the lanyard is made of? It seems to be very soft and handy... Regards
Love Pasty Puppy x
Fantastic natural beauty my friend! 👏👏
Ma da quando in quà il ferito collabora?
Need two ropes need to be 1 metre above them need to attach to them as you need to take one of you’re systems and attach it onto there’s
Was this at Myerscough?
Do some more tree surgery vids plz mate
I’m sorry to disappoint you this wouldn’t work in real life scenario especially when the casualty is bleeding and unconscious. The rescuer should go upper than the casualty, install two tops with cambium saver than rappel till the casualty, than klick the casualty on the rappel device, instal on the backup rope a prussic for backup, than loosen the casualties rope system in which he/she fall in, that will let the casualties weight in the rescuer rappelling device, than you just need to rappel down with the casualty. That would be my approach.
Going higher than the casualty makes things much easier, but when working on spikes on a spar, it's very possible that the top of the tree has already been taken out and there's no higher place to go anymore.
I run the same rope and prusik if you put a karabiner on the end of the orange rope you won’t have too fully unclip ur prusik all the time
Having that karabiner also allows you more throwing power
I like it
Him in that green jacket needs to sort his ego out I think
If the casualties unconscious they won’t be able to move their feet for you, side line and flip line and just move past them.
Great video. I've got my test tomorrow!
Whereabouts are you doing this course?
What happened to just putting a prusic on your spliced eye side, putting that on your casualties system and lowering you both down on 1 system?
looks fun I am looking to get some training on tree climbing, where was the training centre you were at ?
Now what if the person you are rescue in is knocked out unconscious can you still use the same technique
Yes that's the whole point, but you would have to do everything for them as they would just be dead weight
Just cut the damn tree down she's dead, She bled out.
nice, thx for sharing.
It’s good to see younger generation have a genuine interest in climbing properly. For a trainee to know what a vt is is pretty good as this is normally something you learn outside of college. I know loads of climbers who don’t bother self learning after doing their course and are still climbing on standard prussik. I climb on distel hitch with a pulley which like vt is really good for tending slack one hand. Point being is if you get in trouble in a tree, the best rescue is self rescue. It’s near impossible to do on a standard prussik if you’ve done an arm in. It’s good practice to one arm rescue yourself, alternating sides. I’m an old climber so can come of a tree pretty fast when needed. Specially when you stumble upon a bees nest 😂 also good practice for self rescue 😆 good luck in the industry, looks like you’ve got interest and that’s a good start 👍
MrStreetboy thanks man I appreciate it :) yeah I learn pretty quick haha and I find the whole experience very satisfying from climbing to the job being done afterward :) peace brother
The climbing you're talking to needs an espresso 😂
I think he was actually ill that day haha but yeah he wasn’t firing on all cylinders hahaha
Where you were stood I passed my crosscutting ticket, whos your trainer Willoghby? Or Richard Catlow?
