Poor 'ol girl. "Heidi", here, has lived a nice long life in perfect stock form and even runs and rides as it sits now. But not for long.... Whether people are restoring, keeping all original, or modifying...what's important is that these old bikes are staying on the road. Modifying them into what's popular of that era may seem shortsighted or adolescent, but remember, automotive enthusiasts com...
6 YEARS IN A BARN - Getting a Honda Shadow 600 Motorcycle Ready to Sell
Просмотров 37210 месяцев назад
When a friend tells you he has a motorcycle sitting in his barn that he's about to pull out for the first time in 6 years, you don't ask what it is! You just volunteer to fix it up and get it ready to sell!...orrrr maybe not. Either way, this 2001 Honda Shadow 600, VT600, proved to be as pleasant to work on as every other Honda. It's a good thing, too, because a few items I ended up doing twice...

Another Hive motorcycle is out of the Two Car Garage! I spent 1.5 years tearing down, customizing, fabricating, then rebuilding this 1983 Yamaha Virago 920 (xv920). You'll see me change haircuts, change glasses, and change clothing layers as the seasons pass and the bike progresses. While this was being built I changed jobs and had my second child! email: contacttwocargarage@gmail.com Colors: T...

Although we don't get to ride it in this video, expect a 5 minute time-lapse build video as well as our riding video soon! I wasn't too sure whether to get the side covers polished or not, thinking they may contrast too much with the other colors. But, boy, am I glad I did! It looks fantastic. After installi...

Good job, young man. That's a lot of work and it turned out to be a nice clean build. You took your time to do it right. Word of caution: don't leave the voltage regulator (or is it the rectifier) cable hanging under the bike. If it snags on some debris, you lose charging capability or worse, you lose all power if the positive grounds to the frame. Kudos on the build.

spot on, thats why diesel engines go into "regen" mode to clean the cat and exhaust, computer overheats the ehaust and puts fuel directly into the cat to burn off deposits. along those lines, i had a brand new Mallaguti moped back in 1976, after a few months, it was dead, i knew bikes ,especially two strokes, after a week at jw groombridge, Heathfield , where i bought it i collected it fixed, my brand new moped had the exhaust cut in half and welded back together, and a splash of mat black paint, but went like a rocket after that !
