Still using my +20 years old Philips Pronto programmable remote. Use the macros to turn everything on and to the right input. Best $400 I ever spent! I have the same projector as you, good but not great, but unbeatable at the $1300 I paid for it.

The two sets of connection, connected by the strip is used for biamping.

If you are ever over this way you and your family have a standing invitation to stop by for a movie or two. I don't know how to get you my contact info on such a public forum. I don't do Facebook. I will check with my tech savy nephew on how to do it. I love your setup and bet you guys enjoy it!

I love to see people use odd shaped small spaces as home theaters and you did an excellent job but I have a question,you’re using your LCR soundstage behind the screen so that means your screen is an acoustically transparent screen correct?? Because I didn’t hear you say that that screen was an Audio pass through screen.

Please check the battery chemistry before charging them. The typical charging voltage for VRLA (Lead Acid) batteries is not the same as for GEL batteries, and AGM batteries use a different voltage as well. Additionally, GEL and AGM batteries should not be equalized each month with high voltage. You should verify this on your charge controller and select the correct battery chemistry; otherwise, the batteries may degrade faster. Be careful this time , Good luck

Are those gel or AGM batteries? If so, they might be damaged, which could explain the false readings. I had the same type of batteries, and after about a year, they would fully charge in just half an hour, but then only provide 10 minutes of backup in the evening.

It looks excellent. The dark walls make such a massive difference for contrast. I setup a theater in my guest house and painted the ceiling black and the walls dark purple. It made a big difference. Also that is a really creative way to mount your projector. Very nice.

How do the cerwin Vega sound for heights ? I’m looking for small profile speaker for heights myself. Thanks for the content.

Acoustic panels are the audio pads to tame reflections, I think that is what you meant to say.

Nice! The BenQ projector is great. I have the ht4550, LED light source. I recommend just staying with BenQ and getting a newer model, perhaps when the 5550 comes out in a few years.

Great video. Only problem was I felt very guilty watching it from the comfy sofa, knowing full well that I’ll get to see what you guys experience during the half marathon as well! Keep up the good work for all of us couch potatoes!

You pronounced DENON wrong - it's "Den-ON." A couple of other things: I just installed a new X2800 myself, coming from an old Onkyo 605, and because I was a diehard Onkyo fan, it took some getting used to in terms of the Denon layout (I'm still figuring things out). The Graphic EQ settings don't have to be connected to Audyssey - they can be manually adjusted. I leave it all off. Also, those surround features you mention in the AUDIO menu aren't really related to what you said; your comments are more closely matched to the settings in the SPEAKERS section. The Surround Parameter menu under AUDIO controls other functions in the AVR, and you have to have content already playing to adjust some of them (which is a complete pain).

If you’re enjoying the room the way it is, there’s no need to change anything. You could make some improvements very easily by getting your favorite movies on 4K disks. I know in your last video you said that you don’t use your physical media because you stream everything. That is a mistake! Streaming cannot give you (particularly audio) the detail that a 4K Blu-ray disk will. Another easy improvement would be to replace your center with a tower that matches you L&R. I did this several years back and it was such a huge improvement. I also had Klipsch speakers at the time (now Emotiva). I don’t remember the model number, but they were dual 8” and a typical horn tweet. Having the same speaker for LCR is a big improvement. Very easy to do when the speakers are behind the screen. My setup is similar to yours. I have a 150” acoustic transparent screen, BenQ 3550, Denon x3600h, Appletv. Subscribed to see how your room evolves. I also really dig some of your collectibles in there!

That’s a good looking theater room. I would recommend putting up acoustic panels to help with any reflections or echoes. If you’re a DIYer they’re easy and cheap to make. Otherwise nice job.

I think the one thing people want to know when watching home theater videos is the room dimensions. I am not sure if you mentioned that, but I missed it. Another thing is how far are the seats from the screen.
