    I was thinking of throwing a colony of these in with my Asian forest scorpion breeding trio do you know if I would have to worry about them harassing the scorpions or defending themselves? I have them houserd in a 3X3 foot display case I sealed and turned into a vivarium. Also, do they tend to kill live plants or just eat the rotting ones?

    Thanks for the video. I was worried about what the best things to use in my enclosure for my Hissing Coachroaches. 1 st i started out with just one Hisser however i guess she was prenant bc like 3 months after i got her babies were running around. Now , i wont lie i am a little overwhelmed bc i am not comfortable with touching them and i am having new ones every time i turn around bc i have males and females together...still. I really need to separate them bc i dont want to sell them and i only wanted to have a handfull or so. What would be the best way to find new homes for these guys?. This is all new to me. I do take care of them however as i would a hampster or whatnot. I am using heating pads atm to try and keep them around 72.degrees. can you please give me some insight on what you recommend i do as far as making sure i am caring for them properly and how to ho about separating the boys from the girls!! Thanks 😮😊

    Thank you for this, I prefer to raise up the roaches before I actually feed them off to my animals. This way I know what why are eating is really healthy for them. Plus the benefits of "gut loading" I do not need to cuz of what I feed the feeders.

  • @michellecluff9631

    My husband is a gardener by inclination and trade so these live in our yards. While they are invasive and they are pests, at least they aren’t thugs like periplaneta americana and Blatella germanica. One great thing about this species is that even if it gets loose in your house you’re probably not gonna end up with an infestation problem because they don’t thrive indoors unless you have a lot of soil available for them there.

    They are such beauties. Its also funny that i once found a forest dung beetle and it started hissing at me. It worked at scaring me away 😂😂 so for some reason their hissing actually works even thought no harm or even signs of possible harm is done. I like to imagine that adorable dung beetle being so proud of herself for scaring away such a giant creature and... its not even wrong because that IS what happened 😂 I love these cockroaches. They're just chilling and they're still so adorable. I'd love holding them on my hand

    Im actually SUPER HIGHLY scared of roaches especially the american roaches but i saw this one at my plant pot when i was searching for centipedes, for some reason i felt interested and showed no fear, i searched this one up and suprisingly their not like those spawns of hell that you usually see, so. I did what i havent done before in my entire life, grabbed it with bear hands and researched about it, i guess ill let it go since i feel bad taking it from his home lol

    • @StingersNScales

      I'm going to update on it soon. I recommend researching different soil mixes to try to find the best fit for the species you keep. I also don't recommend adding isopods. At least a species that breeds so quickly.

    Hay, great vid😁 I need some advice. I'm setting up a bio active for my dubias. I've got springtails and tropical gray woodlice. Ano the springtails will be safe but I'm not sure about the grays, I've read somethings saying they'll be fine and other saying they might eat freshly moulted dubia babies so not sure if I should use them or not🤔 any advice ya have would be much appreciated. Thanks

    • @StingersNScales
      @StingersNScales 3 года назад

      I'm going to film an update on my colonies soon. I don't recommend trying to use isopods in the colony. They bred out of control and took over. I definitely saw a decline in dubia production. I've since removed all the isopods from my bins. I still use bioactive substrate and spring tails in my bin with success.
