I can appreciate this version of “Vanishing.” It’s not the same as the original but stays true to the original melody. The only thing that stands out to me is one of her back up singers is way over the top on two separate times but her voice is absent in the third go around. That is a definite tell. I can’t perceive that she’s sick or has any alleged nodules. Usually when a singer has nodules they cannot hit entire scales. I don’t think that’s true here.

This was not Mariah’s fault. They should have allowed Mariah to stop the song and redo it. This happened to Whitney too. The sound technicians screwed up. Mariah tried her hardest to salvage this performance. It was not her train wreck, it was theirs and she got out of it without much damage.
