Yamaha Carb Cleaning
I removed the carburetor on this ef2000is generator and cleaned it up nice. Machine would not start or run before taking the carb off and cleaning it. The generator ran great once repair was done.

    Thanks for the video. My 20 year old 1000 wouldn't start, and watching this video helped me out. My carburetor pulled straight out to the side, so I didn't have to remove the studs. The needle valve was stuck, and after cleaning everything, it started right up and idles like new.

    3 years old Happy Birthday!! and still saving us in 2024!! I just put my yammy back together . It was only running with the choke full on, LOL I actually modified i small rubber hose to keep the choke throttle all the way out. Now it runs with the choke off yea!! but now I am surging, rats!! At least after seeing this video I dont have to do a complete removal of the tupperware. Intresting thing is my pilot (idle) jet doe not seem to have a hole in the bottom, but all the videos show there is on. I even looked with a magnifying glass, curse my old eyes. Oh well here we go again.

    Nice work brother. thumbs up. the q tip polish in the needle port was a nice touch. the only picky part i could find was you didn't snug slight twist the fuel bowel to you feel a natural solid seat on the gasket Hold in place with slight hand grip and bring the bolt up to grip before releasing the hand pressure before tightening Heheh. nothing worse then a leaky fuel bowel after assembly. Great job brother

    I was looking for a lightweight blower for my deck. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxgioZQl3J5wPGAeDINzbieKbT5qomSEx3 There are some huge trees around my house and the leaves and pods drop all over my deck. Having to move furniture around to sweep has become too big a chore. This blower was the answer. It is light enough for this 70yr old lady and powerful enough to blow all the tree droppings off my rather large deck. Thank you B&D. Be aware the cord is not included. I use a 3 prong outdoor cord 25' cord for my 12' x 20' deck. The cord retainer works very well, but don't try to pass the plug through it. That is NOT how it works. You just have to loop the cord and it works great. One of my best purchases. Very happy.

    Thank you for the video. I order parts today and will be installing on our Predator 8750 gen. You may have but didn't show inline fuses to the relay and actuator. I'll add 2 fuses. I don't want to burn down my generator with these inexpensive parts. I'm going to see if I can wire the 4th relay to the throttle ECS. I'd like to start with the ECS off, then turn it on. Like someone said, adding an on/off switch for the relays/actuator as well. Thanks again for you videos.

    • @shananigans1179
      @shananigans1179 Год назад

      Good idea on the fuses. On the fourth relay, the eco throttle is a standard on off switch. With the way I had the board set up it would not allow you to do some of the relays to be momentary on and some of them to be momentary off and then others to be latching. So with the board I had you would have to essentially hold the button down in order for it to be in the on or off position.

    • @shananigans1179
      @shananigans1179 Год назад

      Making noise is never good. Remoce the recoil and see if you get any up and down play on the flywheel. Look for any bolts that may have broke holding the bottom case half together or cranckshaft bearings that may be worn.

    • @honeywellsnake
      @honeywellsnake Год назад

      @Shananigans thanks for the quick reply. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the flywheel is still hard to spin with the spark plug removed, that should eliminate valve adjustment as the issue?

    • @shananigans1179
      @shananigans1179 Год назад

      If you have the work plug out and it's still hard to pull over it sounds like someone may have ran the machine without oil mixed in the gas. 9 times out to 10:00. This will seize the bearing on the connecting rod and will be hard to pull over.

    • @honeywellsnake

    • @shananigans1179
      @shananigans1179 Год назад

      Check your gas cap. There's a atmospheric vent in there that might be plugged. That would not allow the fuel to flow properly.

    • @ladybugbed
      @ladybugbed Год назад

      I just checked the cap and blew all the small port holes. I could think find. I’ve cleaned all the debris out of them and I can breathe through them. I’ll try it out tomorrow. I have a riding mower with 18 hp Kohler pro and it’s doing the exact same thing. I’ve cleaned the carburettor three times and still seems like there’s what I’ve heard is a Vapor lock or air pocket in the line. After about 10 minutes, the fuel filter is empty and I’ve got a blow through the cap to force fuel back into the filter and then restart it. This is driving me insane with this particular problem.

    • @shananigans1179
      @shananigans1179 Год назад

      On the Kohler is there a vacuum fuel pump or a mechanical fuel pump? If it's the vacuum fuel pump, check the vent line going over to the fuel pump. I've seen those get tiny holes and cracks in them and they don't pump fuel like they should. I've also seen the diaphragms go bad in the pump. On the mechanical pump. I've seen the diaphragm go bad in those also.
