Have the standards of public transport dropped in the UK

This is due to a combination of factors, including: Budgetary constraints: The government has cut public spending, which has led to reduced funding for public transport Deregulation: Private bus operators compete with each other and other public transport modes, which reduces efficiency Profit-driven companies: Private com...

Interesting. During the portions when full organ is utilized, you can clearly hear a 16' reed in the pedal. However, no such stop appears in the specification.
@@georgejenista9487 well done for spotting that I did that with the audio to see if anyone noticed
please be aware there may be a few swear words
How about this then for public safety bus I was on just now smoke coming out the back and burning smell depot told the driver carry on until it blows up. So they are putting people's lives at risk no excuses I will take this further
Where is the largest UK organ?

I wonder what the piece is called at the beginning .. a tuba tune of some kind, from 2.51 there seems to be a variant of it. David Johnson wrote a number of trumpet tunes, but I have not found this on You tube elsewhere yet.
@@masterinsight322 the piece is by German organist Paul Fey and is called tuba tune
@@NatalieJmedia Thank you very much, I have written to him in the past but did not notice this piece by him, for its simplicity and directness I think it is one of the most effective of tuba tunes along with the Lang and Norman Cocker ones. Probably not being played on Winchester Cathedral though! Many thanks for your video of one of Englands' finest organs, I wonder how near the top of Englands' organs some would place this, though perhaps it is unfair to compare them!
@@masterinsight322 I know what you mean I couldn't rate organs in a top ten especially kings college Westminster Abbey St Paul's cathedral and agree with your comment in my eyes they are all musical gems of the organ world same as the Royal Albert Hall they are fine organs.
Also mentioned in this interview The late Russ Tollerfield Chief engineer at radio victory
Has anyone got any old radio victory photos of the studios would be appreciated for archive purposes.

@NatalieJmedia Anton Darby.....recognise the voice! Lol
I'm of the opinion that things are getting worse. Not exclusively the fault of drivers but largely the people who use it. Examples include not having their passes ready to show the driver when boarding, general rudeness and in some cases staff reaching their breaking point.
Name 5 locations where victory had studios
Just seen Anton in cosham and met him such a gent.
For its size ie number of stops and pipes it has a beautiful tonal quality 🤩🤩🤩🤩
@@colincarruthers5259 it's a bit of a mission climbing up to the organ loft and there is no handrail, but it is possible if you take it slow. Apparently they are looking for an organist for Sunday's.
Never knew Rippon had a cathedral, the organ sounds really good
Meridian moved from Forun One at Whiteley to Fusion One ...across the road at Whiteley...this was in 2012
How many times have people been refused travel because thier pass didn't work or been sarcastically told you should have put your hand out for the bus to stop. or drivers driving straight past without stopping or even missing your stop even though you pressed the bell.
This is an observation and everyone is entitled to thier opinion, the information in the description is fact and also Law
Quite a spec for a two manual!

the opening shot is Cowes Railway Station
man of action by the les reed orchestra is used to remember Johnnies time with the pirate stations and this was RNI's theme as a pirate station
Amazing instrument!
This organ is of historic importance , just like the organ at Holy trinity Gosport once played by Handel.
Thank you for the pictures of the "Grove" organ, it really is a fantastic instrument. Just two observations: 1) The "Grove" should never have a case added to it, in my opinion. Its appearance is just as it was built for the Inventions Exhibition and is a unique survival, 2) I wonder why at 2.39 we suddenly have a view of the organ in the former St Paul's Church, Penzance in Cornwall. UK?
