This is a quick little video about updating or employee notification board!... and that's about it. Most of the info was out of date and thankfully we didn't get fined when we were inspected by the Washington department of labor and industries back in January! Their calked pull types plows. Not drag plows.
Going around the field I'd by far the fastest efficient way to plow. Done it for years. Reverse plow the next time you plow. You pick up on corners then plow them out last or a disk or chisel plow will leave you without any dead furrows
Thank you for this very informative bideo...❤
We always started a field by starting plowing the first round away from the fence line then second round plowed the other direction and threw the dirt back towards the already plowed ground. then started laying out lands. our fields were anything but square and quite hilly.
The sliding hydraulic allows for quick adjustments based on varrying soil conditions. It also allows for a large wide plow to pull down the road narrow.
Thanks for your great explanation of all of the tillage equipment
this is just fantastic information. thank you for making this!
Joe could you plant corn only in order plow disc and plant corn or use the rototiller also for a fine finish
Joe can show us how will you water corn with a rain gun on a 5 acre Wich side wil you start and the speed with 5 inches of water in the ground so the whole land Will be even with water thank you Joe
Joe thank you for helping people I learned how to plow from you 1 question I have is how many horses power is your tractor 2 question is on a three point plow what's the minimum horse power on a tractor there different kind but my father bought a plow and it was too heavy the tractor was suffocating we suffered with that plow our tractor has 70 horse power ford 5600 the dealership said this is the right one how . does the measure ment that you did is that the way for the correct plow
Vers good vidéo And smart explication. Thank you
Anyone else using this for Farming Simulator 22? lol
Nice try. There are some more adjustments that can be made and help even more to safe some tima and fuel. For beginners this should be a very good learning video! Thank you for making this and for your time invested! Greetings from germany
oh the tractor helps reduce labor a lot
Rototilling is so much easier.
So, centerline of draft is the point where the overall load is equalized on either side with an offset to the left. Is that correct?
Something like that. The "center of resistance" is where the soil force and landside force vectors intersect. If you can pull straight ahead from the "center of resistance" you will not add nor subtract from the force acting on the landside of the plow. But, even when pulling straight ahead there will always be a component of force left over that the landside must absorb. Drawing a line from the "center of resistance" to the "center of pull" on the tractor establishes the "line of draft". The line of draft parallel to the direction of travel is the most efficient, but not the end of the world if it is not. Adjusting correctly for the line of draft being not parallel to the direction of travel is important to being able to steer the tractor.
Thanks for the vid. Helped out a lot. Some refinement still needs to be made, but the 1968 Case 430 pulled it better.
Your videos are very educative thank you so much
Lumber mill Up sawmill 4:13
In both cases you are placing a furrow on unploughed land. Especially when ploughing in you need to turn the centre run over first then turn it back again. Likewise when ploughing out, you turn the furrow in but then turn the same furrow back out again. Generally you don't cut those initial furrows as deep.
Hi Joe, what area you till? I plan to do a garden in Lakeville area. If you can help then let me know. Than let know
This was just what I needed to learn. Thank you! I bought an old Ford 101 two bottom, 14" plow last year, and just got it reconditioned (sand, prime, paint, new fasteners, and wear parts). Today was my first test on virgin ground. Things progressed well, and your instructions helped me manage the job, despite the rocks, and this Georgia red clay.
Put the new hive in the place that the old hive was and the field bees will come to it easily. You should try to put the old frames in the center of the box with the new frames on the outside of them on either side. You're doing good, stay calm and move slowly. It's a wonderful thing to know. Lots of fun and good honey. Hmmm good.
I like that big ford tractor.
Great work. Like seeing that disk fly through the field.
I like your link, you would make a good yeacher.
People !! Find a different source this man is way off
After all the years of plowing on my dad's farm I did not realize I had to take an algebra class to get the job done wow... we just put er in the ground and hit the gas

Well explained...its like you simplified simplicity even further.
I love this.good lesson indeed. Watching from Zambia.solwezi town
Answer is Keverland reversible plough .
Hey i would love to work on your farm
Iam looking for a carport 10by40
Hello, how much $ is the rent in your country for 1 decare or 1 hectare, thank u.
I occasionally cross plow after flattening. I put as many woodchips and leaves as i have time to put in until i can't pick-up a handful of soil that doesn't have woodchips and leaf rubble. And the turning plow finds tons of worms. 4" of mulch put out with a blower really cuts down on weeds. I rarely have to add chicken coop cleanings so as to make the corn plant a dark rich green,ie sweeter corn.
Yes its a long video get over it. ! This is all information you will need eventually. Thanks very much.
I have 70 acres near La Center.....i would love connect.
Great video on how to set a 3 bottom plough up. Use to semi mount ploughs. Picked up an old kevernland plough in rough shape ! Took the shed runner off the shears and followed your set up instructions! Got the draft rite! Now ploughs like a dream, thanks for the inflo!
If I'm plowing a hillside, I know I should plow up hill, however do I run down to one end then drive back to the other end and start over?
Great job. Easy to understand. Thank you. I'll be putting mine on with-in the week for the first time.
I was looking for a Plowing for sale
I did a lot of plowing . Were I worked sometimes I would get laid off from work for weeks at a time. So I would plow garden's for people. I learned it was easy plowing if the plow was set right. I read in a owners manual if you would clean the dirt of the plow & paint the plows so they would not rust & pit, then the dirt would not stick to the plow as bad. It works ! 🚜🚜🚜
Forget all that math, looking at your video you probably have 14 or 16"plow,set the right wheel where it will run in the fur(6 or 8"deep,)then adjust the hitch to almost level, with the wheel in the fur.front and back..
Holy smokes! Do you have a Hefty-G tractor? I thought we had the only one in the US. Dang! Ours is set up for research plots/breeding.
Welcome to beekeeping. Youve already made your first mistake of many. More than smell, bees orient to a specific location. You shoud have set your new box at the location that the bees had already oriented to. Move bees 2 ft or 2 miles is the saying to remember. Because this is the only hive in the area, you are probably ok. However, the reducd landing board activity suggests you may have lost a considerable numbef of foraging bees. Not only thosd who were out but also the ones who left the hive that had already oriented to the other location. Google orientation flights to learn more. Good luck to you.
1967 l came home from school to find UPS had delivered 50 boxes of Bees. Dad ordered them and my older brother & l were going into the Honey business. That fall we harvested over a hundred gallons of Honey. We sold it in 60 Lb metal cans to bakeries. ben/ michigan
That's wonderful! Thanks for sharing.
