My own understanding of contemporary Israel is that their return to Jerusalem from exile to their homeland was prophesied. The prophecies also said it would occur without a war. This happened in 1948 via the UN decree. Prophesy also decreed that they would be attacked by the surrounding Arab nations and would prevail in 6 days. This happened in the Six Day War. They are also located within the physical Promised Land. But, they don’t currently occupy all of that land. The entirety of the Promised Land would lie between the Nile River and the Tigris Euphrates River Valley which is modern day Baghdad, Iraq. So, these prophesies have been fulfilled. But, the final promise won’t be fulfilled until Judgement Day when the New Heaven will occupy that Promised Land by the promised Jewish remnant.
