    老師,當我不了解這個句子時,請問我要怎麼知道要在哪個地方切 chunk?chunking 有規則可循嗎?

    • @BrettLEnglish
      @BrettLEnglish 17 часов назад

      There are two main ways to chunk: meaning and feeling. The best way to chunk is to take small bits of meaning and break sentences up like that. If a chunk is too long, then break it where it feels natural. Most native speakers chunk slightly differently, depending on what feels good for them. The more you play with chunking, the more you'll develop an intuitive sense of where to chunk. It takes time.

    點出了我的恐懼感,對英文的恨就是重看不懂have pp開始,而且那時候不管問什麼老師都會在得到一串文法分析,還是聽不懂,然後從此只要看到have就直接放棄理解了😂

      This is a great opportunity for you. Instead of analyzing grammar or being afraid of it, just mimic sentence structures, just like you did when you were a kid learning Chinese. Use this method, and you'll improve out of sight.

    • @BrettLEnglish
      @BrettLEnglish 17 часов назад

      The easiest way is to practice saying the numbers in English. You have to understand the conversion to say it. When I learned Chinese numbers, I spent a few months only saying (or thinking) numbers in Chinese. I also did some basic math in Chinese to really learn the numbers. It takes quite a bit of effort, but it's worth it.

    老師您好,我有在博客來購買電子檔的《抄寫英文的奇蹟》。我根據書本中提供的QR code下載相關音頻資料,可是我不知道如何使用這本書中的音頻資料進行朗跟讀訓練。我想要的是您RUclips上面的這種可以把一段話切斷成一小句,還可以重複多次練習的音頻檔案。請問你們有提供這種音頻資料嗎?要如何取得?

    • @BrettLEnglish

      This type of 朗跟讀 is separate from the audio for the book. Over the coming months, I'll be releasing 10 such videos on my RUclips channel. 10 videos will be sufficient for you to familiarize yourself with this form of practice.

    老師您好,請問我有在博客來購買電子檔的《抄寫英文的奇蹟》。可是我不知道如何使用這本書中的音頻資料進行朗跟讀訓練,我根據書本中提供的QR code下載相關音頻資料,(Day1-100中都只會讀一遍,且沒有把整段音頻資料切成一句一句的練習)它與我曾觀看您RUclips上的影片好像有些差別,不知道是不是我下載了不對的音頻檔案?

    • @BrettLEnglish
      @BrettLEnglish День назад

      You have the correct audio files. They are not broken into chunks. I'll be breaking 10 of them into chunks and posting them on RUclips for everyone to use.

      That's easy to solve! Use the 2-minute rule from Atomic Habits to start. All you do is to decide to do the first step of your TOEFL study every single day. Be sure that the first step can be completed in 2 minutes. Once you've done that, see if you want to continue your study. If you do, just keep going. If you don't, don't feel bad about it - you're building a positive habit, and you'll start doing more in no time. Good luck with it 💪💪💪
