I bought this same 3 month kit and regret it. Live and learn. Buyer beware.

You gotta be very hungry to eat this. I've tried it and it is low quality for high dollar., stock up on Mountain House or Peak Refuel. They both at least taste like home cooked food.

Got a similar one very recently for £300. It is not necessarily the best writer, but for making the right impressions, it has no equal. Which is the reason for spending the bucks in the first place.

I looked at all that all of them offer. I can keep the ingredients, bought separately, for MUCH cheaper. These have to be for people who have no idea how to cook from scratch. I thought possibly it could be good stuff that was convenient, but no. The price is just outrageous. Just buy your own oats. They last forever and you can cook however many servings you want. Sugar. Water. Milk powder if you want. Box of instant rice. You can mix the rice with anything you want and even sweet rice is great. Mac and cheese. Just stock up on little boxes of Kraft Mac and cheese. I’ve stocked up on lots of pasta. Can make all kinds of stuff with that. Everything is going to take water, so I’ve bought a way to purify my water. With flour you can thicken anything, make noodles, bread, cakes cookies. JUST BUY THE BASIC INGREDIENTS AND BUY IN BULK AND YOU’RE SET!

I make my homemade ones and they are excellent but I feel these are very close in taste and texture.

Boiling 8 cups versus 1 cup is a huge energy difference. Cleaning up afterward could prove a problem.

Ok Dude key word "Survival" food. In a Survival situation where people are Starving they won't be worried about whether the oatmeal is "sweet" or not. Survivors can't be so picky about their food when they are starving!!! I bet there are many right now who are hungry and would gladly accept that oatmeal! People like you living in this country are so stinking spoiled thinking that everything is going to go back to " normal" Wake up and Prepare! Stop being so stinking picky and ungrateful.

Honestly how can they say this would be good for a bug out bag. I am not really worried about the serving size, that’s simple math divide everything by the amount of servings and separation . I don’t like the amount of water usage . A gallon of water weighs 8.3 pounds . ( there’s a difference in liquid vs dry weight.) Now a bug out bag is supposed to contain everything you need. And it’s for you to be on the move in quick amount of time. If you had a family of three this food would be useless for someone is going to carry at least 40 pounds of water thats 3 gal for the less than palatable food and another 2 to drink cleaning is out the window, in this scenario. Now an average person carrying a 20 to 30 pound pack will burn 5500 calories per 8 hour day. So this food would be useless in a mobile situation. . Also I can’t imagine any situation where this food would make sense. If you were in a storm. And had no power how would you heat the water. Using your generator to heat up 64 oz of water seems a waste. Of fuel and an enormous waste of precious water. Dehydrated food is only good where there is access to water . But not in emergency situations.

I bought the month tub. I received a box of envelopes, poorly labeled, non resealable. Basically these are one and done. 3 were opened up on arrival and scattered out in tub making awful mess. Next I measured and cooked EXACTLY TO DIRECTIONS. creamy wheat the instructions vs number of the portions claimed, makes no sense. Next Mac and cheese was basically a toxic glue Mashed Potatoes, portions not even close, leaves a film of yuck in your mouth, that doesn't go away for about an hour. The amount of water they require is freaking insane. You definitely can't carry any of this in a pack, it would be useless, without 3gal of water. And then, you have to boil it. Finally... The calories. I'm not sure how they calculated, but they sure didn't seem to consider serving size/calories vs daily requirements for an adult. Basically, your better off buying a tub, and filling it with canned food. Cans have liquid in them, and you can cook directly in an open fire. Cans are also already portioned. The biggest turn off is nothing's resealable. Wtf were they thinking? Obviously not about surviving.

Regretting purchasing a 72 hour food promotion from 4Patriots this week. When reviewing the confirmation I noticed the shipping address was wrong. I put my correct address in “their”system and “their” system somehow changed it. The support email is useless and essentially told me they can’t help me an I’d need to deal with UPS or try and get it from the addressed where it was sent! I called their help line # and found the guy very helpful and he said if he couldn’t get it rerouted by UPS they would resend. Today I was told via support email they would not resend. The emails are laughable if you were to read them. But I’m a valued customer Hahaha Will never deal with them again.

I have 4 of thies kits also and put the 12 packets in to the 3 month supply kit and ordered 9 Peak Refuel packets to make a custom 3 day kit ($125) .

Too much water, too much fuel, too much time, not enough calories. The last thing you want to carry for a 3 day survival kit, but since you can survive 3 weeks without food maybe you will last for a few days longer. I would measure out 1/2 the food and add 1/2 the water then roll up the package and wrap a rubber band around it. That should get you by for 2 days comfortably.

I wish I had seen this video before I purchased their product. They had a: buy one 72 hr. kit and get 2 free. Plus reduced shipping for veterans. I believe in supporting US companies. We opened one kit to see what was in it and found the oatmeal had a bad seal. Contacted company for replacement. They had me send photos to claims department and now NO ONE will answer their emails. BUYER BEWARE indeed. Kraft Mac & Cheese takes 7 mins to cook. If I have to cook items for 20 mins I could cook a full meal. Thanks for the video.

In an emergency situation. Things to hoard. Water. Food. Right. But also a way to travel with said food, or to store made food, like a resealable bag. How many people in my family do I need to provide for. Say we have no power. How much fuel do I have to boil water. 4patriots. From the other videos I have just watched is not on point to be survival food. It’s more like Camping food.

What if you don’t have fire wood. Or a gas stove. For 2 products you have used an hour of gas.

I wonder how many people buy these things, toss them into a corner somewhere, and only AFTER a catastrophe happens, THEN open them up? Good luck with that tactic!!! There is an issue with the water consumption, I will agree with you there. But these are not meant to be full meals. You would have to provide your own protein since protein is perishable, they are not going to provide you with any. You have to use so much water because this food is all dehydrated, which is an issue. The price is way too much for what you are getting so I personally would never purchase it. But the main thing you are not doing is reading the serving label correctly.

The rice dish is 260 calories per serving. It has more than one serving in that package. So multiply the 260 by the servings and that is the total calories. These are also for a number of people in your party, not for one person. You said you have a wife, the two of you can survive on this. My guess would be 260 x 4 servings for 1,040. Also yes, you would have this with some type of protein, maybe fish you caught in the creek? Or rabbit? Or whatever other protein you have captured and prepared.

I would say it would be two cups of boiling water for a quarter of the package, which just figure out the weight and divide it by 4. Not sure why you are complicating things.

Resealing the package is easy, just fold it up and use a clip on it. It is a 72 hour kit, meaning food for 3 days, that is 72 hours. I am not defending their food, I don't even have any, I am merely explaining these things that you are reading incorrectly on the package.

The package says 210 calories per serving and each package has 8 servings. If you were to eat the entire package it would be 1,680 calories.

I can get a big bag of dried mixed vegetables at my local herbs store for less than $15. A fruit cup full will make the wife and I a crockpot full of vegetable soup, which then add some beef to and some beef bullion cubes. A 1# bag of dried beans or rice is only $1,25 at the Dollar Tree of which we can add meat to it and make it a meal. Keep it dry and it will keep...

Would be great if the directions had directions for 1 serving because I wouldn’t eat that much oatmeal for breakfast. It needs to be split in days and have a zip to reseal it. Jmho

I get waht you're saying and appreciate your video. It does use allot of water, it would be nice if the bags could be closed and cut into smaller servings. The idea is that armeggedon has happened and you're trying to survive, we don't get steak, pork, hamburger at that point, we "survive", that's it. If things got that bad, who the heck would want to live anyway?? I'm sure the people that offer this stuff are worth millions, the fear mongering has made them wealthy.

no... you are MISLEADING... it is 210 per serving (8) servings = 1680 calories for oatmeal rice .... 260 per servings (4) servings = 1040 calories mac and cheese is 260 calories (the serving info was covered...so i will say 4) = 1040 calories for a grand total of 3760 calories....if this was for a family of 3 to 4 would totally work
