Pull the tube shell holder clear out and load 3/8” plastic tubes with shells and then pour them in quickly, replace the shell holder
I’ve thought about it. But am not planning on it.
Mine was produced in 73 according to the serial # some folks say they can shoot shorts in theirs i haven't tried any tet
Have you had your hands on a Marlin Model 600. Seems the differences are mostly cosmetic. Just curious on your opinion of that one.
Nice rifle.
Thanks!
Just picked up a glenfield model 60 made in 1975 doesn’t have the squirrel stock it has a different pattern but it looks very similar. I haven’t shot it yet looking forward to it
Report back on how it shoots for you!
For tapping that rear sight sideways I would use your wood dowel and a small brass hammer for better control. Also, don’t gunsmiths bore sight anymore?
I've since bought a better hammer for just that. Thanks for watching!
The rifle is drilled and tapped for a peep site Which you could fine tune. Just a thought.
I've looked at Williams Peeps in the past, but since this was uploaded, I've gotten much better with the stock sites. Thanks for watching!
When sighting a scope, if you are not on the paper, move closer to the target to see what direction to adjust the scope for roughing it in. Then move back to the distance you want for fine adjustment.
What no stainless😀
I've only held a stainless one once. I just don't have access to it any more.
J’ai la même 👍
For the Love of God man.....give that rear sight just a little tap a roo to the right 🤣
@@darrenaurand7138 It has since been tapped 😂
You forgot the Stainless steel version. And one with a medallion in the stock and a Gold trigger
@@samuelmorado70 I mean… I didn’t forget them. I just don’t have access to them.
CCI should just stop making the " Stingers ". There not accurate. Concentrate on the accurate good ammo. They could save a lot of money, And save the customer money also.???
Out of the nearly 25 .22 LR rifles I've owned, not ONE has shot Stingers accurately and consistently.
Bloke remington 550-1 and 552 much better
This video isn’t about those rifles
@@YonderOak all vids are about those rifles sooner or later they are the peak of standards for the industry now in deekline
@@comodice905Thanks for watching!

Mine was bought new in 77'. Used once on button buck. Been thinking about using Hornady's Leverlution ammo in it! Good to know to put a flat nose up the tube first!😊
Glad I could help. Good luck!
My 1976 Mod 60 is as new.
Junk. Pre-64 or nothing! My 1952 looks much better than this
@@D5quared91 Junk. Pre-war or nothing! I’ve seen 1920 models that look much better than your 1952.
I have the almost identical marlin 60 glenfield with squirrel patterns. I got it from my grandfather when he passed. It has feed issues regularly also.
I have the same gun. I took it part and cleaned all the years of gunk out of the receiver. Now, it's fine.
The .30.30 is a 200 yard deer rifle with the traditional flat nose bullets and you can go to 250 or 275 with the Hornady Lever Revolution.
I would agree with that now.
Bom dia
Clean your internals ffs... I wouldn't listen to this muppet about anything.
I have 2, one from 1982 and one that’s stainless that I bought in 2017
Left handed
Yep
The trees needed some trimming.
😂
@@YonderOak We are waiting.
@@bigboresledderTo trim trees?
Time to modify that grip so your brass doesn't get hung up.
Or just bring the cylinder all the way out when ejecting.
Just a byproduct of trying to eject cases one-handed while holding a camera with the other.
You eject with one hand while reaching for a speed loader with the other.
@@gregoryfurneaux4985Not here I didn’t. I choose the “Two-hand ejection” method.
I got a 327 mag but what else is a good 32 cal cartridge
Your 327 mag can fire all of them! 327 Fed Mag, .32 H&R Mag, .32 S&W Long, .32 S&W, and even .32 ACP.
I suggest you practice on the slingshot first.
What kind of rifle is that?
Very nice.
👍🏻👍🏻
That's one sexy revolver
В 38 сп есть такой???
There are Model 36s out there with 3-inch barrels. Heritage Arms just released their Roscoe revolver. Theres a 3-inch version of that which is much cheaper than the Smith and Wesson and looks nearly identical.
Yonder Oak. Good video. It is always fun to be out shooting. Good to be out handling the guns so we are ready when we might need one. I can relate to missing the target if you were to see any of my videos you would understand. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Just bought one . At a gun show and visited my old ammo vendor. Forty bucks a box. Think I will wait for a local auction
Is no one going to say something about this guy dry firing these?
He didn’t dry fire them.
I take it back, my bad. The 2nd bolt release got me.
@@joelcastellanos7224 Take it easy 🤣
Not dry firing , but actuating the bolt release, which is not always good either. It is designed to be activated when shells are to be chambered.
Thank you

The sks is sensitive to heat in grouping. You could see your shots "walking up" the target as you went. On a sled, elevation is not a "you" thing. It's a gun (and/or maybe ammo) thing. Adding a peep sight could help, but glass-bedding is apparently the bomb on an sks.
Save the squirrel 🐿️
Every American general in WWII , was issued one usually in .32 caliber. OSS and SOE , issued and used them. It was a point and shoot handgun that is why it has no real sites. See the movie KEY LARGO , with Bogart, to see how he just pointed it fast and secured hits at about fifteen feet range or less. For a movie he had the use of this gun right on. You should have cleaned and oiled the hundred year old gun before test firing it, just to be fair.
I did clean and oil it before the video. Thanks for watching!
@@YonderOak Sorry, it should work without a hitch . Bad magazine , old springs , old ammo, something is sabotaging one of the best firearms ever designed...
Too young to know what to do with the 120A
Explain yourself, Randy.
You made no sight adjustment
That is correct, yes.
There is one of these in very good condition, 1940's, at a local shop, asking, $1200 + tax. Nope
Yeah, no thanks.
I now have 4, a 71, a 75, and two rem Marlins. Love them. Still collecting them
First question before I ask all my questions: ARE YOU LEFT HANDED? Reason I ask because some phone video cameras reverse the image.
Yes! I’m left-handed. I shoot shotguns and iron sights left handed, but pistols right-handed. I’ve also trained myself to shoot scoped rifles right-handed.
@@YonderOak Good day. Ok, good deal. Just wondering because I was a bit confused about some of your procedures. For instance, you were hitting left and tapped the rear sight to the right. I thought you move your sight in the direction you are hitting in order to get the opposite effect. Maybe I’m thinking about something else.
@@marcoaguiar1131 If you were adjusting the front sight it would be opposite like that. But the rear sight gets adjusted the direction you want the round to go.
@@YonderOak Thank you for clarifying this. I knew I developed some sort of brain fart!
Pain to look at it...
Sorry I hurt you.
Future Farmers of America!
I have one of the older squirrel guns and I get stove pipes all the time, wonder why that happens so often.
From what I’ve heard, it has to do with that two-piece feed throat.
I'm a shotgun guy that's cool
Thanks for watching!
What a pretty old shotgun...I have my daddys 1890 Astro 12g. Its a Spanish shotgun that he bought in the 50's. Ive been eyeballing a 1886 Baker 12 gauge double barrel...They want a good amount for her. I sure love those old shotguns compared to the new ones they have such awesome character an well made.. Awesome video friend ...
Thanks for watching!
YO. Good video. Good shooting with that nice old gun. Thanks for sharing and take care.
