This series has taught us how to grow. The importance of Courage, Hope, Friendship, Love, Sincerity, Knowledge, Reliability. It'll always be legendary.
I can't listen to this without crying anymore. I grew up with Digimon's english dub as a kid but I watched the sub version later on (Currently watching through Digimon Adventure in subbed). But everytime I listen to Butterfly it reminds me of being a kid and loving Digimon. Blue skies and Agumon and joy. Nothing like the bleakness of adulthood. Just pure innocence and fun. Koji Wada's voice heals my soul and reminds me that everything is gonna be alright. Rest in peace Koji Wada-san. <3
This song is a masterpiece. BUT!! For me personally, this wonderful work by the late Kouji Wada doesn't get me going nearly as much as "Honoo no Overdrive" (the opening for 2000's "Transformers: Car Robots"). I will admit that's most likely my fault, as I heard "Honoo no Overdrive" first. That said...even without partner Digimon or fellow Seibertrons/Cybertronians, we are still Chosen People...we are still Cybertrons (& Destrons)/Autobots (& Decepticons). Press onward!!
I can’t watch Last Evolution… I love this song, but can’t watch that series! Digimon season 1 was mine and my sister’s favorite show and season. I was Tai and she was Kari.
I grew up on the dub and though I love the song for nostalgic reasons, and it was easy to remember as a kid, the Butterfly song just hits different. Mind you I never heard it until I was older (like in my 20s) but when I did it hit me in the feels as if I heard it all along. Not going to lie I teared up the first time I heard it and now I listen to it often. Something about it just makes you feels nostalgic.
This anime has touched my heart since I was a child and I'm not from the 90's, I was born in 2006 and yet every time I hear this song it fills my heart and fills me with memories of the best childhood
Was just thinking of childhood stuff and I remembered digimon. Started searching for this masterpiece. Sadly I just found out the singer died 2016 and I kinda feel like I failed my younger self not knowing about this information sooner. Thank you for one of the best memories of childhood and for singing the intro to one of the best animes I have seen when I young.
teary eyes lol 😔 can't help it tho while watching the movie, Felt sad since my dog is already old and who knows how long can I still have moments with him..
