Добавлен 29 окт 2022
I'm here to show you how you can do not only the most basic home repairs but also larger home renovations. I try to get down to the very basics with step-by-step instructions to help the most beginner DIY'er.
Most videos are filmed on-site at actual jobs, with a few from my own home sprinkled in. Your home is the most expensive asset you have but you don't need your repairs and renovations to be the most expensive costs you incur. With my years of experience and hints and tips there's no reason you can't tackle those honey-do lists as well as those renovations you've only dreamt of up to now.
In my Rental Rehab program, I work extensively with homeowners & property managers to make their rental properties top notch to not only give them the best return on their investment but to make the experience better for the renter as well. I'm a firm believer in the philosophy that a better rental property nets a better renter, which benefits everyone involved.

I’m in Vegas, much do you charge for this service?
Channel locks suck, use a wrench that fits.
Great video Hopefully in my case it will work just like yours
Hope it all goes well. Make sure to take backup precautions as mentioned, just in case. Drop a comment when you're finished to tell us how it went. Thanks for watching and good luck with your project.
Like 👍 thank u!
Back at you. Appreciate the thumbs up and thanks for watching.
Thank you
No, thank you for watching. I'm glad the video helped. Good luck with your projects.
Easy to understand video. Ty!
Thanks for the nice comment and for watching. Good luck with your projects.
I'll listen to the Wogger Way ANY TIME I have a home repair issue. My water heater drain was leaking. First I went to a big box store who told me I needed a new water heater.....seriously! Then I watched the video, ordered the correct part from the manufacturer, watch The Woggers Way again and five minutes later....DONE, FINISHED, NO DRIP TO BE SEEN!!!! You're the BEST. Thank you
WooHoo! Love to hear success stories. Not sure which part I like better, that you fixed it or that I'm the BEST. It's a toss up, but I'll go with that you fixed it. And that's only because you're watching me any time.. but not in a weird stalker type watching, right? I don't know if I could handle another stalker.. haha. Thanks for watching and glad I was able to help. I have to go open my blinds for you now.
Mine backed up and leaked under the pan any ideas on what to do ? Or how can i clean the clog in the drain pipe in floor?
Well, for starters remove the washer and pan and clean up the water.. which I'm sure you have. To clean out the drain pipe in the floor you can pick up an inexpensive snake to send down there to clean out any clog that may be in there. Then pour some water down it to be sure it's clear before reinstalling the pan. It's for this reason I recommend, as per the video, sealing around the gap between the floor drain and the floor. Here's a link to a drain snake that'll work for the floor drain pipe whether it's a 3/4" or 1-1/2" drain pipe. amzn.to/3ZGk52d Thanks
Thanks for the tip. Need to replace that plastic valve.
Drop a comment once finished to tell everyone how it went. Good luck with your project and thanks for watching.
What Size is that allen tool ???
I've seen them in several sizes from 5/64 to 5/32 and even some with a philiips head screw. Whish I could tell you they are all standard but depends on the brand. Thanks for watching.
Nice clear explanation. I would suggest making actual measurements and cutting the whole piece accordingly, then cut in half. The only gap would then be the saw kerf in the middle, which is easily filled. New subscriber here.
Appreciate subscribing and helping me in my 2025 goal of 15,000 subscribers. I have another video in the works on just as you mentioned, plus also without having to remove the existing warped base. The only issue I had with the cabinet in this video was the cabinet was so warped and water damaged that nothing was square inside the cabinet or straight, which made cutting a panel to fit tight nearly impossible, thus having to leave some gaps and trim it out with the quarter-round. The cabinet in the upcoming video was nice and true, making the base panel soooo much easier, and didn't have to use any trim around the edges at all. Appreciate the comment and for watching, and good luck with your projects. Uncle Bryan.
Great great video brother
Thanks. Hope it helps you in your project. and if you could help me in my goal to reach 15,000 subscribers I would appreciate you subscribing if you haven't already. Good luck with your projects and thanks for watching. Ya'll are the best.
Thank you great video
No, thank you for the nice compliment and for watching.
Amazing instructional video! I hope to replace our 14 year old gas tank water heater with a tankless electric. It's very helpful to understand whats involved even when calling in pros to install.
Knowing what's going on and what's what is a good thing to keep from getting taken advantage of... not saying your installer would take advantage of you, but ignorance never works in your favor. Since you have a gas tank type water heater, why are you switching over to electric for your tankless?
I Have to hold down the handle until it flushes to get a good amount of water in the bowl. No blockage as water goes through no problem. I have adjusted the water set above the water line on the overfill tube. I replaced the 2” flapper. Chain has little slack but the original handle is not long enough for the flapper to open closer to the tube. Cleaned the jets and siphon holes with vinegar. I have a septic tank. There is CLR septic safe but I’m afraid it will eat my enamel as it did in my tub using regular CLR? Could it be the handle or the fill valve floater unit not giving enough pressure? Please advise. Still have to hold handle down just to get enough water in bowl.
Could be a couple issues.. since it seems to flush fine as long as enough water gets into the bowl, you just need to make that happen without holding the handle down. 1) you may need to change out the handle, if the current one is not lifting the flapper high enough to stay up during the course of the flush. If it closes too early than it's robbing your bowl of that much needed water. Your overflow tube may be too low, not allowing enough water into your tank. If that's the case you would need to replace the flush valve and ensure the overflow tube is higher, although it must be lower than the hole in the tank where the handle comes through.. at least by an inch. Those few items should give you enough water flushing into the bowl to make the magic happen. Let me know if you have any other questions and update us on how it goes. Thanks for watching and good luck with your project.
19:03 what is this tool you're using for tightening the connections? Novice here.
That is a Press Tool. The one I have is by Ridgid. Milwaukee also makes one. There are some off brand ones thru Amazon for a lot cheaper, although I don't know how good they are, and when working with plumbing and risks of leaks/flooding, I don't cut corners. They take special press fittings. The jaws are interchangeable. The one in the video does 1/2', 3/4", 1" AND 1-1/4". If you want more info on them and how they work just search "plumbing press tool" on RUclips. I'm sure there are tons of videos out there. For a DIYer they might be out of the price range, unless you plan on doing a lot of plumbing with copper pipes. The one in the video (Ridgid RP241) currently goes for around $2,200 which includes 3 jaws, two batteries, a charger and the tool as per this link amzn.to/3BsbYOL As a DIY homeowner, if you only plan on doing 1/2" and 3/4" copper pipe, you can go with the Ridgid RP 115, mini press tool, which runs just under $1,300 as per this link: amzn.to/3ZOJKHg Thanks for watching and good luck with your projects.
Really this one best video installing an electric tankless water heater. Thank You, sorry I live in MD far from you. By the way how much do you charge?
Thank you. Let's see.. my work truck costs me about $1.35/mile to operate.. at roughly 4,834 miles to MD and back.. that's just over $6,500 for the vehicle.. then 80 hrs drive time round trip at $80/hr tacks on another $6,400.. then there's the materials and labor to install... might be cheaper for you to just move to Vegas and buy a house. Haha. If you're asking just in general here, it all depends on the situation.. how far the electrical needs to run.. the difficulty in running the electrical depending on the situation.. how much plumbing alterations need to be performed.. etc etc etc. this Spring, after I've operated the unit for 1 year I'll be doing a follow up video on how it performed in the heat and cold weather.. the overall operation with the demands of this house.. and the cost for me to install it in my house. Of course that would just be at my cost and not what I charge for an install, but it will give an idea on the bottom line costs. Do you operate an electric water heater in MD? If so, how does it keep up with your demands in the winter, since it's much colder there than here in Vegas. Thanks for watching and appreciate the nice comment. Good luck with your projects
Awesome
I Appreciate that. Thanks for watching and good luck with your projects.
thanx
No... Thank you! Thanks for watching and for the nice comment.
My water heater drain valve have the same problem with this and i watched this video twice and write the procedures. Im going to buy brass drain valve for the replacement. I hope i can do it. Nice explanation and nice video. Thanks.
Good luck. Let us know how it goes. As noted in the video you should have a section of pipe at the ready just in case, to act as a drain and direct the water out and away from causing any damage.
There is no reason to use Teflon on the fitting with o-rings.
You are correct.. normally. On the bottom of the union to the isolation valve there is a washer, but the manufacturer of these valves noted to apply Teflon tape to the fitting regardless. I was curios if this was something isolated to this brand of valves, but I checked valves from 5 other manufacturers and 3 of them also mentioned in their installation guide to apply Teflon tape. The other two didn't mention it one way of the other. I had to call one of them since their entire installation manual is just a piece of paper saying to call them for instructions. So I did. They said they recommend applying Teflon tape to theirs also. I've seen too many leaking unions on service calls where they are so corroded and coated with calcium deposits that I just take the belt-and-suspenders approach and install tape or thread sealant just as a precaution. Good catch on your end, and thanks for bringing it up so it would be addressed with everyone. But you are correct, usually you don't apply tape or sealant on fittings with a washer/o-ring, but always go with what the manufacturer says. Thanks for watching and good luck with your projects.
My toilet started to be slooow flushing, didn't completely flush and the flapper didn't want to close. I was convinced the flapper was the problem. A new flapper didn't fix anything. I had resigned myself to calling a plumber. Found this video and learned about siphon jet. I grabbed a small bristle brush poked it in the hole. Yep, it was clogged . Fixed it. Thank you Woggers!!
Yay! Another success story. That's what I like to hear. Glad you avoided a plumber.. we're expensive. Help me reach my goal of 15,000 subscribers by end of 2025 but subscribing if you already haven't. Monthly drawings to subscribers all year long. Thank you for watching and for the nice comment.
great video was the ground 8 or 10 ga?

Thank you for the kind comment.
One of the best instructional videos ever done. Clear, concise and the video was perfect. Great job sir!
I'm kind of partial to it myself also. Haha. Thank you for the kind comment.
The pipe for the ball rod gets clogged. I replace the ball rod, stopper & pipe for the ball rod. $10-15.
@franka7306 ...Yeah, parts aren't usually that expensive, and if you have the skills to change it all out all the better to you. Just an FYI for other out there, stoppers and ball rods are not universal, so if replacing, make sure to obtain ones compatible with your drain assembly. Thanks for watching, and if not already a subscriber, help me reach my goal of 15,000 subscribers by end of 2025. Monthly drawings starting in January. Appreciate your comment and good luck with your projects.
Nice video! are metal pans a better longterm solution or does the plastic do the trick?
Plastic ones are a viable solution, but metal ones are better in the long run and are more forgiving when taking the washer in and out of the pan. Thanks for watching.
Do I need a pipe connected to my pressure relief valve for drainage?
Yes. Please check your local code where you need to terminate the drain line. Some places you can just direct it to the floor. Others may require it to drain into an actual drain or to the exterior. Thanks for contributing to the comments and for watching.
Great video!!!
I think so also. Haha. Thanks for the nice comment and for watching. Please help me reach my goal of 15,000 subscribers by end of 2025. Monthly drawings all year long for subscribers starting in January. I truly appreciate you watching. Thank you!
When you know it, you can explain it. Great, made simple tutorial. What flush-o-meter would i use to convert my 20 year old tiolet to use less water more power flush?
Older toilets are difficult to reach both of those metrics.. easy to use less water, but unfortunately, depending on the toilet, it may be hard to also get more flushing power at the same time. A little toilet 101.. 30 years ago low flow 1.6 gallons per flush (gpf) toilets were mandated and they actually weren't too bad, but 20 years ago high-efficiency 1.28 gpf toilets started and to meet the EPA WaterSense program of the 1.28 gpf, manufacturers, eager to be eligible for the WaterSense label cut the volume down but hadn't really developed toilets that could actually function efficiently at the new lower capacities. It was quite some years later before they actually started designing toilets to actually work at the lower flush capacity. Soooooooooo, if your toilet is around 20 years old, you may have a toilet that just can't function properly without a higher flush capacity. You can get more power but have to use more water.. or you can use less water but will sacrifice the flushing power. Your solution may be to just get a better high-efficiency toilet. One of the best toilets on the market, for the price (and even for double the price) is the Glacier Bay Power Flush toilet available through the Home Depot. They're only around $150 and use the Stealth vacuum assist flushing component, that gives a super high powerful flush but only using about 0.8 gpf. It's on my list for a future video, so consider this a spoiler alert. I've installed them in my bathrooms in my house and they are awesome. Thanks for watching and the nice comment. I'm trying to reach 15,000 subscribers by year end 2025, so if you haven't subscribed, I would be most appreciative if you would. Every subscriber helps me reach my goal and put out more helpful content. Good luck with your projects.
I just subcribed, Uncle Brian!❤
Thank you and Welcome to The Woggers Way family. I truly appreciate your support and helping me on my goal to 15,000 subscribers by year end 2025. Hope the video helps you with your project. Again, Thank you!
Do you need to do anything after like connecting the washer to the drainage hole on the drainage pan?
The washing machine doesn't connect to anything, it just sits in the pan. The pan however will connect to a floor drain, if a floor drain is present. See my follow up video on how to connect the pan to the floor drain at the following link: ruclips.net/video/hi3t8AS6kP4/видео.html . If the washing machine leaks in the future, the pan is there to catch any water that leaks out and then that water will go out the drain, rather than go all over your floor and ruin the floor, or seep down to the room below if your laundry room is on an upper floor. Thanks for watching and your comment. Help me reach my 2025 goal of 15,000 subscribers by subscribing, if you already haven't. Plus it puts you in the monthly drawings starting in January. Good luck with your projects.

I don't have sister, what should I do?
I'll rent you mine. thanks for the laugh today
Tired of people making videos that don't know what they're talking about the guy is going way overboard
20 years in the industry.. 14 years with my own company, but I'm hoping one day I'll know what I'm talking about. I hope if you hire a service company, they'll do everything and go overboard to do it right, and not just grab your money and run. I'm not there to just do it right, but do it better. Thanks for watching. I appreciate all comments..
Bro posted his family feud on YT. 😅
100 RUclipsrs were surveyed and top 6 answers are on the board... lol. Thanks for watching and contributing.
Ahh... if only my bathroom sink clog was that pathetically simple... Cast Iron plumbing... .
So true @BaobobMiller.. nothing ever seems to be so simple. It's what I say at lease 3-4 times a day when jobs don't go smooth.
Coffee mug and mixing bowl? Thats diabolical. Im scornful, I wouldn't use them again especially if the mixing bowl is used to make stuff for guests.
Obviously sarcasm lmao 😂
Depends on your guests @shinigami268. lol
maybe... maybe not.. have you met my sister @vortexriver1071? haha
Nah I'm calling my dad or the plumber can't stand the smell or the texture
Yeah, I still haven't gotten used to it either @weeesus420.
Then take it all apart again so you can snake out the drain pipe into the wall.
On the full video, I address just that situation @jjjsss3869. Hard to squeeze it all into 60 second short tho. Thanks for watching.
Informative, diabolical pranks on sister's belongings, great step by step guide.
When you pulled off the duct tape, I didn't see any CLR come out of the rim jets. What happened to that CLR?
Good eye... there was a little glitch in the filming and had to go back and re-film the duct tape removal. Other than that, you still may not have much cleaner come out the rim jets. If you have a large amount of calcium build up, that will soak up a lot of the CLR/vinegar/cleaner. Also, if you don't pour much CLR down the overflow pipe there won't be much in there. The biggest reason, and this is something I didn't address in the video, but should have, is that a large portion of the CLR will go out the siphon jet into the bowl. You can prevent that, and keep more CLR in the raceway for the rim jets by plugging up the siphon jet. Just a wad of paper towels in a baggie pushed into the siphon jet should work. That stops a lot of the CLR from escaping. Thanks for watching and for the comment.
@@thewoggerswaydiyI wondered why the duct tape suddenly switched from gray to red. 😂 Thanks for the tip to plug the siphon jet.
Michelangelo of duct tape, true maintenance man, can probably fix air conditioner leak with duct tape.
It does have its uses. Thanks.
I wanted you to know I cleaned out my tub and I found out the thing you have to put down that thing there that drain cover I took it out and I saw so much fur in there and I took that out last week so it came out last week andthat’s what caused the drains to punch up
Tub drains get nasty @birdmanrobertlabodajr3416. I've pulled out some stuff that still makes me gag.
Boy do you go to a lot of work just to clean out a drain just take off the rod pull up the stopper get the hair out and go about your business pulling that trap is unnecessary plus the chance of it leaking because not sealing. Get a life
Wow you're mean for no reason. The guy is providing free advice for people who might not know how to do this. And y'know what? I found it to be VERY helpful. Maybe for his next video, he can show how to remove sticks up your ass! Because you clearly need it! 🤣
That’s pretty rude. He is simply just trying to help with people who are unfamiliar. I hope you heal the hatred in your heart that causes you to lash at random strangers. Bless your heart
Imagine being your age and still being miserable AF. He's actually helping people and you're out here being a babybackbitch
. "Get a life" says the lady whose life appears to be putting others down for not cutting corners. .
@BaobobMiller right? 😂 She's too damn old to be acting like this.
