Does anyone have any ideas on how to make the objects stay active all together? I'm making clothes but it removes every item I pick up
Just followed this tutorial a day or two ago, worked great. updated Game Animation Sample to 5.5 and now the AnimBP doesnt recognize our Enumerator we made here

Hey just came here to ask a question. How do i make the animations play depending on the enum value? i shouldn't make all the animations in the player's blueprint. So where should i implement the attacking anims and the logic of the weapon in
all works well, until @13:35 when it doesent blend the AO, im doing this in 5.5.1 if anybody knows any checkboxes i might have missed i would appreciate some help
oh, nevermind, I did the bone layers differently and i didnt understant that division by 5 when setting the aim offset was made to apply it in 5 different bones

Good stuff, just a recommendation: you rush through some pretty important parts, without explaining some of the steps, decisions or changes. Try to slow down and make your audience understand what you are doing and why. In my case, it's not working and my assumption is related to the fact that I do not have 2 Curves (Retarget_IK_Hand_L..., Retarget_IK_Hand_R...) in the base animation used for the duplicating step, in the beginning. Don't know why I don't have them though.

Hello, I really liked your project. Analyzing what was done, I saw that in WB_Settings, if I'm not mistaken in a function, you added a variable of the type "Game User Settings", as far as I know this is restricted, how did you manage to access it through reference?

Project does work in 5.5 for LAN, It does not however work if you are not on the same network. If anyone has that fix i would appreciate it.

If I want for example to only pick up an item of a category (only one rifle if there is many in the level) I should change the map for an array? and how would you do with this method to start with a pistol equipped from the beggining? I want to avoid the unarmed state. thank you!
If you are making an FPS like me and have a body and arms , use a normal skeletal mesh instead of child actor so you can hide the arms mesh for other viewers.
by the way, I have a question, I want to understand. Makes any difference for the pickup in this instance to be a skeletal mesh or a static mesh?
Unfortunately the system doesn't work, the reference hand objects doesn't return anything for the client for example retrieve an item and check the variable hand objects and it will return none, which will cause many problems for the future, do you have a solution?

@7:38 You can disable those pesky tooltips in editor preferences, then search for "Pin" and disable "Enable Pin Value Inspection Tooltips" by unticking the box there.

Hi, i followed the tutorial but it seems it is no longer covering the 5.5 update, will you make a tutorial in the last version?
I know I'm late to this but I'm looking for a work-around for attaching the items to the player camera actor instead of a skeletal mesh since my game is first person and doesn't have one. For example, you look around and the item stays in place on the screen. I'm sure I'm being dumb. Any tips? EDIT: Nvm I think I've got it. In the Create Hand function I've casted to the BP_FirstPersonCharacter (I don't know if there's a cheaper way to do it) and got the Camera reference from there to be the parent.

But this time, idk why, i cant find any blueprint to add into the weapons list. Any ideas what can be the reason? And the second question is, how you can add multiple weapons inside one set function. Imagine like one hand sword other hand shield. This would be fantastic to understand. Ps.: To the second point, i accidently create not a actor soft class reference. My Mistake.
