the main trick is to remove drums which has lips and they are stuck
Yes, that's right the brake drums can wear just like the shoe's, causing a lip on the edge of the drums. I've found using a hammer and slowly and softly tapping them off and being patient. Cheers

Hi there, great video .i have a corsa d 2010 with the same problem. Im having problems with the lining screws. Do they unscrew or are they pop rivets. Whats the best tool to remove them. Thanks
Thank you, I believe they are like a pin that makes it expand in the hole to secure the lining. You can push it right through and then remove it, but you may lose the centre pin. Hope this helps, cheers

After you changed this did it fire up the engine
Before I cleaned it, the engine was running lumpy, and the idle was hunting. It doesn't stop the engine from starting up.

1st had trouble getting the rusted screw out of the wheel arch lining and the reservoir bottle full of gunk like the bottle had a skin of gunk growing in the walls sadly I broke one of the pipes
That's the joys of working on car's, you could try putting some washing up liquid in the water tank to break up the gunk. Is the pipe broken at the connector? You could shorten it maybe.
@@properjob7970 thanks it was the little u bend that joins the pump I pushed the pipe up to the top of engine so I could get a better look the end cracked so I just used some electrical tape to tighten connection pipe seems to holding
Ideal, that should work OK. It doesn't really put a lot of pressure on the pipes. Cheers

That's not a zafira b zafira b has a very different egr valve and can be a pain to remove bolts snap easily
Are you confusing yourself with a diesel e.g.r valve? This is a petrol! Yes bolt's are easily broken. Thanks 👍
Thanks so much for this -just used this vid for my Corsa -and job done! I found I could only push the pump upwards (couldn't pop it right out) but that cleared the space to remove the filter (filled with gunk -exctly like yours) and now all 3 jets are working again. Thanks again for an excellent, clear explanation -great work :)

Thanks for the video, took my battery and tray off to take my off EGR only to find same problem on 3 of the bolts look completely rounded, one top two bottom, why i don't know never been off before unless its corrosion, only good one is the E10 that looks abit rusty too, ended up putting battery back and giving up, might try the 9mm socket now ,thanks.
Hi, you're welcome. I found if you tap the socket on as square as you can it should grip enough. Just be careful when unbolting them, take your time so as not to snap any bolts especially the long one. Or alternatively you could unbolt the thermostat housing and remove the lot . But try socket first. Cheers

Hi, yes I'd agree with that. I only really moved it because I'm breaking the car. I also thought it would be easier to show about the steering lock inside the barrel. Thanks 🙂👍

Hi, it could be dirty in the ignition barrel. If you have a air compressor you could try airlining it out. There are some types of spray to lubricate it with, ( not wd 40 or oil ) I had to drill one out, then turned it with a screw driver. Hope this helps good luck 👍

Ive got exactly the same car and egr and been struggling to find the right bolts for it. I bought a new cheap egr but didn't come with new bolts. The old ones are rusted and I'm scared of removing them. Have you got the exact details for every single bolt with sizes please? Or perhaps links for buying them? Garages are charging me over 400 quid to replace it and think it is daylight robbery...
Hi I took the bolts from a old scrap zafira. I think if I remember correctly the bolts were all the same thread size. It's best to take your time removing the bolts especially the top one's. Use plenty of wd 40 on the threads, where you can and turn back and forward. I'll have a look at my old bolts and see if I can find out what threads/ size they are cheers.

Hi, yes the thread size is 6mm M6 thread. The length of the top bolts are 7cm and 4.5 cm. The bottom two are 1.6 cm. That's not including the torque heads in the length. You should be able to buy these from a D.I.Y shop cheers.

This was helpful. All other videos show motor in passenger footwell. Mine (2013 partner tepee) is where yours is. I'm stuck on how to remove the panel under the steering wheel. Do you just tug at it? I have the cowl immediately above the pedals off.

@@properjob7970 cheers I was worried about breaking it but it came out OK. I got at it and had both the motor and resistor out. The motor dropped out OK with that facia still in. Tested all and the resistor was the problem due to corrosion. Cleaned it up and working again, though I think I'll get one anyway. Thanks again for sharing 👍🏻

Hi I have changed my resister with no joy no power to controls on any number setting definitely not relay as my motor was making a humming noise did this solve your problem
Hi my motor was the fault with mine. My motor didn't do anything I just put my multi meter on the motor plug on volts with the switch on full power. I didn't get a power out put. If you're motor is humming I'd say you need another motor you could remove it and put it straight on your car battery if it doesn't work then that's the problem. Usually if it's the resistor it only works on number 4 hope I haven't gone on to much 😄😂
