Thank you for sharing this deeply personal and private side of your life, this felt very validating :) I'm looking forward to more videos! Here in Germany it is pretty much the same, the therapist is cheaper, which is great, but you won't get one. They are too overloaded. Especially because most psychologists don't specialise in analysis, but in teaching you "skills" to get you to change your behavior, which CAN help some people, but not anyone I know. Most institutions are full as well, you basically only get a place if you tried to commit suicide or if you convince a doctor, that it's inevitable you try. And of course with Germany being a very work-oriented society, you get all kind of comments when you are not able to do so because of something they can't see or understand.

To be honest I'm here so often. I'm just trying to move forward I'm 23 I got plenty of life left. I can't ever make my mind exactly change but I can make some ciruemstanc better. Like I feel a calling for acting. And I'm sure I'll be depressed even while trying to achieve that goal. But at least there's something to strive for. Instead of feeling stagnant and stuck. Lots of others things happened last year and this year that had me just so so down and I still often am but I have a goal and a will to carry it out. I think that definitely helps a bit.

I'll be real I've been in like the worst depressive funk of my entire life recently and I've always felt like overly saccharine messages about suicide fall painfully flat. But your talk at the end was great. Thank you. You're easily in the top 3 of my favorite RUclips channels out there and I hope you'll make it big on the platform someday. (if that's something you want) you're incredibly smart, eloquent, and entertaining. I hope you have a good one and I hope your lil cat has a good one too!!

Life for me has become a game, to find something...anything (no matter how small)...that brings me joy. It doesn't fix anything, but it gives me just enough strength to keep going. Like leap-frogging from one tiny lifeboat to another. To be stable just long enough that when it comes time to abandon ship again, I know I can do it. Sometimes, I even catch myself lingering and having fun. <3

I think one of the more surprising and powerful anti-suicide messages I've heard was essentially, what's the rush? we're all going to die that some point and it could happen any day. I GUESS you could cut to the chase, or you could wait to see what happens next, and die another time.

Nowadays I try to find comfort in the small things... I quit thinking about the future and where I'm going. Enjoying simple games, silly memes, moments with friends, and watching niche content creators :). I wouldn't say I'm in a good place, but I'm better than I was a few years ago. Hurray, the real life Mavis Dracula is back with another great video! Just a fun fact: i think about suicide everyday without any intention to actually do it, and i thought i have something wrong with me. So i asked around reddit to see if anyone else shares my hobby, and before my post was deleted, the majority of comments for the question "How often do you guys think about ending your lives?" were "daily" or "often". Well, i guess I'm normal.

What a time to find these. Cause I’m starting the second to last arc of my series and there is a layer of insanity and existentialism that I’m trying to channel into it. My series starts so shallow and simple at first, but as our story evolves it becomes so much more intense including killing an entire society built around cloning, a sex murder cult, a brutal mafia boss who it will be revealed was a victim of that cult, and our final big bad isn’t a “powerhouse” but rather a true politician.

A true-ism of my fictional realm. Belief becomes reality. And once belief has allowed a thing to come to pass, belief becomes easier and easier until it is less belief and more fact of fiction. If you believe hard enough, you can have an effect, and once you have had an effect, it becomes harder and harder to deny you exist. And the more you can prove the fact of your existence the more it becomes true. A far more optimistic view of "I think therefore I am" in my opinion. I believe that even in the darkest of horror, there has to be an aspect of hope, or the darkness wouldn't be as terrifying, but rather another reality. One must have an expectation of normal before the horrific facts of death can shatter and unsettle you.

Life keeps trying to bury your channel alive but I keep digging it out the grave because I love your work. keep it up.

I love this! It seems like such a fresh and fun original idea, I can totally see some of the inspiration coming from other game you’ve reviewed too, like Fran Bow. I love the vide, and the weirdness and dialogue and everything, it’s great

SPOILER!!!!! The Cheshire Cats death was freaking traumatic, but seeing him come back at the end was worth it.

I always thought the face of the queen was meant to represent her sister in this version instead of young Alice herself. No clue if that's true tho obviously That's just always been my reading on it

I never got around playing this game nd I'm really glad for your video going into it a little.

I love how the Dollhouse level kind of starts off subtly creepy, then gets more in your face the more Alice remembers. Like, when I saw the first of many doors that are between a doll’s legs, I just went “…Oh.” realizing what that meant. I think even the Cheshire Cat sees how messed up things will get because during most of his dialogue, he’s sarcastic and cryptic. But once you get deeper into the Dollhouse level, all he can say is “Be careful, Alice.”

I've watched various reviews of this game before, but this is the first time I see the villain being described as a "doll maker who makes children numb to be played with". Somehow, this description makes it ten times worse than what it is (it is bad as fuck, but the words themselves give the Doctor such a darker image...).

I find Alice having black hair now being really weird because she's 19 and suddenly her hair is black like I know then as people get older their hair gets darker but Alice in the first game was clearly a redhead but now she has ebony black hair it makes no sense I actually kind of liked it I'm just wondering did she dye your hair because it would have definitely got darker but not that dark

Nice work. The combination of music and the claustrophobic feeling camera angles in the very beginning put me into a state of anxious wariness, which made the following dialogues feel even harsher than they are. You also capture the feelings of living with mental illness quite well. I can unfortunately relate to spending too much time dissasociating, too much time arguing with my inner self, too much time going through the "what's the point?" dialogue; and then being so exhausted, so beaten, that even though I need to do the things to take care of myself, I have neither the time nor energy to accomplish those tasks. For those who would like to hear it: Some days we bloom, and some days, we gloom. Please be proud of how hard you are trying.
