All but the last form will die solely from being poisoned. The last form has too much hp.

Also don't forget if the last form heals up before poison starts you won't get the kill. It is best to start recoiling right away. Last form heals quick.

@OriginalSpire thanks for the fast replies I cant tick eat so was hoping for a way around it. Guess I'll keep trying I managed to do hfd today with 10 hp 31 pray so there is hope

@@joshwoollestone7128 It all relies on your highest weapon attack. So wear your best range gear/weapon. It will be more likely to hit, but it still only has 25% chance to actually poison on a successful hit. It doesn't need to be attacking you.

You need 60 magic to wield. You'll need to splash inside 100 times per staff, if you want to stay 10hp. This will allow the spell to be used outside the mage arena.

Initially I was using the dynamite right after it spawned and ran to the safe spot with aggro. I died many times doing it this way. I tried bringing 1 at a time and if it didn't hit and I lived (or didn't poison), id leave and return to the bank. I found running down the bridge to lose aggro (use tick eating, guthix rest or food with <10hp) to only have to tank the 1st hit. Then you can use dynamite with minimal risk. Just have to wait a bit for it to wander around and to be able to get stuck on the skeleton pile. Once it does do poison, the jogre, spider and ghost will die with just poison. Just don't take too long getting the initial poison off. To avoid despawning, id say don't take longer than a minute to land a poison. You can run from the safe spot to the entrance and reset at the mage bank. I wasted many poison to dying and bringing too many. If you run out and lose aggro, you wont lose so many. To answer your question, way too many experimenting. Over 300 total most being lost to dying. Try spawning in and running out to lose aggro with 4 or 5. Place it and run to the safe spot and repeat until it does poison. Of course if it hits but doesn't poison, you can lose aggro by running down the bridge. You can reset at the mage bank if you need more dynamite to try again or for the next form. Please do note though: Deaggroing seems to reset its hp. So you can place the dynamite on it again right away.

@@OriginalSpire Yeah I think I lost about 75 Dynamite dying alone, I just assumed it was sent to the guy at Ferox, but later realized it just disappears on death. I bring max Range set up so im actually landing hit splats 80% of the time but just can't seem to land a (p) at all. I've just been exiting via the web, and then returning to Kolodion in the cave to start the phase again so I don't have to wait around for it to heal up again. How many times attempts do you think it took before you managed to get a (p) damage on each phase ? I don't care what Jagex says, its defo not a 25% chance to hit (p) lol.

@@danevans4376 So because it (wiki) says it can 'only' be damaged with magic, I went max mage set up. The dynamite deals its initial damage based on your weapon. So I think holding a ranged weapon and the gear may make it harder to hit it. It really only took me 3 or 4 to get a successful poison. The last form is where I lost most of my poison dynamite. Edit: Again this was all experimental for myself. Run out of aggro and use the dynamite on it so you don't have to try to use it while being attacked.

@@OriginalSpire Oh really ? I didn't realize it went off your style of attack bonus, I just assumed it went off the highest. I'll try my max mage, I have full Elder Chaos on the iron so I'll see how that goes. Yeah I've been able to rush out and lose agro with Rests which has worked. I'll give the mage bonus a go ! Sadly I lack editing skills, and the kills I do get are not very exciting I'd say.

50-60 at the time. It doesn't hit the best in general. Just wield the best range weapon you can (Addy/rune crossbow, etc) and hope for the best.
