How to price your handmade items? Let's Calculate How Much It Cost to Make A Bag
Thank you for this expert knowledge! I want to make a bunch a cross body bags for Christmas gifts and I just couldn't think of the best way to do narrower straps! You've given me several ideas!
I'm so glad it was helpful! 😊
Has anyone tried the compression cubes using cotton? Was it sturdy enough to compress?
I haven't tried it using cotton, but one reason I haven't done it, is because I really want my packing cubes to be waterproof. But that's just personal preference.
Genius! Travelling next month and am making these (and the curved packing cubes) after trying a made up pattern of my own. I think they will turn out great!! ❤ thanks!!
Amazing!!! :)
This is a wonderful idea. Thanks! It’s pronounced clothespin.
Thanks!
Thank you Allie, it made me feel better knowing that your husband helped you with a cheat sheet. I’m new at sewing , and measurements have not always been my strongest skill. Grateful for the information😊
You are not alone! 😆 Believe me, I always have to triple check :)
This was so helpful! Thank you
You're so welcome! 😊
Brilliant! I was looking for a way to use beautiful WPC fabric for a strap. Does this hold up well? Do you use cotton or nylon webbing?
Thanks! :) Either type of webbing will work. And yes, this hold up really well. I made these straps for a bag 3 years ago and I'm still using it. I've traveled with it tens of times and it's in great shape still :)
Strap - Thank You
❤️😊
How could someone get this pattern can let me now back
Hi! The link to the pattern is in the description of this video :)
Do you just finagle to towels every time or do you have specific measurements on how to make the pleats for them to fit so nicely in here. I’m struggling with that part, and am hoping to make lots of these for my Christmas craft event!
Honestly, I finagle my way thru it, however, I found that if you fold the towels in half (withdwise) and then fold each side to meet the half point, it's usually the 6.5" width needed for them to fit nicely.
@ Thank You so much!
Anything that snaps or is fiddly will end up on the counter or floor. My husband has never seen a drawer or door that needs to be shut or an item that needs to be put away/back in place. I like the first one, but the second one has a chance of being put back on the handle. Thank you for the tutorial. I’m saving this video.
LOL I get it!! :)
Thank you so much!
You're welcome! 😊
Thank you! I just finished this!
I'm so excited for you! I hope you love it! 💖
do you need interfacing for thicker denim or upholstery? Thank you!
Yes, nothing too thick maybe weft woven interfacing.
Yes I want to know if can you put Velcro on them instead of a snap or button
Definitely you can. Just don't make it super big. I would cut a 3/4" square and stitch it on the same place you would place the snap or button.
Good video! Aren’t you using a Babylock sewing machine? It looks just like my Lyric!!
Hi thanks! :) I don't have a Babylock. I have a Brother SE1900 and a Juki TL2010Q :)
@ aaah. It’s the brother they looks like my Babylock. I think they own/manufacture Babylock.
@@auntdee9678 most likely :) All these companies own each other hahaha
Nice work thank you for the class blessings
Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
I purchased the pattern, trying to pull up the link provided is NOT user friendly at all. Probably won’t buy another pattern from this seller. Thanks for your video!
I'm so sorry that you're having trouble with the link. Perhaps you can get in touch with Spencer directly to see if you can get the issue resolved?
Is there a pattern for these pieces?
Hi! yes I have a pattern here :) alliesewcrafty.com/products/jewelry-wallet-digital-download-pattern
@@AllieSewCrafty thank you!
I am thrilled to have this video to watch. I finally got the pattern pieced together and then was not sure about placing some of the pieces. This is my first sling so that is on me. You have made it easy for me to put it together ad I thank you for that
❤️❤️ I'm so happy I was able to help! 😊
I purchased the jewelry wallet pattern but I can not find the tutorial. Please advise
Hi Petrina, yes I saw your order. Thank you so much. The video tutorial is private and it should have been sent to your email. But if you didn't receive the email, I'm resending it to you right now. In there is the link for the video tutorial. Thank you for letting me know. If you have any questions, please email me at info@alliesewcrafty.com
What settings did you use the second time
I think it was fusible fleece but everything is in this video 😊ruclips.net/video/k1TSJwwhy-M/видео.html
Thanks for sharing! New subscriber here.
Thank you! 😊
Thank you
You're welcome 😊
The bobbins count seems a reasonable method for estimating the actual stitching time. Good suggestion you came up with there. Thanks
Thanks! Yes, it's not perfect, but it's better than 6 to 8 hours of stitching time! 😂
Great information. Thanks for sharing.
Glad it was helpful! 😊
I know this is an older video but I am so happy I found it!!! I am very new to sewing and this helped me so much with a few of my patterns that called for foam. I didn’t know what to do and now that you have shown a simple technique I am so excited to try it out. Thank you so very much!!!!!!!!
Hi! How exciting that you're going to give those patterns a try! Let me know if you have any other questions. Love to help! :)
I dont see the pattern on your site.
The pattern will be available in the next month or so :)
You turned something I couldn't quite wrap my head around into a crystal clear process. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this feedback :) I'm so glad I was able to help! :)
beautiful bag! may i ask what type of interfacings and stabilizers you used? i've made the pattern with quilting cotton and the fleece, but i'm interested to know how it would work up in vinyl and wrc. thank you for the great video!
Hi! Thank you, actually I didn't use any interfacing for this bag. The waterproof canvas (lining) doesn't need interfacing because it's stiff enough and the faux leather had enough body too, and the pleats at the bottom helps the bag keep its shape. If anything, I would have used decovil light, but that's it. Hope that helps!
Absolutely beautiful thank you for the pattern will try your design 🌹❤️👍🏻
You’re very welcome 😊 ❤️
Thank you!!
You're welcome! 😊
This video is great, thank you. Would it be possible to put in a small gusset above the zip? Between the zip and the top panel?
Hi thank you! :) Yes, you can definitely add a gusset between the zip and the top panel. I did something similar in this video: ruclips.net/video/X8nufboxcAI/видео.html
This is great! I specifically looked for this after I saw you using it for drying your vinyl pieces. I use the clips, but had them falling over on the table. However, I can’t find the measurements you mentioned were in description. And I looked on your website too. ☹️
Hi! So sorry I didn't realize the measurements were not there. I was actually correcting them and forgot to upload. So sorry. You can download the written instructions here, completely free :) alliesewcrafty.com/pages/portableclothinghanger
This is a fantastic tutorial!! Thank you so much for sharing this info! ❤️
So glad it was helpful 😊
Making something different by designing the toppers for holidays..make it a turkey..a house..an animal..a snowman or santa..how about a bird or doll house?❤❤❤😂 and don't forget to HAVE FUN😅

I like #1 I have made the others. Like the half towel ones.
😊
TY. I will try to make this. I like your design better than the two inspirations also. I'm a Sew Sweetness fan but would have made changes also :-))
Thank you so much 😊
So cute thanks
Thanks!

Awesome, thank you so much for watching it. So glad to hear that :)
Where can I purchase the in the hoop towel topper?
If you go to Designbyjuju.com you'll see she has tower topper files there for all seasons :)
I can't find your version of the pattern. Love the skinny version. Thank you.
Hi the link to the free pattern is in the description. I show you here how to make it skinny :) ruclips.net/video/Q-W349GFBIE/видео.html
I have made several of these bags. Just finished one tonight. One of my go to gifts!
It is definitely a beautiful bag 😊
I import vintage and retro fabrics
Nice! :)
Produce 6 items and offer customers the choice of customer orders. You offer the style and offer choice of fabrics and they choose and you produce and ship
I though about that!
