I am a 60 year old bowhunter going into my 37th bow season. I started using the EZ-V sight a few years ago. My summer practice routine is shooting at various unknown distances & judging my arrow groups that way. I cut out life size deer targets & pin them against my Rhinoblock. In my mind, that is hunting! If I see a nice buck coming in, I may be pulled back early. The actual shot may happen at 15 yards or 30 yards, and that is where the EZ-V excels. Walking up to a 3-d target & shooting at a known distance is not really reality. The EZ-V has made practice fun for me! I shoot better when the instinctive part of archery is not thrown out the window. I prefer my vintage EZ-V sight, but I have adapted it somewhat for me. I have the top of the V blacked out with electrical tape. The tape is wrapped around each side of the V. It goes down to the first tick mark. This little adaptation helps me get on target faster, especially for close shots.

Like the idea. Dont like the estimated accuracy aspect. I want to aim for the heart, not the middle of the whole vital section.

Nice video Aaron. You owe it to the animal to make a quick clean kill. Double lung is as good as it gets.

Quick question, what if the animal isn’t perfectly perpendicular to you like those cut outs are? Is there a way to still know the distance if that circumstance isn’t perfect?

Got the sight 2 weeks ago and was drilling tacks immediately at 20 to 30. When I backed up to 40 is when I had to start swapping out inserts to get it really dialed in. I use a near 600 grain arrow and I can say with certainty if you are on the heavy arrow train you can get this system to work just fine. Just have to play a little. So pleased with mine.

Ok great im wanting to shoot behind one and as well archery is like your favorite jeans they just fit with out snags or tight or loose so now cowboy come up with the top of line from your design of a arrow rest keep going man like your engineering keep it simple

Headed out with the V shortly. Been shooting one for about 3yrs now. Been full draw on moving deer several times. Just bleat at them to get them to stop. Frame the vitals and send it. I have put half dozen good shots on deer in the last 3yrs

Does this work for huge Canadian deer the same as a 80 pound Florida doe?

I seem to want to hug a baseball size with the V when i shoot which leaves me only using the bottom half. I like it this way though, very accurate. Do you think you will make inserts which frame smaller target like this?

Im curios where you got your numbers. The vital zone on an elk averaged between 24-26 inches where a mule deer and white tail is 10-14 inches. That’s a 100% difference in size vs your claim of only 10%. I’m truly interested in the sight and wonder how that math holds up if I’m shooting a 550 grain arrow. Maybe a different design for each game species is in order?

Please re-film this video in focus... it is very hard to watch and is very hard on my eyes. It is great content and everyone needs to understand this. Also, do you have a 180 or 175 fps insert for a longbow/recurve? A smaller/lighter frame for the sight would be in order for the longbow/recurve model? Thanks Aaron.

Great video and information!! My bow was IBO rated for 350 fps, however, I used a chronograph to measure my actual speed.....310 fps when it was all said and done. Oh, and love my EZV sight!!!

I bought this sight and struggled with it because I made using it too difficult! So, I wrote Aaron and he was gracious enough to respond with helpful advice. Basically, because I am so analytical I did not grasp what he was saying. Frankly, I was not doing as the Ranch Fairy suggests, behaving like an adult and taking responsibility for learning to use the sight and doing the work it takes to succeed. LOL … behavior that I expected of students that I teach at high school or university level biology. The fact Aaron honestly reached out to me meant that I had to do my part, which led to me successfully using the sight.

Lots of great info on a excellent sight concept. After watching multiple reviews on your EZ V I have ordered one for myself. I'll let you know how I like it in a month or so.

I have seen and watched a ton of videos on the EZV for a few seasons now. I was always intrigued. Then I stumbled across this one. First off, I appreciate "clever" people in general and this may be THE most "clever" thing I have seen that is archery related. The presentation and explanation is truly brilliant. Pins always annoyed me. I'm a short range 25-30 yards or so hunter and these days rely on just a single pin sight set to about 22-23 yards. I may still have to try this someday. It really was an awesome presentation.

Is it just me, or are you talking into another camera in the video and the camera for this vid is out off focus?
