Hello, I was wondering if your armytrix exhaust came with a dongle that connects to the obd II port? If yes, does it NEED to be there to work? Is it only there to provide power to the valves, or can a second obd II port be wired up to provide power to the dongle freeing up the normal obdII port? I would like to get this exhaust system for my LC but I am not a fan of leaving a dongle on the obdII port. I'd rather wire up a second port if it is only supplying power and not actually talking to the computer for some other reason. Any information about the dongle and whether or not the exhaust system can be used without the dongle connected, or connected to a power only second port would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, yes it needs to be connected to the odb2 port if you want to utilize the remote. Your exhaust will automatically close the valves after a few seconds of cold starting it so if you want to reopen them you'll have to use the remote. I have always left it there so I couldn't tell you what happens if you remove but I imagine it will just take away your ability to control the valves so they will stay closed by default.
