That way Scott gets to have his cake and eat it too; FNaFs 1-7 can have the original messy let's-see-where-this-goes approach and FNaF 8 onward can have a more streamlined story with lose plot points that can cleanly be Game Theory'd over the years by fans using just games, with books fleshing out the in-universe and not _explicitly important_ lore elements, like Purple Guy's name 😑. Also is anyone else irked by the explicit paranormal activity from the first game being thrown out in subsequent games?

One think I dislike is how the purple guy went from being a serial killer just using the animatronics to hide the bodies of his victims, to a guy trying to discover how become Immortal/bring his dead son back to life. I find it more scary if the possessions were an unintentional consequence rather than intentional. That's also how I always viewed the story from the third game, after years of killing kids purple guy found out the animatronics were possessed and freaked out and tried to get rid of them only for it to backfire and he ended up possessing a suit too.

I knew E3 would eventually die the same way G4TV and game magazines all died because of the Internet you don’t need to watch E3 to find out information about upcoming games and you don’t need to watch G4 or read game magazines anymore. They were good for that time, but now they’re obsolete and rockstar and Nintendo definitely contributed to the death of E3 when they chose to skip it and have their own events and soon after every other major game publisher did the same thing E3 was good in the 90s 2000s and 2010s but not so much in the 2020s because of the pandemic and video game publishers kept skipping the event altogether

I feel like FNAF lore should be split up into canon and non-canon, canon being FNAF 1 to 3 (6 could probably be an alternate ending and 4 being extra lore) and the rest of the games being just more fnaf stuff, I know it's not supposed to be split up but damn, the lore is too confusing now and it was supposed to be a random killer that kills 4 (or 5 kids) which causes said kids to possess animatronics and obtain peace in FNAF 3 or FNAF 6. Now remnant and other stuff was added and now it has became more goofy than scary and/or interesting.

Im pretty sure Mother 3 never being localized is because of copyright issues (iirc its with the music), the copyright laws in Japan are a lot different than overseas, so they'd probably have to remake all the music or pay a lot of money for licenses if they want to localize it, which isn't something I see them wanting to do

The FNAF 1 - UCN games, from a general point of view, really told a good story, albeit with some confusing details in lore. Even considering the books. But this, and the games are closer to FFPS and UCN, are rather more focused on expanding lore, trying to make sense of things, rather than the original concept of "oh, you are a random stupid guard who, for the lowest possible salary in the state, go to risk your life in the "Pizzeria of Death", where the spirits will eat you alive. Why don't you just go home, man?" Theories are good, of course. Thus, lore clung to the fact that it did not give a clear idea "by eye", you had to think, using hints and Easter eggs from games *sigh* Then came Fazbear Frights, VR games, TFTPP, Security Breach, yada yada yada... VR games would be good, just like a spin-off or feel like in Virtual Reality like those guards from the 1-4 parts game. But adding lore to an already barely-closing suitcase was the worst thing imaginable. Afton Virus, William is a wheelchair user, some random female security guard, a super mega pizzeria that appeared out of nowhere. Take the same Mimic that made the situation worse than if William had returned in a wheelchair. I'm generally silent about the "intrauniverse indie developer", I don't understand Scott anymore Okay, the new games could be a "separate part of lore," a "new generation of games," or just separated from Scott's idea with the games above. But why intertwine old characters there? Why was the Mega Pizzaplex built under PizzaPlace in the first place? Why in both SB and Ruin, when we descend, do I get the feeling that we are descending to the core of the earth?

I stopped collecting years ago. I started buying old console games in the late 90s as I had never experienced them and always being jealous of friends whose parents were rich enough to buy them a snes and games or a MD. It became my favourite hobby to buy and experience random games for old consoles as everybody wanted to get rid of them. Win win. I could get some deals that sound like fish tales these days.but over the last 5 years every enjoyment got sucked out of this hobby. Everything became toxic. It was all about the money and not about the games anymore. There is hardly a community, just elbows. I stick with my stuff and continue to buy a game from time to time, but I won't pay ridiculous prices. I got me some everdrives, modded some consoles, and emulate. To be honest I have more games than time these days.

Even before watching, I knew I had to read through the list of entries and see how many I knew. Unsurprisingly, due to how much Nintendo content I've consumed in my life, I knew most of these, even as far down as the Giygas level of the iceberg, but there are some... interesting ones that I've never heard of before, so I'm excited to jump into this and both take a trip down memory lane and learn some new things. (Honestly I'm just glad this iceberg has SOMETHING new that I haven't heard before, like Mozart and the Illuminati? Can't wait to hear about those)

I think you’re connecting your personal opinion of the movie a bit too much to the lack of a sequel. I don’t have any sort of inside knowledge, but I’m guessing the reasons are: 1. Pandemic 2. Writers/Actors strike 3. Relatively small company for the scope of the franchise, with other priorities Sure, the Sonic movies were somehow able to navigate similar issues, but I think those are far more important than what you attributed to it.

Seems like you wanted this to be a drawn-out TV series rather than a movie. The pacing and other elements worked out for me.
