This timeline is my absolute favorite. Most interesting. Loved the historical background I wish the buildings and units were more unique to the civs, there are sources there Why dont we get a Chalcolithic or Copper age before Bronze is a wasted opportunity I guess I so gonna buy this game… Minoans and Phoenicians are my favorites

The story about the battle of Marathont hat you covered is the myth version. In reality the Persians retreated back to the sea strategically. The idea was to make the Greeks believe that they won the battle, while the Persian army sailed to Athens for a direct raid. The Greek commander in charge however, was suspicious of the sudden retreat and so the entire Greek army ran back to the city of Athens on foot while carrying their full battle equipment. In the end the Greeks got there first, forcing the Persians to abandon their attack. This is where the Hoplite civilian bonus originates from. Great video though! In particular I liked the analysis from a mathematical standpoint.

Nice tutorial, thanks! The only thing I'd change is to lower the volume of the game, as hearing you over it is sometimes a bit hard, or rather, the games makes it slightly uncomfortable.

Very usefull game. the controll groups are awesome. Do you have any video focused in battle strategy???

The Greeks are one of the weakest civs in the game.... on random map that is. On Death Match they're almost invincible. But still they should have added metallurgy and perhaps even composite bowmen for the Greek. Historically they had real good bowmen despite being hoplite warfare specialists.

You should post a video showing off how you micro manage your way out of the first scenario for voices of Babylon. It is a fairly tough one for folks new to the game.
