I think you should use an orbital sander. Not a lot of rust I have seen a lot worse. Keep going it should turn out well with a nice paint job.

I have a 2007 Corolla, I’ve never jacked the car up to change oil and filter. Much safer not having to lift car when not necessary. Also, when you do need to jack up the car with a floor jack like you were using, look under the motor, there’s a round ‘ball like’ spot for you to lift the car. This way you can lift whole front end of the car then place your jack stands at both sides of your car at the same time.

the hardest part is going to be the rear hatch. those are not easy to fix. the whole bottom will need to be reskinned. left rocker is pretty easy and that is not that much rust at all.

There a Yukon knock off from Harbor Freight. Which is 300 bucks and cheaper with coupons. Yet I have one and they are great. Except they tilt over and as I have done mine changed to swivel wheels the two that don’t swivel. Yet pretty good.

I had both those year models. The accord is more sporty and reliable. The camry is super soft, everything from suspension to the way it accelerates is soft. My camry went through 3 transmissions though.

In theory the housing needs to be removed. Access is limited
