Around 6:30 it says when the engine gets to much fuel and not enough air it causes a lean condition. Its wrong its a RICH condition, not lean. A lean condition is to much AIR!
The 261 sounds like it has too many bells and whistles. Just more things to break. Ill get a 271 or 291
A 261 is a professional saw designed to run day after day and be rebuilt the 271 and 291 if something major needs to be fixed your better off just buying a new one because the repair cost will have you almost to the same price as a new saw
@michaelbradley770 I decided to just get the ms261c-e after doing research on it it sounds like it's a tank.
@@NorthCountryOutlaw i have a 180 291 and 261. The 180 is my around the house saw or if my wife comes out to help cut firewood. The 291 is modded and pulls a 20 inch bar with ease. The 261 with 18 inch bar is my newest saw and my go to saw. Between the 3 saws they average 10 to 15 cords a year
Carbulator😂
A I sucks. Can't people talk anymore? CORRECTLY!
Stopped watching with the computer voice. Cant trust that shite
Ok video but the computer generated voice ruined it.
this video is DUMB and longer than needed. It just keeps repeating the same things over and over
No chainsaw has a zero emissions rating. Even an electric saw, will be flinging oil particles off the bar. Interesting that the 261 in the US/Canada, the power output appears to be 2.8kW, whereas in Europe it’s a 3kW saw. The the older 260 used to be 2.8kW.
Ill keep my 250 any day. Probably ten years old . A couple of carbs through the years and still going strong. No disrespect to the 251 but when the saw runs out of gas you are ready for a rest anyway when cutting firewood continuously.
Why computer voice? Immediate no
391 is going to have more power due to larger displacement….nope.
I believe the 391 has more torque
Shamefully bad video
This is AI.
shit video with some stupid ai talking
Computer talking equals generic video which also equals don't watch
100% waste of time.
What about the color of the mixed fuel? If had mixed fuels around my place and not known the ratio. Blueish, greenish and in between.
Getting ethanol free gasoline is a challenge for me. Hbu?
What about 45.1 fuel 🤔
SUBSCRIBED!
useless
Good comparison video, however, the easy start feature is not featured.
251 is best,no problem whatsoever in any area! I've got the easy start model!
First time viewing your channel this is a lie the MS 250 burn gas very very good i have One and i have no problem with fuel it's good and fuel so that's not true in what you said about fuel efficient
Uk 50-1 is 20ml to 1ltr 40-1 is 25ml to 1ltr 32-1 is 30ml to 1ltr 25-1 is 40ml to 1ltr
Im so tired of Ai voices on every damn video i watch. Just butchering language one video at a time.
I ran every chainsaw there is and I think the 500. I is the best hands-down.👍
I. CANNOT. WATCH. THIS. AI. GENERATED. SHITSHOW. I’D. RATHER. LISTEN. TO. KUMELA. HARRIS. SCREECHING. ABOUT. WHATEVER. TINY. COMMUNIST. THOUGHTS. ARE. BOUNCING. AROUND. HER. EMPTY. SKULL. Is that hard to read? Yeah, well that what listening to this video is like.
I like 30:1 with high flow intake and exhaust.
They used to use 16 to 1 mix in 1960s 2 stroke because they had brass parts that were fragile.
👍
What size is the retaining nuts holden the carburetor to engine
Bahhhaahah worried about the environment ??? Yes you’re using gas .. and cutting down Mother Nature 😂😂😂
I have used both saws , the 462 is in a different class it's also about $500 more in price, a better comparison would be between the 362 and the 400 , and both are in the same price ranges.
I have several 2 stroke engines some 40:1 and some 50:1. I've been running 45:1 for many years without problems. Far more important is fresh non-ethanol gas.
From my experince on a 462 when the dogs tuch the log it will BOG within the first 3 nichers or I have a hungry chain.
Actually the MS250 has 3.1 bhp so... it's more powerful. The only advantage of the MS251 is it's more fuel efficent and has less vibrations, but you actually are paying for it, it's a lie that the price is the same for both. So in conclusion: go with the MS250
I have emptied old gas and put new. I have changed spark plug, air filter and fuel filter. I have checked the plug spark. It is blue but seems weak. It still won't start. Any suggestions. BTW the plug does not get wet. I have put gas in the carburetor and even wet the plug. Still doesn't start.
If it's not non-ethanol gas/pure gas it's likely already damaged the carburetor with gumminess/ white sticky residue that builds up on everything inside the carburetor mainly the jet's and needless not allowing fuel to flow. Remove the carburetor and remove everything that would get damaged from soaking overnight and buy yourself a gallon of chemtrol dip. You'll likely need a specialty tool to remove all the carburetor parts so they can get full access to the chemtrol dip. While it's apart check the primer bulb and connected usually clear hoses, make sure the connection points aren't split at the end of your primer bulb won't work. For future reference buy yourself a 5 gallon compressor that's capable of 150 psi and disassemble after every use and blow out all debris from the carburetor area and the entire chainsaw, the saw will always look like new and generally will work better with less failures. Used all these techniques on my MS391 for 5 year's cutting 7+cord's every summer and the saw never gave me any issues whatsoever. Hope this helps.
Wizzer remix
I disagree, I own both, and the ms 170 has been alot more reliable and cuts just as quick, despite engine size.
The ms205 is the newer version of the 025. The 251 is the woke version of the ms250. My 025 is 32 years old and still going strong. I somehow don't think anyone will say that about the 251.
Horrible video. Some of the saws used where not the saws being reviewed and one was a Chinese knockoff. Is that oil or fuel stabilizer being added to the fuel tank? Next time leave out all the fluff and just leave in the in-depth looks at the saws which I do like. And give a human a job instead of robot guy to narrate.
Never, EVER use 50:1, but 40:1. Why? 50:1 is too little and 33:1 is too much. You're welcome.
Stihl calls for 50-1 on it's trimmers
@@Danesft all stihl products call for 50:1. All stihl oil mix ins are made at 50:1. It would be nice if all pre made and mix ins were the same though.
And what is in Stihl interest? That you never buy new Stihl again? Have you ever heard of term "planned obsolescence"? It is modern desease these days. And they have perfect excuse for them. It is called EPA.
Terrible computer voice. Left as soon as i typed this comment. Terrible.
pointless.... gap is 0.2 but might be upto 0.3
Thank you for the video. It really explains a lot. 👍👍
When we do not know , we do not know . Example : most do not know chain saws are HIGH MAINTENANCE , therefore it is essential to perform inspection BOTH before and after USE of the saw.
Which is better at altitude , I cut at about 10,000 feet .?
AI narration sucks.
Dont waste $1700 on a computerized saw that you can not work on! The chainsaw was perfected in the 90s. The dealers want you to buy computerized saws so that you have to run back to them cap in hand to fix it. I have a Stihl 044 that was made in the early 90s that has 5.4 hp at 14 pounds, and stil cuts and runs like a scalded ape. Thats not a huge leap in technology after over 30 years to get the non mtronic 462.
'50:1 increases efficiency. However, fuel consumption is high in this ratio.' How does this statement make sense?
