Welcome to Lisa Lee Designs. I've been in the DIY industry for the last 17 years in one form or another.
My story started with a passion for making jewelry which lead me to my first antique store which lead me to refinishing furniture and thrifting to resell preloved items. Of course that turned into refinishing furniture just as Shabby Chic became popular. Which turned into selling in two vintage boutiques in the world-famous Orange Circle in Southern California, starting my own wedding rental company with a huge warehouse of rentals to opening my own gift boutique and creative space to sell a very well-known brand of Chalk Paint. I went to Oxford England to meet the inventor of this paint and took a weeklong workshop from her along with other boutique owners from around the world.

This turned out great! Me and my husband are also going to build a pumpkin arch, so the addition of chicken wire is clever. Happy Halloween!
Yes the chicken wire was a must! I did rebuild this arch first without the chicken wire and then took it all down and added the chicken wire "sleeves" around the pvc pipe. It was a lot easier to attach all the decor than just a piece of pipe.
Pro tip, don't use blow mold pumpkins, use craft pumpkins instead. they're easy to carve and they're lightweight. Blow molds are heavy and don't really stick that well. And while the only downside to craft pumpkins is the sun fading them, there are work arounds for that. I find using spray paint on them works the most effectively.
Horrendous. Holy cow ruined beautiful historical furniture into gaudy millennialism. This stuff makes my skin crawl.

This looks fantastic! I’d like to try General Finish Milk Paint in Linen, but have a whitewash look. Yours appeared that you could see the wood after one coat of paint. Did you add water to the paint? Thank you
I did add a little water. It helps to smooth it out.
