Yes you should try it! I can’t remember how long it took me, and everyone works at different speeds, but you could break it down into different stages depending on how much time you have, ie measure and plan, then cut it all out, then sew it together. This is also a good idea if you don’t have a dedicated sewing area and have to pack everything away between sections.

And thank you for leaving a comment ☺️The heavy denim will be nice and hard wearing☺️ You probably know this already but just incase, remember you will need a bigger (thicker) needle for the heavy denim a universal needle will probably break you may also want to use a thicker thread so it’s nice and strong. Have fun sewing I’m sure your Newfie will love their new bed! ☺️

@@s79design Oh, and I also ordered a 48" zipper and a 60" zipper, JUST IN CASE - ha! I'll probably use the 60" (but in the words of Mom and Daddy when we were growing up, WE'LL SEE). They're the heavy-duty brass ones. :o)

Yes this would work well with fleece, just check that any stretch goes horizontal round the neck band so it can stretch over the head 😊
