Connecticut has miles of coastline, convenient proximity to NYC and Boston without having to be affected by their mess and overcrowding, but convenient enough to visit, take in shows, etc. And then go back home to a nice town or city in CT, famous Universities including Yale, UCONN and others, 2 AHL Hockey Teams, 2 Baseball Teams in Hartford and Norwich, Casinos, 8 Vineyards some with their own restaurants making you feel with some that you're in France, 178 Golf Courses both public & private, Museums including British Art Museum, Hartford Antheneum and Yale Art Museum, History such as famous First In Flight in Bridgeport Ct with Gustave Whitehead in 1901 2 years before the Wright Brothers (10 eyewitnesses including a Newspaper Reporter), birthplace of Charles Goodyear of the Goodyear tire and Rubber Co. Great restaurants throughout the State including famous New Haven Pizza that movie stars from NYC send cars up to bring back to NY, great vacation spots such as Mystic Seaport, Country Inns & really nice Hotels along the coastline and also rivers.....should I go on??
Winter in Connecticut is quite fine and not over whelming at all. We don't have extreme weather at all, and that goes for all year long. The cities and towns have all geared up for keeping the roads and highways clear, and we rarely have any extreme weather such as tornados or hurricanes, although we do have one of them once every 10 years. Snowstorms are handled quite nicely, where everyone hunkers down while it's snowing and then waits for the highway crews to do their job. In a good way, this Winter of January 2025 is cold enough where the ponds are finally freezing over and people can go skating. And the coastline gets quite picturesque with the snow falls.
Connecticut has mild weather compared to other states that have destructive weather, great museums in Bridgeport New Haven Waterbury Hartford including Yale Art Museum and the British Art Museum, fabulous restaurants including being Pizza Capital of America, 4 sports teams (2 Baseball Teams & 2 Hockey Teams), probably the best Hospitals and neck so care in the country, 4 Race Tracks (NASCAR & Formula included, 1 frequented by Movie Stars who live in Conn.), Famous Universities including Yale University and National Champs UCONN & Quinnipiac U., very convenient to NYC and Boston without having to live inside the nonsense of those cities, 8 Vineyards some with their own restaurants that make you feel like you're in a French Chateau, history with the First In Flight with Gustave Whitehead who flew 2 years before the Wright Brothers, and he did it in Bridgeport Connecticut, famous Charles Goodyear was born in New Haven, US Naval Submarine base in New London, US Coast Guard Academy also in New London, Connecticut has miles of beaches and 4 ski mountains. 2 Large Airports with International Flights.....should I go on? Numerous parks and a Zoo, 2 Maritime Museums and 3 Casinos. Connecticut makes it easy to live and raise a family.
As a resident of 57 years in CT I would question why anyone would ever want to move here, unless the job pay was incredibly lucrative its just not worth it. Lets start with all the cons: High cost of living, extremely high taxes, high crime rate in every major city, long cold winters, crazy weather fluctuations, overcrowding and pollution. One more thing, if you are a conservative gun owner, they will hate you here. The pros: Beautiful fall colors and you can make a lot of money if you can find the right job, best pizza in any state bar none, close to the ocean. I purchase ten acres in North Idaho and will be moving out in 2027, had enough of the democrats and their robbing us of our money with little to nothing in return
Nosh. Just learned a new word. Is that used often on the east coast?
It's a Jewish term. I grew up in NYC and you pick up terms from other cultures pretty quickly
Hearing the gas prices as someone living in LA 😂 Connecticut here I come! But seriously, might be moving there that’s why I’m here. Thanks for the info
Thank you! Very useful content!
I am interested in renting at three or four bedroom and offered Conecticut. Can you please help me
Sure. Email me to schedule a Zoom call
I miss Stamford CT. Had the best of everything a local city can offer.
I like to think so. For me it is a mini NYC
Are there any neighborhoods in Stamford that you're curious about? Let me know in the comments below ⬇
I live in New York and don’t know the neighborhoods in Stamford, but I’d like relocate to Stamford to somewhere that’s cheaper than what’s in video, something in the 450-500 range, is there any neighborhood that you know of that offer those prices?
It sucks. It’s about to start Tuesday, October- May
At least condos maintain their value in CT
True - I rarely see values go down. It's really a matter of how fast you will gain equity - not necessarily lose equity.
What car do you drive? I'm new in town from California.
my partner insists on me getting a Tesla to save on gas
Easy Peezy! Well mostly. Love the place but seriously need to restrict cars in the downtown areas. Way too many cars for my taste. At least once a week for a day or two on the weekends make the central shopping and entertainment “sections” pedestrian zones. Let people feel safe riding their bikes there. That’s the way forward for post car centric cities. Make it a priority to deal with the consumption of alcohol especially at Cummings Beach and the loud music. Perhaps the same goes for West Beach. Last time I was there the place was seriously out of control and families would avoid the place blighted by throngs of drinkers and unreasonable levels of noise. It used to be a really beautiful beach quiet, peaceful. Change the laws and stop permitting loitering and gawking, too. Keep the parking areas there paved/potholes free. Never saw so much beer drinking at any other beach. Not really the beach but the boardwalk at the head of gorgeous sandy areas. Feels like the drinkers are on the beach. It was years ago when I experienced those things and maybe things have changed for the better.
I live in Connecticut I love ❤️ it
Over the last ten years or more it seems we have barely ANY Winter at all!
snow is becoming almost a novelty up here! I feel like it comes in four year waves
Lived and raised my baughter there and I am here to tell you to live a good lifestyle there you need to make 150k at least to afford decent housing and still have a life. When I was ready to buy, I left Stamford
Stamford is def NOT cheap. I love it because I have easy access to NYC but it's quiet at night in Newfield
*8 counties of Connecticut:* 1. Fairfield County 2. Hartford County 3. Litchfield County 4. Middlesex County 5. New Haven County 6. New London County 7. Tolland County 8. Windham County 🐿

Sure ! I plan on making more videos but I’ve honestly been very very busy. The summer is our busiest season for sales here.
Connecticut pros and cons first of all Connecticut is a total shit hole mostly cons very few pros you said prose weather I think the weather sucks personally summer to humid winter too cold fall to windy spring allergies roads are among the worst on the planet absolutely disastrous bumpy as hell very corrupt Democratic state they take almost all your money in taxes the other guy commented communist state and he is 100% correct energy bills oh my God among the highest in the country and the people are brainwashed in the state they will vote for Democrats no matter what they have no minds of Their Own they sleep walk to the polls and you say one of the most diverse that could be bad that means taxpayers flip the bill bombarded by illegal aliens I could go on and on and on but you get the point.
Such a cool little hidden area. Idk about the schools but its a fantastic place for single 30s and 40s.😊
Hi! Great video. I am relocating from NYC to Stamford this month. I would love to learn more about the cultural diversity in CT. What's your insight?
My fiance' grew up in Stamford, it is a high crime city but compared to NYC it will probably seem completely safe to you. Be prepared to pay some hi taxes on everything here

It's very expensive and the schools suck. I know, I'm from Stamford.
Stamford is not a cheap place to live that's for sure
@@relocatetoconnecticut Nope. That's the problem.
@@relocatetoconnecticutCompared to Northern Virginia it's really cheap! 😊
Connecticut has more police officers, per capita, than anywhere else in America, a genuine police state
Not sure if that's true, but if you're taking care of your own business, and not breaking the law, what's the diff?
Connecticut is known as California East
I can't wait to move back to Connecticut ❤ miss it so much after 2 years in Florida. Hoping for 2025.

And I hear the homeowners insurance and the car insurance is getting out of control?🤷
Insurance costs are rising everywhere but it is national news how much Floridians have been affected unfortunately due to circumstances beyond their control
