What Oversimplified Got Wrong About WW2
Why isnt anyone talking about the song?
about germany u lie
Also, Oversimplified like almost nobody else mentions the Italian front which was also very interesting
Japan actually got backlashed as during negotiations a Russian diplomat leaked the demands which had Russia pay concessions which made the other major powers see Japan as the aggressor and Japan woudk face huge problems after the war and gained barely anything as they already controlled Korea and did not get Manchuria yet
you didnt mention that france and britain enacted an arms blockade to stop materiel from entering the country
Well to be exact ussr won The space race twice and the moon landing was never their BIGGEST part of their program. Sure they was racing about it but they won the space race twice allready thats what mattered to them most. And to be more exact space race wasnt between ussr and usa. It was germany vs germany. If u know u know
The soviets just got more pentup lol and then they won the war 🎉
The point of the video is not to go into every detail. It's to give a broad Strokes overview of what happened. You can't get into everything cuz world war II was a massive 4 year conflict with multiple things happening all at once. It's impossible to cover everything.
Germany is wrong. They were disturbed by Russia's lose due to their belief in the yellow peril, and tried recreating the alliance with Russia over that shared fear
GDR was poorer than the FRG because by the time of unification (or if to be more precise, annexation of GDR), its industry was intentionally destroyed as it happened in the RF (Russian Federation)
"This isn't yours ese" 😂😂🤣
Poland literally had to beg, bribe and blackmail their way into Nato
Was literally 3 on 1 . America is built on foreigners 😂😂
Rise of nation 😂
Now its time to be taken again.Usa protected Denmark in the war that's why US got a base on there. They want to protect it from the Chinese now.
And they say to this day china still has no clue.

Japanese empire lost mongolia
Turkey supported the republicans but never sent any aid to them
Bagration was in the north
Did you forget the German troops in America
Only polish invasion worked
Spain stayed “neutral” but favoured the axis and often shared information with the Germans
Ofc they had ideological sympathies to the axis, but when it was clear Germany would lose they began pandering towards to the allies and even considered joining the war against Germany in the late stages of the conflict.
@@HistoryNow08didn’t they also give them arms?
So tge japanese lost germany tge war
DEI garbage
?
The problem is, that this was no real annexation but a reunification. So, if other countries would react on this “annexation”, those other countries would be seen as aggressors. The only reason against this reunification was the treaty of Versailles.
Many people have no idea how big of a joke russia actually was during this war
Lee may have been a brilliant tactician but Grant was the better Strategist (and that is why the North won)
The North won because they had more population and resources, and when the war turned into a war of attrition they were better suited to wage it for long periods of time.
@HistoryNow08 You need more than population and ressources to win a war (there are plenty of cases when an army won against an opponent with more ressources). What you need is a way to effectively mobilise those ressources, which is what generals like Grant did. Robert E Lee (and the vast majority of Confederate generals) made flashy tactics and a had a very "honorable" idea of war, where everything was about attacking and defending, most of their flashy maneuvers won battles, but accomplished little in the grand scheme of things. The Northern idea of the Civil war was to get it over with as quickly as possible. And Generals like Grant or Sherman understood that, and applied it in their strategy. For ex, Grant's victory at Vicksburg split the Confederacy in half and led to the capture of a confederate army (around 30 000 men), It was a huge blow to the Confederate war effort. At Chattanooga, one of the two major armies of the Confederacy was routed and the Union took Tennessee, which would be followed by Sherman's march to the sea. And the Petersburg Campaign was the final nail in the coffin for the Confederacy, as they would surrender shortly after.

You forget that it wasn’t just naval blockades preventing the exportation of cotton. The confederacy had blockade runners to pass through. The confederate states themselves put an ultimatum on France and the UK to either help them, or the cotton flow to Europe would stop. This was, frankly, a terrible decision for the confederacy as Britain and France refused to recognize the confederacy and got their cotton from east India and Egypt instead.
Italy didn’t outright WANT the land to annex themselves, they wanted Austria to be a vassal state.
