Union Pacific Military Train Leaves Wyeville, Wisconsin Heading EB on the Adams Sub
A bit of a detour on the way home yielded a sought-after catch. For the first time ever, we caught a moving train near Wyeville, WI.
It was more than that.
The DOD move seen here was also the first catch of a UP train on home rails in Wisconsin and the first unit military train to date. A lot of firsts.

Trains with military equipment rolling over the country are prophecy of something really nasty to happen.
I’m fairly certain this was Army or National Guard equipment being moved to a training site out of state. This sort of move is common.
@@roadrailmediagroup I am happy to know this, because in place where I live, transports of military equipment of all kind move only eastbound all the time, vanishing across the border and never coming back.

That’s a great question. It loaded at Fort McCoy, but that was all I know about it. And you got that right about the interstate. I tend to exit 90 at Tomah and follow the Tomah sub for quite a ways if I am heading towards Madison.

Great video! You have an eye for spotting good locations. I like that you capture the locomotives and enough of the train to give an idea of the loads without drawing out the scene by showing the whole train. Showing the whole train when it is moving at track speed isn't too bad, but I hate it when the train is crawling along. Keep up the good work and I hope your channel prospers.
