This is a really great analysis. There was a lot of nuance that I felt but really can't describe (especially when prepping for big boss battle). ...Also, from a different perspective, Cloud was a really being a dick to Tifa, and she should be commended for patience.

I already thought her and Cloud’s story was sad, but this video-the editing, the dual-screen, the music, etc.-Idek how to describe this feeling as accurately as I feel it…. I’m just so sad. I feel so terrible for Cloud and how he’s handling her death. How he began to warm up to her and get comfortable opening up, just for it all to be taken away from him. I just want the best for my closed-off, emotionally hurt boy. ☹️😞

When I first played this on PS1 I really wished Aerith didn't have to die. She's such a beautiful character a REAL IDEAL fantasy character. Then I played FF7Remake; I remember there's a scene where she appeared like a different timeline Aerith came to see Cloud at her flower garden and she said "But whatever happens. You can't fall in love with me" And I was like oh sht the flashbacks when I was still young playing this coming through my memories and suddenly like someone is cutting onions beside me. Even at Remake I still wished she didn't need to die 🥹

When I was little, I liked Tifa and Cloud very much and I ship them. Because Tifa seemed very badass to me. But when I played the game again, I realized how big a role Aerith had in opening Cloud's heart and they seemed to make me feel safe. I think the two of them really complement each other. They are totally soul mates

this is the most detailed analysis I've ever read, as someone who felt lead on to believe aerith could survive by the whole "defy fate" thing they hyped up in remake, and to just have her die again i was really bumed out.. but the fact these characters will relive the same story into eternity is well, thought provoking. i have a feeling part 3 will deviate from this but IM REALLY HOPING we get the good ending and not an advent children 2.0.

When it comes down to it, the relationship options are the PLAYER'S choice. If we look at Cloud, who he is, what he's been through, what he needs, and who he truly wants, that points to Aeris being the one for him. He would choose her a thousand times over.

seeing cloud and zack scene fall into church and meeting Aerith side by side, i notice that zack didn't fall into her flower bed as cloud did, cloud fell straight into her heart while zack didn't.

I don’t know if anyone noticed but maybe it’s just my speculations and mind gymnastics as Cloti love to call it but in the scene when Aerith says she isn’t scared of ghost bc she has Cloud with her, HER bodyguard and grabs his arm, Tifa jealous of their clones and Aerith straightforwardness, grabs the other. I can’t help but wonder about one little detail you see Tifa grabs Clouds arm without that spike armor on his shoulder but she still keeps distance and just holds him lightly, as Aerith who chose the spiky armor arm, she still leans in, head almost falling softly on that thing. I can’t help but wonder if it’s intentional like; Tifa, tho has easier to get to Cloud she just doesn’t know how and is blind on the opportunities life have given her, making it harder by herself: incompatible. Aerith on the other side tho has harder to get to him, and life isn’t making it easier, she still isn’t afraid and knows when the opportunity or chance happens to grab it and use it: compatible. But maybe that’s only mine thoughts, what do you fellow Clerith fans think?

Zack's church scene, Aerith is a young 16-year-old, so she's not use to getting close to guys and that is why she is more distance. Cloud in church, Aerith is now an adult and more experience to being around guys.

I would love a ff7 rebirth analysis

The way Aerith talks to Zack, she seems to be cold around him and that is not the Aerith we know. If Zack survived, he would be the one protecting her and not Cloud. The story would be totally different. Need to do Rebirth and Reunion when it comes.

I use to learn of the endless, and pretty well made portraits of personality symbolism some have recreated and published in the web - not this case -, but I tend to play it all down to certain point where it is clear the amount of non perverted nor disturbed authenticity present in Cloud's character. For the record, authenticity does not mean neatness, nor anything as near as a blank page, like a very begining of everything. Cloud is a social kid growing up, tending to go far. But, as the best role player perhaps ever being put in place in a game as he is, everyone is thirsty about appropriating his role first, and then to project on it. Is'n it? After all, who is entirely blanket in the midst of a passion? Which being can be some kind of non-reminiscent person of their culture, their references, their mere and loud inexperience during their first, or even subsequent love stories? Come on, this story is georgous as relatable as it is, precisely because of its realism ^^ And that is something that may hurts that ones who deny it, or try to.

The Clerith fanbase must work a little harder guys. Liking, comenting and sharing this kind of video and having health/non toxic discutions. I say this because the cloti's videos have much more engagment in youtube and instagram and really triggers me open youtube and seeing Cloti's videos sugestion even when i don't even click on then XD

said anything about Tifa, but I always find it strange to see your boyfriend grieving the death of other woman, okay that woman was supposed to be his best friend but he never contact u later on, pushed you and the other friends away while remaining stayed in the place that held the most memories between him and the dead girl? Even on Tifa's dating route, the conversation usually revolves around Aerith, if not they would talk/fight about their past tragedies. while Tifa is depicted always jealous of Cloud and Aerith's relationship, Aerith subtly pushed Tifa and Cloud to be together (did anyone notice?) perhaps she hoped cloud will have someone at his side after she died. In conclusion, I feel sorry for Tifa, she was a beautiful, strong, independent woman who could defeat any strong enemy, but they turned her into a rebound.

Now that Rebirth has been released, it would be awesome if you add to this video how Cloud is the one who cuts the physical distance to get closer to Aerith. She started to be close to him (to a distance that Cloud doesn’t mind) and touched him every opportunity she gets (sign that she really likes him), to be Cloud the one who touches her by hugging her, protecting her with his own body, and touching her face. Plus, Cloud smiles many many times only with Aerith. She really knows how to break Cloud’s wall. 🥰🥰🥰

You know , I used to hate Clerith CP when I first start to play OG FF7 ( Yes , even my friends hate Aerith and prefer Tifa ). Yea , I was Cloti fan before when back then. But after I complete FF7 Remake . I regrets my Cloti shipping and prefer Clerith shipping , because while Tifa is a perfect woman ....I feel like...there's no chemistry between her and Cloud of course...something seems really off...instead I find that Aerith has chemistry with Cloud , and whenever Cloud is with her. He sees very relax and happy with her and of course , he is willing to do anything for her and doesn't ask anything. No wonder they both attract each other and fall in love. I gotta say it again. Boys prefer Tifa *REAL MAN Loves Aerith* I really wish this time both Aerith & Cloud have a happy ending so don't let us down SE!!

Thank you for this compilation! I honestly needed this. Can never have enough of their love. I completely missed the fireworks motif we see throughout their time spent together which only further pushes their narrative since later on that specific date on the Ferris wheel showcases fireworks which are now associated with Aerith meaning that date is meant for her. 💘 Also with the look forward not back I wonder if we can just apply that towards this whole game to begin with aka a new beginning not the same old ending perhaps??

Even the whole promises theme speaks huge volumes about both couples. Cloud and Tifa is based upon a relationship formed around a childhood promise. That promise involved Cloud evolving to become Tifas idea of a romantic partner-someone strong and famous who could save her when she was in a bind. Now that No Promises to Keep is out it almost immediately contradicts everything Cloud and Tifa is about-Cloud and Aerith dont need to promise anything to each other because they know they will find their way back to one another regardless of the circumstances-even death

Aerith can break Cloud's barrier.

Just got to the end of Rebirth. Once more people get there and see the church date we will get more Clerith fans. Specifically the part where Cloud goes “You’ll have to give me a harder one next time” “Next time?” “Yeah, next time” Aerith smiles and replies with “At least now I know where you and I stand” There’s no ambiguity there. Cloud wants another date and Aerith is happy to hear this, saying she understands where their relationship stands.
