Time for our last walk of 2024!! When I realized that we hadn't been out this way at all this year, and Merlin never, it was the only option 😊 Starting out from Meldon, I found this walk a lot tougher than usual with the fitness I've lost this year! Great to be out, please excuse the wind noise 😬

Only through looking back do I remember just how much we've done! Oti competing in Rally, being selected for next year's Crufts team, joining the Toller display team at the game fair.... Merlin went from a very scared pup to a happy, confident young dog. Competing in Rally obedience, braving boats, trains, busses and anything else we've come across! Please look back and enjoy just what a wonder...

I do love this little legged dog!! Merlin is just the happiest pup, though inclined to be a worrier. He's loving playing with a dumbbell, now that he understands what's wanted. He really does make me think though, altering how I train as we go. Sometimes I get it wrong, and that's ok - anytime we train we're all learning! I’ve given up humping kayaks around! I bought a CTug, which is great for transporting an inflated kayak, and an Eckla Rolly which can be used to carry your kit on public transport and the inflated kayak around locks etc.

Wow! Do you always get this much snow so early in the winter? Lol, this is not how I picture Great Britain! ☃️
No, we don't usually have much this early - it was also only forecast for the moors, which is why we weren't prepared lower down! Scotland and higher parts of Wales will consistently have deep snow each year - living in Aberdeenshire I'd put snow tyres on, and just except that we'd be snowed in at times.
