Roadtrek Ralph
Добавлен 20 сен 2018
Hello viewers. I just make silly videos of me and my Roadtrek class B RV. Sometimes I make a video of a classic car or hot rod. I used to have many videos with a whole lot of subscribers. I'm a weird person so periodically when my channel starts to grow, I just delete all my videos and start all over again from zero. I hope you enjoy the vids.
Boyd Coddington Steering Wheel
I ordered this old school Boyd’s Steering wheel on eBay. Arrived from a seller in Japan. I thought I wouldn’t see this for another 2 weeks. It arrived super quick. I plan to use this on my 1986 Boyd Coddington Aerostar.

Birth of a Barn Find

Ever wonder how a car becomes a barn find? Well I hope this video will shed some light on how a barn find is born. Thank you for watching.
Protecting my Boyd’s Wheels

This is a quick video showing how I added some keyed bolts to keep potential thieves from simply popping off the center caps from my Tri Fan Boyd’s Wheels. From a scale of one through ten I think the job came out to be a solid 5 1/2. Not that great but they work.

Customizing a hibachi grill
Просмотров 114 месяца назад
My buddy Pancho lost the original grills to his Hibachi; he left them at his fishing spot in Spring Branch, TX. I have a cheap $65 welder that I bought second hand and decided to make a new grill for the hibachi. I'm not a professional welder but it came out ok, ready to cook with.

Boyd Coddington Aerostar let the fun begin.

I always wanted a Boyd Coddington Hot Rod but as any car guy knows, they are hard to find and when they do come up for sale, they are very expensive. I found this Aerostar in Chino Hills, CA and now it resides in good ol Texas! San Antonio that is! Let the fun begin!

Ocean gate cut corners Titan

This is just a video of my observations watching many videos covering the tragedy of the imploded Titan submersible. This video specifically shows how the Company cut corners.

Is the shower pan in the kitchen? It looked like it was right next to the toilet.
If someone is chillin in the bed they can easily exit the van through the back door.
Any chance you have the inside heater box and controls for sale?
I held on to it for over a year and then before I knew it, I just had way too much stuff laying around. It went to the scrap yard.
Thank you! Finally someone explained and showed how it works! I’ve been looking at pictures of roadtreks to buy, but couldn’t understand how the showers worked. Thank you!
Hey, as far as crimping hoses, recently built hoses for my 1972 GTS and it was only $40 for the shop to crimp them. Big pain was having to drive a couple hours to the shop I have used for years in the Midwest. Of course, found a shop next town over that would have been 45 minutes round trip, save them for the next time I build hoses 😂
One piece of advice…lighting. Harbor freight Item 56869, And hit up Menards, Walmart or Amazon for a box of 100 watt equivalent LED 5k light bulbs. Cheap way to light your garage up and pretty easy cheap and easy to install to rafters or even drywall anchors and drywall screws. I added a couple HF strip lights Item 59506 in my 12x24 and it’s nice and bright without blowing breakers lol Love the hot rod btw. Looks bitchin’
So maybe do what you say, and answer the most important question. WHICH ONE GETS COLDER!!!!!!?
Comparing the Vintage Air installs Ive done to the one Classic Auto Air; I would have to say Classic Auto Air is colder. its been 4 years and still freezing cold.
Just showed hubs your tour because I really like your attitude! Then I spied the tattoo.. thank you for your service sir! 🫡
Shopping for one now !
Swiss Army knife of vans ? 😊 Learned a lot from this thank you !!
Thank you !! No body shows the shower ! And where did that magic stall appear from !
You only need to run 12V to the solenoid on a switch and turn it on over 30 mph and off when you go below. The speed sensor is there to control the 30mph on/off. The sensor goes from very low ohms to 2000 ohms when driving. A switch that turned on at 2000 ohms could do that but I don't know how to make it so I just turn mine on/off manually. I have the computer but it started turning on/off at 65 so I just over ride it. Gear Vendors tech line was of no help. The guy actually said they only care about race cars at a track. If you shouldn't use it below 30mph I don't see the great use for gear spliting on the road. My C6 auto is in 3rd and final by then. I turn mine on on the freeway on ramp and off when I get off.
Does the control box show any display if it's not at a certain RPM? I hooked mine up to a power source and ground but it looks dead. Should it be lit up?
Good question, the control box has red dots that light up. One dot lights up when the unit has 12 volts and another dot will light up when the OD kicks in. Other than that there might be some speed indication light but that all I noticed.
How do we check the oil in the onboard generator?
Ben there done that! I could never get the vibration out of the drivetrain. Fixed the problem with a 700 r4.
#3 ;)
I changed the shower head so it had an on/off button
I know this video is old but thank you!
Restomod Air owns Classic Air as well. They are more for the major custom side of things.
Is this found footage? 💀
I think it was a creative way to install the stereo ! If I see something I don't like at a car show I keep it to myself because I think it's rude to disrespect a man's vehicle.
If it's your car, do whatever you want and don't care what anybody thinks. This Camaro owner is probably much nicer than me. I would of told him to F himself.
woww
I guess it depends on which airport you're traveling from 😮
I went to the junk yard and got a new real spare tire, jack and handle for $25.00 Can’t believe the Toyota and Subaru provide it???
It does use to much water
I just purchased a 1997 Roadtrek 190 Versatile and I have no clue how to operate anything or if it even works. I am working first on removing the mold and humidity. However, I have a question that may read stupid, where does the water that drains in the middle of the floor goes to? Is there a tank below that stores that water and we have to empty it with the grey? Does it go in the same tank as the water from the kithcen faucet? Is it dumped on the floor outside?
It goes in the grey water holding tank along with the water from the sink. It's supposed to be emptied at a waste station; such as a campground.
🚐🏕 Gracias for your Roadtrek vids 👍 I love the Classic Roadtreks and soon will find my Used Reliable reasonably priced rig 🚐🏕 Yes, I know she will need upgrades and maintenance upkeeps but that’s ok. I am not a big fan of the newer outrageously overpriced models they are making today. To me, my opinion 🎃✌️ the original Roadtrek vans are Chevy or Dodge not Mercedes. I took notes from your vids 😎 very informative. Gracias ✌️🏕🚐
Vintage air now gives you a new plastic glove box insert. Its much better than the old cardboard.
You dont have to run the hoses inside the fender in vintage air. They give you enough hose to route them however you want.
Lol. Ran across this video because i was thinking of vintage air. Was surprised you hit on them because im in s.a. and was going to buy local.
A couple of years late to this video but you did a great job on it. Thanks for the pointers. GSG 🙂
Do know the wiring for the 6 wire (white) cable that somehow reduces to the 2 wires at the solenoid?
Yes, I mention it in the video. I don't remember off hand but I do mention it.
@manuelalvarado8359 the colors u mention are in reference to the cable that comes from the signal generator, whereas im just trying to figure out which wires feed the OD shift solenoid. Thanks
All your observations are precisely correct !
Interesting video! It looks like Stockton Rush was winging it. Dangerous.
Hiding hoses is EXACTLY what the people buying the systems asked for..... Many want to open the hood and see as little anything, other than engine.
Sir, with respect, you are not a nobody. You probably know alot more than me.
There is an old saying, "cheap is cheap" and I think Mr. Rush just proved it. I just feel bad for the four passengers.
I called also. They acted like I was wasting their time.
Thanks for the video. Trying to decide between the two.
Stockton Rush rushed.
😂
Common sense tells me to cross the street when I see a guy like you
Solid points, man. You made them.
ANYONE WANT TO PAY ME FOR JUMPING OFF MY ROOF WITH MY UNDERWEAR ELASTIC?
We ran into an issue with grade 8 bolts that we got from a sister plant (aluminum extrusion)that was shutdown in Michigan and it turns out that they were from China and were defective and would break under stress so the whole lot we received was thrown out. The only reason we knew where they were from was the documentation from the shuttered plant. Something like the Titan should have used a system that is used when building submarines where each bolt is tracked from manufacturer to EOL of that bolt. I don't care how strong a bolt is they stretch with use and if they are used in a blind hole you can be tightening down on the bottom of the hole and not the sealing surface. I have fixed many hydraulic leaks due to this problem.
The view port was rated for 1300 meter deepth. They go to 4000... what could possibly go wrong. Will we ever recover the debris from the ocean floor and find the failure point?
In other news it's been reported water is wet
If ur catching the little corners he is cutting imagine wut other corners he has cut?
I cant wait for oceangates newest model?
Janky Death Trap 2
Should have been a TORQUE wrench
Bolts had nothing to do with imploding. The bolts could have been removed at that depth
💯
@@DanielJohnson-ec8rk they wont mess with evidence.... If they wanna study what happen doesnt make sense to manipulate it
@@mok822 said nothing about them messing with evidence. Just pointed out that torquing the bolts is completely unnecessary
@@DanielJohnson-ec8rk you said they could have removed the bolts, thats not likely
