    VERY important. When installing the fittings, you MUST give it 24 hours for the sealant to dry or you can have a leak. People have reported this. The instructions clearly say to wait 24 hours but some people dont know how to read. lol I did all my connections when I had a few minutes of spare time as it only takes a few minutes to do. Then when I had the day I put everything together.

    I have that bottom cover also but mine is not a Z71 just a LT, also for my oil filter I use 2 red party cups so the oil falls in the cup and doesn’t make a mess and doesn’t get all over my hands.

    Hey, so I was working on this job today and had to do what you explained, expand the star expander until I couldn’t move the rotors by hand, in order to get the parking cable to engage enough. I have a concern though. I test drove the car for a few miles afterwards and found that since the parking shoes are dragging a bit from expanding the adjusters so much, the hub is getting quite hot, radiating through the rotor and even to the wheel! Is there a break-in period with these new parking shoes? I’m afraid the extra heat is going to start warping rotors and hurting the wheel bearings.

    • @matt-diy
      @matt-diy 11 дней назад

      I had the same thing happened and it stopped after about 30-40 miles, it does get pretty hot but I haven’t noticed any issues you should be okay. Really, it is a poor design that they made them like this and I never even use them!!!!

    I have to do a complete suspension rebuild on my 03 Crown Vic Sport. I'm not doing jacks and Jack stands!!!!!! I'm just way too old and broken do that crap! I think you covered all the points quite well! Although I have quite plenty of room to put in a regular to post lift, The lift that I want to install is quite expensive. I'm not ready for that at the moment and I think this will Suffice for this particular job that I have to do on this particular vehicle. While I really do love my two post lifts, I kind of like the convenience of this for a great deal of work that I would be doing. Not only would it work quite well with the suspension project, I think it would do extremely well for the majority part of my coyote swap in my 03 Mach1. I do think that I will need to look at the Lift points on the Mach1. Either way, I'd still get this thing for the Crown Vic. I appreciate your review, sir!😎

    I would suggest you get the sensor taken care of while there is support for it. What is the power requirement for the Balancer, and does the Tire Machine have a bead blaster? One other thing, if you ever have issues with that Duckbill scratching wheels, you can use one of the red plastic ones. Thanks for posting up the feed back about both machines.

    • @matt-diy
      @matt-diy 15 дней назад

      Just runs off of 120v, 20amp recommended. No bead blaster. It already has a plastic guard on the duckbill that it comes with.

    Despite making sure the pressure was good I have always had issues with the jacks not dropping the whole way down. They almost go down enough to clear but I always have to help them along and that can be a pain. Other than that not a lot to complain except what was already discussed the design of the locking mechanisms could of been designed better.

    I have the older base model midsize 570. Mine still only has about 212hrs and still looks new. Mine did not come with any storage compartments under the seat. I bought a set of 3 so I not only now have the big one in the middle, I have one of each side of it. It's also nice because it seals out dust and mud from he bottom of the seat. Mine doesn't have those storage nets on the back of the dash. Mine just has that little shelf which is pretty much worthless for anything other than some gloves. I'm gonna look for some kind of mesh I can add to mine. Had mine for 2 years and it's been nothing but great. I take care of my stuff and don't put a lot of hrs on it. Kinda considering selling mine just because they are still worth so much money and getting one of those Kei Japanese trucks for utility use to get enclosed cab and heat/ac. Plus I already have a dirt bike if I want to really go have some off-road fun.

    Just thinking. Wouldn’t it be easier to disconnect the torque converter from the flywheel before lifting the engine ? Leaving the converter in the transmission. Also reducing the risk of damage something ? Any thoughts?

      Possibly! Can’t remember why we chose to do it this way specifically.

    Thank you for your video!!! Just bought an older Focus with a bit of a rough idle and some sputtering. About to change plugs, PCV valve, and some other things. You video was very informative.
