Another great one from Willie & Waylon and the Outlaw era Sturgill is great. He sounds similar to Waylon not by design I don’t believe, but just by chance. Thankfully he’s not too proud to cover the man.
From Waylons ‘Ramblin Man’ album 1974 I’ve always felt that this song should’ve received more shine

Sturgill is great but nobody touches Waylon on this song.
Sturgill is such a treasured artist. reminds me so much of Waylon. This song and this specific line is just incredible song writing - "Hoping them circles don't call back telling me to start today" If you are under, I dont know, I guess 40, this line will pass you by. Put if you ever needed a job and all you had was the want ads, then this line is a complete mike drop
