Decrease row - Terrazzo Neck by Petite Knit
Sorry about the camera orientation!
This is the decrease row of the front panel - where you do twisted rib for the border, k1, k2together, knit until next decrease where you slip, knit, pass over to decrease, then the rest of the twisted rib border.

How to pick up dropped knit through back loop (ktbl) with crochet hook
Просмотров 1,8 тыс.Год назад
I'm knitting half twisted rib flat which is 'ktbl, p' on RS and 'ptbl, k' on WS. I dropped a stitch earlier during stockinette, so decided to drop back the stitch and fix it. I had never had to crocket or pick up stitches that were KTBL, so thought I'd show you how I did it! In the end I think it turned out well! Happy knitting

Ingrid Sweater - sleeve decreases in mock cable section
Просмотров 8 тыс.2 года назад
Hey guys, so sorry I already finished this one and didn't film me knitting it. Across the two sweaters I tried different methods just to see what it would look like. Method 1: borrow the stitch from the row before (where you're plain knitting) and use that for the cable - if you're on a row where half your cable is gone from a decrease. Method 2: Just do a plain knit stitch for the cable where ...

How to Knit - Magic Loop
Просмотров 1,4 тыс.2 года назад
Sorry, this doesn't include cast on, but I will film when I'm doing one next! Magic loop sounds like this crazy technique, really it's just working some stitches at a time and making a smaller loop. Step one: pull out the cable on the opposite end of where your needle points are - so half your stitches are at the front, and half at the back. step two: make sure the needles at the front are the ...

Zipper Sweater by Petite Knit - Folding the Collar
Hello, can you add Turkish subtitles to better understand what you are saying?
So helpful thank you so much!! ❤
Thank you for the video and your valuable explanations!😻
Hello could you please send the pattern description? I could not find anywhere :(
Me podria indicar como montar los puntos para el cuello, soy de colombia y soy novata en el tejido pero me encantaria hacer este modelo
Literally a blessing you took the time to make these videos. Extremely grateful!!
Thanks. That was confusing
What confused me is the advise to fold it with the RS out but also the Cast on Edge should be the bottom needle ?
Omg!! My name starts with a K too!! I’ll just copy you >:)
So I am trying to knit the same size as you and when I read the pattern it says the neckline increase is 12 stitches and from my understanding you are only increasing by 4. I am new to knitting a sweater, so please excuse my ignorance! Thank you
Thank you so much for your videos! Super clear and definitely motivating
Thank you!! I don't think I would have set this up properly on my own!!!
Hi I really appreciate your video but I have a question, in the row 1, when we turn the work it says "2 stitches after the increase" but does it change for the other rows? I don't understand why some people say to turn after 4 stitches.. thank you for your help!
Thank you so much for this ❤
How width is your collar?
Wish you’d shown the last step too, I’ve no idea what to do with the last stitch left 😅😂
Is that wool not itchy when worn against the skin?
Hi! I'm not quite sure what yarn source to use when I switch to the front panel, with the in-the-round pattern. Around 12:40, when you bind of the back panel and move to the front, do you cut the yarn from the back and use that, or do you join a new ball of yarn to the front?
Hi! Gosh I actually can't remember now, I think a new ball of yarn. Probably the best option because you won't have any problems with this, you can just weave in the ends!
@@knitsbyk6964 Thank you!!
I’m having a hard time reading this pattern. If I am to make an adult large how many stitches do I cast on? In the round?
Back panel for adult size L says 90 stitches. For in the round, you'd want to double it!
Hi !! How did you cast both side ( top & bottom) plz share vdo .Any ways I saw zipper vdo it was nice 👌 keep on posting
So simple. Well thought through. Thanks heaps.
Did you have to change the gague at all for the Aran city tweed?
Hello Thank you for the tutorial if possible would you explain how to start row 19. All the other mock cables use 2 stitches and this one only uses 1. Thank you.
Hello Thank you for the video. I have a question regarding the body chart and the cross stitch. On row 19 it shows LC to begin row but only for one stitch? Not sure how to do this because all the other cross stitches use two stitches. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Thank you this was very helpful ❤
Can I p,ease ask what yarn did you use for your zipper sweater. Thank you.
Thank you so much excellent x
Thank you so much for this! I'm starting the Zipper Sweater Light right now and the pattern does mention to use two sets of circular needles but the Petiteknit video tutorial made it look like she was only using one so I attempted that and quickly realised that that couldn't be right, haha. Well, thankfully I didn't get very far so I'll just have to cast on again, sigh.
My sleeves came out so big and when I was finished with the decreases, it was already long enough to start the cuff. Is that right?
Thanks so much
This is just what I needed. I’m substituting German short rows for W&T in seed stitch and getting confused. This helps
I can't understand one word she's saying!
The Aussie accent can certainly be difficult for some ears!
@@knitsbyk6964 thank you.
can someone explain how to get the held sitches from the cast on?
Can I pleased ask what yarn did you choose to make this sweater. I love your videos they are greatly appreciated
Can you please help me I am making the Ingrid sweater and am now up to the neck increases on the left shoulder but if I increase ie M1 the increase stitch is at the sleeve edge not the neck edge is this correct. Thank you so so much.
This technique differs from a lot of others in that it creates the desired fit by simply adding a wedge on the back of the neck between the raglan increases, never going past them. This technique not only works great but is far simpler to work into any pattern. Just as shown make the collar, add the wedge, then go about the rest of your pattern as normal.
Im knitting this sweater for a man, but im wondering if the size M will work HELP
Cannot believe this you knit the same way as me. Really lovely. Great tip
Wish you would of included start and finish but I managed. Also wouod been nice to see the finished look on inside, I wish had a smoother flatter seam
Thank you! I was hesitant to fix my work, tried once on my own without success, then looked for advice online and found your video. So clear! And zooming in was helpful! Again, thank you.
lifesaver!
Thanks so much! I'm finishing up the PetiteKnit Friday slipover, which has this technique--just needed the visual. Your sweater is beautiful!
Thank you so much. This is very helpful as the pattern is sooooo poorly written.
Hii, I am knitting the Ingrid sweater but I'm having trouble: when you turn, do you count the turn stich as the first stich of the double moss pattern? For example, if I'm working the first row of the pattern (1k, 1p), after turing and working the stitch with two legs i knit or purl? I really hope you can help, I'm losing my mind!
hi, this is my first time working with short rows and I'm having the same issue, were you able to figure it out? thanks :)
Thank you!!.
what yarn are you using for this?
I have always been a visual learner and trying to do this pattern with just the written instructions is difficult so I greatly appreciate this video
Thanks for this! Im a new knitter and I needed some help understanding this in my jumper pattern!! It was just what I needed!
SO glad I checked out your other vids as the 'fold down collar' vid is the one that came up with the search for petiteknit zipper sweater vids and that vid was so good, that even tho i haven't started, I watched it and then subscribed and checked out your other vids. Self-taught knitter like most of us now I think, so these are so SO helpful as patterns are written for experienced knitters so I need the knit-along help for each new step/section too. please do more vids! you're great at it!
Thank you for making this vid! About to start this pattern and am a bit over my head at step 1 (lol). Just subscribed to say thanks and checked out your other vids -- yay, you ended up doing the cast on vid too! gonna head over to watch that now as i just found this one fist. so good to see these semi 'knit-alongs' with these patterns and gives me great ideas too of what other patterns to buy next. :)
