It would be interesting to see if you used the actual ABS profile from raise for idea maker rather than the grabcad profile suited to the f170. And then try running the stratasys on the ideamaker profile..? Just to compare apples to apples. Just a little advice on the profile. For something so thin, setting infill at 75% makes no sense? 100% won’t make much difference to time if maybe even speed it up when changing from std Gyroid used when less than 100%. You also don’t need the massive block of support to support a domed ceiling/roof, which it seems to be looking at your model. Rafts are better and help to prevent warping, I’d check your interface settings before giving up on those. At least your layer height zgap should be used. Usually more with the sticky filaments like abs/PETG etc. also increase fan speed at the interface layers to harden them quicker before laying down your first print layers. Kind regards.

I just got this Anycubic M3 MAX and I am very disappointed, the pump stopped working after one hour of use. The Display screen is like from the 90's, the whole machine shows poor quality, technology inside is old, VERY SLOW, cheaply made at premium price. I may will return it if their CS does not help with the issues, the reply back but with copy/paste replies that has nothign to do with your problem, not helpful. The Elegoo seems like a good choice, I like the enclosure as you can plug a pipe for the fumes. Seem all the M3 MAX problems was disappointing.

Why does a refill "system" even need a pump? Just have a holder that holds the opening of your resin bottle in the vat at whatever depth your want your resin to stay at. That's it. The resin will pour out of the bottle until the level in the vat reaches the opening of the bottle. Once the resin reaches the opening of the bottle, air can no longer get into the bottle and a partial vacuum is formed in the bottle preventing more resin from filling the vat. When the level in the vat drops below the opening of the bottle once more, air can rush in equalizing the pressure in the bottle allowing some more resine to flow out. It's super simple. No pumps, no power, no sensors or computers needed, nothing extra to clean, will work with any bottle and is basically fail proof. There simple ways to make this even better, like drilling one hole in the top of the lid and another on the neck at the desired resin depth, this way air isn't trying to enter the bottle the same way resin is trying to leave and with smaller holes, it's much easier to remove the bottle without too much spillage.

I like the weight and construction, and I think the feeding system of the Elegoo Jupiter, but I need it to be larger. I might have to get a Mega 8K from Phrozen as I am printing 1 to 4 foot models of Star Trek ships, so the least amount of pieces that I can make to model them, the happier I am about it. I have had problems with the auto resin feed on the M3 Max, which from what I have seen, It works well or not at all. I have also had issues with Anycubic CS, and waiting forever for parts to ship. I don't like that the Jupiter is 6K also. It is probably Stupid on my part and my models are somewhat simple, but if any of these companies come out with a 10K, or 12k model and can print on like a 20 inch screen like 2 feet on the Z axis and can be like in the 6000 dollar range, I will be there.

I have been using the M3, and the M3 max. Good price, but so far the slicing is a pain in the ass, and the company sucks to deal with. I use Chitubox, but it converts the files into Anycubic files which has issues. I have been looking at Phrozen Mega 8K but I have seen some negative reviews on that, but that will happen with any and I am sure all of them. I have had to wait 3 weeks to get a replacement screen. That Sucks as I have been selling Star Trek models on Ebay, and now have to wait. I think I will order another screen or 2 to have spare.

    - Rusty rails - Cracked rear window - Flimsy noisy front metal panel - Buggy screen - 10sec freezes at lift and retract - Normal 5h print is 25h due to stutter - Pump screams at power on - Pump literally sucks, in reverse - homing sometimes compresses the screen for no reason, risky. Anycubic sold us a 1000$ trash can. I'm so pissed. They act like its nothing. Barely responding. Go with Elegoo, much more reliable and responsive.

The peristaltic pump for resin recovery seems like a more elegant solution than Elegoo or Anycubic’s sending solution, however what is there to stop hardened bits of resin in the vat from being sent back into the bottle and creating free radicals that can mess up future prints?

We've been using the Raised3D Pro2 for over 4 years. When it runs, it is very accurate and gives really good prints. It runs most of the time, but it goes down now and again. This is due to the printhead. If we purchase a new one ($79 US) the printer will run great for many prints. When it needs rebuilding, if we build it ourselves it rarely worked. It must be built exactly like a new one. If not, the filament will jam and the head will need to be taken apart. Not sure if E2 uses the same heads as the Pro2. With the Pro2, I have never been able to print with dissolving supports. Not with PLA or ABS. However, the supports are not difficult to remove, and Raised3D does a very good job with rafts. Actually, we now use rafts for all prints. I am trying to find a different brand, but Raised3D really seems the best. Probably switching from Pro2 to E2.
