I have been fortunate enough to pursue my love for motorsports by working for some amazing Rally teams, building some incredible race cars, and getting involved in the automotive community. I'm currently living in Germany and my content includes vlogs, car reviews, DIY's, event coverage, and track days. Hello, i have question. Why do you to change gear knob plate( N R D etc..) ? Can i recycle that ?
Reason you replace it is because 99% of the time it will crack or get damaged when removing it. That’s a big reason why the kit comes with one.

@@weedminer I bought it straight from the dealership. They tend to be cheaper than the million and one motorsports website vendors. Specially if you become friends with the parts department. Part number is SKU: 51165A5D595.

Any issues with it when doing high speeds? I ordered it and still waiting but I’m worried it might break somehow under pressure
0 issues. Drive the car on the autobahn countless times and hit 300km/hr multiple times with it and stuck on 0 issues.

Hey bro, did you ever get it PPF wrapped while you were here? If you did, where did you take it? I’m trying to find somewhere nearby to PPF my G80
I did. Got full front, roof, , side mirrors, headlights, and side skirts. All done by Pascal at LP Foil in Nuremberg. Highly recommend him and you will most likely end up seeing a ton of exotics while there!

It should I had another 1/2ish inch of space when retracting the charger plate. While putting the phone in.
You make it look easy, but was it? I really want to do these upgrades to my M2C but not sure I trust my own capability! I know if I go to BMW to do the install it will be expensive.
It is easy as long as you go slow and don’t start pulling things. Everything should pop and you shouldn’t snap any clips.
@@HMDrivenso I ordered the kit from BMW and fitted it on Friday (10/05) with my Dad. Took it steady and followed your video as we did it and it was 💯 👌 interior looks awesome now. M Performance decal kit is the next mod I think 🤔
Your video inspired me to do the same for my G87. How much did you torque those bolts/nuts after you installed the CSL strut brace?
The TQ spec for the strut brace is 28Nm or 21 ft/lbs

Thanks for this. It's been years of running a cable to charge my phone as I use Google maps. I finally installed an Android MMI Box and was eagerly waiting to finally use the wireless charger. Went to the local car wash, and one of the guys broke the adapter whilst cleaning the car and didn't say anything about it. On to the next DIY 😊
@dini_g80 did you weld the OPF to this single midpipe? or what method did you use to eliminate this also by software?

Don't buy this product if you ever plan on using a car wash- mine was damaged the very 1st time-Warranty does not cover. So they refused my request for a refund.
Just my two sense… this is a self inflicted issue. 1 if you care about the car you should be handwashing or using a touch less car wash. 2 any time a wash is being done it should be removed. Common sense and not Carbonio’s fault.

Has anyone tried to use the car with the wireless charger unplugged? Do you see error messages on the screen or in diagnosis? I installed the adapter as indicated here in the video (thanks to the author for the clear and exhaustive video 😊) but when I tried to position the phone it heats up a lot and charges slowly, so I would like to remove the wireless charger and take advantage of a larger storage in the armrest.
Sorry if the video wore you out lol. There shouldn’t be any codes that populate if you do a wireless charger delete.
@@HMDriven It didn't bore me, in fact it was very useful, thanks to that I was able to adapt the wireless support to my "big" phone. Unfortunately, in my case it's not very efficient (it charges slowly and warms) so I'm thinking of removing it, hoping not to run into error messages in the iDrive or in diagnosis when I take the car to the dealer for maintenance
I find this video as underwhelming as you found the original key…. Does this new key actually DO anything different, or add any FUNCTIONALITY? Or it just looks a little more sexy?

I have a 2019 M2C with stage 2, full exhaust, etc and it's a game changer.
Just picked up a 2020 M2C with 11k miles. It’s completely stock. Any issues you have encountered during ownership? How hard do you drive the car? I’m hesitant to accelerate hard from a roll and people have said not to drive the car in D3 setting
@@ethanmj4277 my timing chain jumped at 42k miles. Bought a crank hub, professionally installed, & never looked back.

The stock exhaust on these is terrible. I’m still trying to figure out what to do with my setup.
It is definitely way too quiet. i will say the single mid-pipe wakes it up!
From a completely stock standpoint, I agree with the initial power out of the factory and the stock suspension.I daily my F87 with the occasional track days in the warmer months of the north east US. Granted I went down the rabbit hole of a Öhlins coils, Mosselman hybrid turbos and upgraded fueling, along with a custom tune the car truly comes alive for me. The stock suspension was the night and day difference when I swapped over to coils and the hybrid turbos along with my Bend calibration custom tune gives me a street tune and a track appropriate one. The F8x is a very common chassis you'll find at most tracks, it certainly can be a "nervous" chassis around certain turns that the G8x does better but the raw feeling and the looks has beyond made this car a keeper for me.
The S55 can definitely be a nasty powerful platform and good move with going with the Ohlins. Great set up that really settles the car down and makes it a bit more stable. glad you are enjoying it!

I went from an F87 to a G80 M3 comp x drive and honestly, I do not regret to change at all. The car is more refined and a bit more comfortable. But then again I do miss the F87’s raw nature.
Yes i drove them both love the combination of the g80 comfort and sporty driving, but the f87 feels way more analog and raw. Love the dct over the zf, but mabey xhp flash could change that. Its a hard pick🥲
@@Madman568a remap of the ZF will get it up to the violence of the DCT. Hell even the CS/CSL map would make it a bit better. Doing the M driving experience I did find issues with the ZF when hitting the top of the rev range. The delay from paddle engagement to shifting was noticeable to the point I hit the redline fuel cut a couple of times. The DCT would engage immediately.

Our midpipe comes with a MAD brace . Did you not get one?
I bought the mid pipe from another owner when I was living in Germany. Didn’t receive the brace.
I mean its not a track car so not going to be ready for the track. I mean the fact that its a brake fluid and track pad away from beating it up on the track all day and have no issues that is pretty impressive. The stock pads are fine for daily and for easy tracks or novice drivers, they dust a lot though and if you beat on them they will definitely not be up to the task. Its a great car really. Congrats on the new one!

Moomoo you are correct....a good buddy of mine bought a new Porsche GT3 that he tracks....he changed out brake fluid and pads...maybe even rotors. But love the M2.
